Fridge in the room was very loud. Could not turn off. Tub was very high to step in for a shower. They did have a stool there for use. You could walk through town if desired. Buffet was good.

We only went for dinner to the restaurant at the hotel (which is not the “Sufra” restaurant anymore which was recommended in our guide) and were disappointed: for a 5 star hotel we hoped for way more. The food was not very original or at least traditional. The service was okay, the waiter was friendly. The hotel itself seems to be beautiful. We will not come here to eat again.

The lunches here are amazing. The waiters will do everything in their power to make your stay rememorable. The views of the old medina walls are worth a visit alone. The reception staff will arrange any trips or tours you wish to go on.

The hotel itself is authentic and pretty but it is such a pity to hire such unprofessional people to work at the reception. The night-shift person was so rude and so out of line! Smoking in the reception while I am talking to him and even yelling and talking rudely to me. Making scenarios in his own head and behaving very aggressively. The guy was so not normal, that we did not feel secure and decided to leave the hotel before the end of our stay and lost money booking an other hotel at the city. When I get a room in a 5 stars hotel, i expect the client to come first and the staff to be better trained! Such a pity that such a pretty hotel will be getting less and less clients because of the bad service and the shameful behavior of some people working there.

While visiting Kairouan, we popped in for Lunch and the hotel is fabulous. Lunch buffet was excellent and the right amount of choices. It was a hot day and entering the hotel was like a oasis. Beautiful courtyard with a very inviting swimming pool. Shame the staff were a bit grumpy and unattentive. Otherwise a great place to eat and stay.

Probably the best hotel in Kairouan. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. The public areas are impressive and the highlight is sitting in the courtyard by the pool drinking a beer (or other drink of your choice). We had dinner here, which was fine, but nothing special. The service was good, but we had food that was just as good in a street cafe.

Beautiful and unique hotel located inside the town’s fort. The decor in the rooms feels a bit 90s, but the common areas are spotless.

The building itself is super impressive, but the rooms were lackluster. Most of the staff were polite. We were disappointed with the hookah cafe. They required every person in your group to order a dessert and a coffee/tea in order to place an order for one hookah. It's probably the nicest place in town to stay.

Food was nice, but self services are very confusing. Waiters were very rude. We ordered tea and Colla, but tea never arrived. When we wanted to pay, waited forgot to give us 10 dinar change. Waiters does not know how to serve drinks or how to talk with the guests. It's 5 stars restaurant, but is just looks posh, services are very poor, toilets not tidy, even 3 star hotel in Sousse has better understanding and better standards to great the guests and make their stay pleasant. Do not recommend this hotel to anyone

Referring to the reviews below with the management replying ‘we will take measurements about the receptionists’ attitude’ is a joke The tall guy wearing glasses and bold head is super rude, when being asked about the differences between the room types that they offered it’s different from what we booked, he mocked my friend which is utter ridiculous. Luckily our driver was there defending us Never in a million years this is a 5 star hotel. Allowing people to smoke in the lobby? Even the rooms can smell cigarette because of it Utter ridiculous NEVER

The people who work in the spa are very disrespectful but the masseuse "Jawaher" was jovial and did a great job. I went last week and someone told me that they work without certificates, and I found out when I asked some other people.

Large hotel, comfortable bed, spacious room, good service, buffet restaurant, huge pool, great security... It's in an old walled fortress
