The temple is situated on the outskirts of Amritsar. This is place where wife of lord Rama, Mata Sita lived with her son luv and Kush. It has so much religious significance and brief history. The cleanliness in the temple premises is next to excellent. It has some wonderful scenic views. Great to visit on weekends as it's a gem to visit in Amritsar. If you're visiting Amritsar then it's a must go place.

Very beautiful and serene place to visit. The temple of Valmiki is built newly inside a sarovar. Then you can visit Labh Kush pathsala, and baniyan tree where Sita Mata used to live and at this tree Labh Kush roped Ram's ashwamedh horse.

I love this temple. I don't think your trip is complete without visiting this historic place. This place has link to mata Sita, Saint Valmiki ji and hanuman ji. I lived the ambiance of the place. You can make one day trip to visit fort gobindgarh, Khalsa College, this temple and wagha border. Just be careful to leave on time from this temple so that you reach by retreat ceremony in time. I would definitely like to visit here again with more time.

A fairly new temple devoted to sage Valmiki. The grounds are also the birth place of Luv and Kush the sons of Lord Rama and mother Sita. The original buildings are fairly well kept. We were however disappointed at the number of women demanding to place dots on our foreheads for a fee. This needs to be regulated and done more on a needs basis. The temple grounds are well maintained however the surrounding areas could do with a clean up to add to the spiritual enviroment. A proper place should be designed to accommodate visitors shoes instead of having to leave them with the hawkers. Otherwise a good place to visit in Amritsar although it is about 15km on the outskirts on the way to the Wagah border.

It was good experience to visit Ram Tirath Mandir. Actually Me and my friends got late and we reached the temple after 8 ' o 'clock in evening, so the main temple got shut but we saw other temples and area. At night the temple and monuments looks beautiful. At the entry you have to submit your shoes and then you can enter the temple. Overall good experience in visting and everyone should visit this place.

Very peaceful and serene place, little off from the city. We visited during the daytime, still it was enjoyable and a cool breeze was flowing. Big structure, huge lake with lots of fishes and tortoises in it. My kid enjoyed feeding them. The reality of the historic importance that they claim is debatable, but you will definitely enjoy this place. Do visit if you have little extra time during your amritsar trip.

It's a beautiful temple located in Amritsar. The structure is so divine & serene. It is historical important for India. It is dedicated to Rishi Valmiki & Sita Mata. But there are very less visitors. I hope more people visit this spectacular holy place. It's a must visit.

Good place. You have to walk little bit and there are small caves to give little bit of adventurous experience. Nothing much to see just the caves and old constructions and museum. Good scenic beauty during sunrise and sunset.

Very beautifully developed valmiki ji temple. However the actually history is on the back side where Sita mata gave birth to luv and kush. Temple is surrounded by a Sarovar. Also don't go in afternoon hours as there are not proper matts when you take a complete round. But staying for some time there would definitely bring some peace. The place is around 30 min drive from golden temple and don't attract to much traffic as of now

It is a very relaxing temple dedicated to Valmiki which can be visited at any time. It is also said to be the birth place of Luv and Kush and there is a hut like structure built inside the temple which shows that Mata Sita stayed there.

A neat and spacious area. Worth the visit if you like to visit spots from Hindu epics ( in this case, the pathshala area and birth place area of Luv and Kush). The main temple has the statue of Valmiki since it is believed that he wrote the Srimad Ramayan from this place. It is a spot on the way to Attari- Wagah border from Amritsar.

HISTORY - Bhagwan Valmiki Tirath Asthan, dedicated to Maharishi Valmiki ji is situated 11 km west of Amritsar on Amritsar Lopoke road. As per the mythological beliefs, The temple dates back to the period of Ramayana and the place is famous for the ashram of sage Maharishi Valmiki. It is the place where the sage gave shelter to Sita, wife of Rama when she was abandoned after the Lanka Victory. The place is birthplace of Lava and Kusha, sons of Ramachandra, in ashrama of Saint Balmiki. The great epic Ramayana is also said to have been written here by Maharishi Valmiki. It is also believed that the fight between Lord Ram Chandra's forces and Lav and Kush had also taken place at Ram Tirth.

The place is situated on Ram Tirth road. About 10-12 km from the railway station. It's good to visit during the early morning hours when it's all quiet and serene. We were at the place for about 1.5 to 2 hours sitting around the pond. Its main temple is beautiful from within and so is the whole campus.

Awesome place related to Ramayan, this place is 12-15 km from Amritsar and not many tourists go there, hence you will find it peaceful This is the place where mata Sita spent many years of her life and gave birth to Luv & Kush, also this is where Luv Kush brought the house of Ashvamedh yagya ..so as per me a must visit place!!

A well maintained beautiful place where one can find almost all the hindu idols one names. It's distant from the golden temple campus of Amritsar, though if one loves travelling do give it a visit. No entry fee.

Absolute pious place. The history as shared by locals has so much importance to this blissful Marvel. Maha Muni Valmiki resided here. Mata Sita gave birth to Luv & Kush and their education happened here. The lake around this temple has a specific story where Lord Hanuman was requested Sita Mata to get her small pond to be dug overnight, as she is finding difficult to go to a far of pond to fetch water. Than Hanuman Dug this pond in few hours . He stamped his 2 feet and half. When he heard someone was milking goats to make butter, he thought it was already morning but it still mid night. As he stopped he did not continue digging ……. The pond is around 2o acres and it is awesome ti be around it. There are spots where Sita mata has a specific well for her bathing…. Luv & Kush study place etc. The belief is that people not having kids would be blessed to have one…. If they visit this place. The children would prosper if they visit this location. It is lil away from main town Amritsar ……. Private transport would be lil expensive unless well negotiated….. people are friendly……. Pious and unwinding …….

One of the most important place related to ramayan period. It was said that when lord Ram left sita. She stayed in valmiki aashram. She gave birth to lov-kush and they raised here. They fought with hanuman and other only. They tied hanuman in the tree. It's such a lovely part of the ramayan. Please check the story before visit. You will definitely like the place.

It is a nice and serene place having quite surroundings for the post part. The road leading to the place however implies the cleanliness standards of the city in general (not the cleanest city). Coming back to the point, most monuments in the city are well maintained and cleansed, and this is no exception. Do visit if you get a chance as it is at somewhat outer of the city.
