We were on trip to Kerala, Fort kochi and Alleppey. One of the most cheating place is Fort Kochi the food is very bad expect for few places most of them are just scams with lot of fake reviews. And this place is one of the fake ones We ordered fish and chips and you can look at the photo I added it was no way close to the expectations. And the cook used same fish for both the dishes we ordered which is very cheap fish. And the owner kept bugging us until we finished and ran away from him. We also ordered lassi which was very close to be called Butter milk rather than Lassi which will be way more thicker. I would not recommended for tourists.

Excellent home cooked food in Kochi! We came back two nights in a row, then booked in for a cooking class. What an amazing experience. Mary’s food is simple and so tasty - she is a great teacher and we will definitely be able to replicate the recipes at home. If you are in Kochi, I highly recommend you stop by for dinner and do a class if you can. Fish mango curry and prawn Molly were highlights for us.

Delicious home cooked Keralan food and cooking lessons!! I’ve been travelling India for 2 months and this was one of my favourite meals so far. I had the fish mango curry and it was so tasty I came back the next day for a cooking class. Mary and her husband are lovely and so accommodating, and you can taste the love in each dish - all made with fresh ingredients. Would recommend 100% :)

Wow. The best meal we have had so far, and we have had a lot of good local food. We have plain basmati, mango fish, pea and cashew nut curry and a garlic naan. The fish and curry had a good depth of flavour and we asked for normal/local spice and it had the perfect amount of tingling heat. Unlike some other garlic naan, it was more subtle, and it didn't overpower the dishes. We will come again to try other dishes.

Had such a nice experience taking a cooking class with Mary! On request she provided me with a full vegetarian class learning to cook 5 dishes. All food was super fresh and very homely. Her explanations were very clear and it was so nice to learn from her

Amazing home cooked meals with customised spice levels. Their service was also very efficient the staff was friendly. Highly recommend it. You can have your meal while viewing the cathedral Basilica.

The place was very nice, the atmosphere was very nice, the service was very friendly but the food left much disappointment. Me and my girlfriend have been travelling India a month and tried many kurma dishes and cashew currys and this one was unfortunately our least favourite.. both the currys were very watery and lacked the indian flavour punch of the rest weve had, also the pea and cashew curry was about 80% peas, we also orderd garlic naan which didnt seem to have any garlic in or on it which most other resturaunts do but we could smell the garlic so guessed it was just rubbed over. I hate leaving a bad review and spending money on food I dont enjoy but as the ratings were so high on Google I found my self in Mary's kitchen disappointed. I'm not sure if it was the food from marys or not but when we got back to the hotel my girlfriend was really I'll. Sorry for the bad review but honesty is the best policy.

We took a cooking class from Mary. She is very good in teaching you how to cook Indian food. We learned how to cook four dishes and had it for lunch later on the rooftop. The class was from 11am till 1pm.

Awesome experience! The fish molly was delicate, fresh-lime soda I had two! 😁 Veg fried rice also good but the highlight was their garlic naan! Such smooth, tasty and well spiced Naan I hadn't tasted in whole India and I ate a few of those already ;) The staff is super sweet! Also the only Indian restaurant so far, where if you ask for MILD or NON SPICY, you actually get it. So, if you like it at least a little spicy, ask for spicy ;) because they are used to us Europeans and do the non spicy really non spicy ;) I've overheard a Holland couple complaining that it's not spicy for them :D whfn they asked for non spicy. 🤔 🤣

We came for lunch and had a delicious meal which made us come back 2 days later to do the cooking class - couldn’t recommend this class enough! Mary teacher you to cook 5 dishes which you then get to eat once finished. If you have time, and want to learn how to cook some delicious dishes with a lovely host - come to Mary’s kitchen!

We had chapathi and chicken kuruma at this restaurant were a delightful combination. The chapathi was soft and perfectly cooked, while the chicken kuruma was rich and flavorful, with just the right balance of spices. The dish was served hot and was a satisfying meal. We went here for dinner and were really disappointed that it didn't live up to the hype. The guy running it was lovely, but the food was well below average and actually overpriced considering the competition in the area. One particularly bad dish was the cauliflower curry, which managed to be too sweet and far too oily, with big chunks of not properly cooked out cornflour turning it into pure stodge. The nans weren't nan bread, they had no rise to them at all, they were more like paratha without any of the layering. I don't know if the place has gone downhill or if we just caught them on a bad day, because past reviews seem really good, but it was very disappointing, and it was both the worst and most expensive meal we've had since arriving in India a week ago.
