Wouldn't recommend, the units and property looked nice on the surface but after living there for a year it was apparent that maintenance doesn't keep up very well on things. On two separate occasions there was literally water leaking from my kitchen ceiling. It took maintenance 6 months to fix a faulty garage door unit that would randomly open on its own. And to top it off the complex was left half painted sometime last fall and looks ridiculous. The management/office people were shady as well and aren't very good at communicating with the residents at times. The pool was closed all summer and no explanation was given until September as to why, just paying for an amenity you can't use. They became downright rude after we gave notice that we wouldn't be renewing, and took a majority of our deposit for some pretty petty reasons. (Literally for some dust on the lip on the dish washer.)There are better places in the area for the price you're paying, I'd recommend Foxwood or Parkway flats over this place.

Walls are paper thin, I hear my neighbors all day. Bad squirrel problem in the walls making noise all night in building 13. I’ve had a live squirrel get into my apartment and they didn’t have someone show up for 8 days. They will tell you they can fix the problem but it’s been YEARS and it’s worse than ever. You must get the carpet professionally cleaned or rent a cleaner and give them a receipt in the move out instructions. This place is honestly a joke. They’re desperate for money charging a fortune for apartments that literally have animals chewing in walls. They do not make the moment right or compensate for any problems and mental distress they cause. My issues were dismissed for years. If someone would’ve helped me with the struggles I’ve endured living here I might not have even shared my awful experience here because writing this is a waste of my time. The thousands of dollars I’m getting charged to break my lease (my choice I was aware of) is the best decision I’ve made since living here. I feel it’s only right to share my experience. Save yourself the headache and live somewhere else. You’ll just get a “sorry your experience with us was so bad, we have reached out already and will do absolutely nothing but make it look like we care”. Do better.

I've lived here for five years, I'm moving out this month and I will MISS IT. Pros: + It's safe and people are super friendly. + Surrounded by green and forest with trails, it's peaceful. + Close to WMU campus and downtown Kalamazoo. + Front desk staff is amazing and always answered my questions fast. + Maintenance staff is wonderful and fast, always get the job done. + Pool is clean and never overcrowded or noisy. + Updated appliances, great balconies. + Pricey compared to others, but worth it. Cons: - Floors/ceilings are paper thin, pray you don't get noisy neighbors. I struggled with this constantly, but the staff is willing to hear you out and help. - No rules on smoking. Neighbors below me smoke and it comes up through the windows and floor. - Close to WMU campus, sometimes fireworks from games, events, or loud students Overall rating, 5/5, I recommend this place highly!

if you don’t want to get taken advantage of dont move here. Ive been living here for a few years and my rent has went up by a landslide, our apartments where left with only primer on the front for about a year. It was so embarrassing knowing i pay this much for it to look like this. Ive had a rodent problem ever since I moved here.Thank goodness I have a cat because my house would be filled with mice! They never even tried to help with that problem, the maintenance, horrible they dont care at all. Towards the end of the summer I had multiple bees come into my room and it got so crazy I couldn’t go into my room had to call them FIVE times and I had to speak to a maintenance man face-to-face in order for someone to come.It took THREE times and almost 2 months for them to just patch up a hole they already knew was there and they never patched it. They just let me know I have to wait til a dead roadent turns into skeleton for the dead smell to go away they cant do anything at all not even try to see if they can see it I stay with my mom here and I tell her all the time she needs to move out but its soo hard to find a house while still living in these expensive apartments for no reason. My apartment in Concord had less problems than this place. DO NOT MOVE HERE.

We’ve lived here about 2 and a half years now and there’s been numerous issues. Our air was out a good amount of the summer and every time we tried to get it fixed the maintenance person would say it’s working fine despite our apartment getting up to 86 degrees. The only reason he ended up fixing it is because he had to work on our sink when a pipe burst and flooded our kitchen and he was covered in sweat after being in the apartment for 30 minutes working on the sink. I was borrowing my mom’s car and it got towed because I didn’t have a pass despite my neighbor being outside and telling the tow truck driver that I in fact was a resident. Management doesn’t care and says “we’re a towing community so there’s nothing we can do about it.” They wont give me a temporary parking pass while my car is getting fixed either.

Greediest management I've ever lived at. They took $150 out of my deposit after moving out for a couple easy-to-forget pieces of paper and refused to refund me when I offered to return them. They didn't properly prepare the apartment before I moved in, and then charged me for the missing CO alarm and a couple leftover objects in the unit that I assumed were standard. They raised rent $210 after the first year, and gave me little time to find a new apartment complex before the required 60 day notice period. Paying by the month would have been $330 more instead. Their prices are not worth the old quality buildings. During my stay I had the kitchen sink burst, flooding the apartment and destroying some of my personal items. Maintenance had to come back about four times because they did not thoroughly fix the issue, so it caused continued problems for about a month after the incident. The place looks nice from the outside but is not worth the price.

Pros: The apartments are located in the middle of everything. Cons: The wooden panels are constantly lifting as you leave and exit your home, in the wintertime the shoveling is half done, there’s limited lighting, while I resided there it took over a year to complete a paint job that was started, the entrance ponds are not well kept and appear FILTHY, and Meredith is extremely rude and unprofessional!!! I was charged an $100 fee despite constantly communicating with the leasing office agents for a parking pass that was RETURNED mind you it had the OLD apartment complex name.

So far, so good. The leasing experience has been great, considering I moved from about 7 hours away. Dixie has been very prompt with responding to my needs, having moved here from far away. The only reason for 4 and not 5 stars was the garage not being prepared for me, as it would help me organize the mess from move-in, such as breakdown of boxes and bubble wrap, etc. Otherwise, I really love how much space I have now and the new carpet and upgrades. I do wish there were more installed lighting. I will be needing many lamps. :) Love the location, setting with lots of greenery. Good place for pets I think. So far, people here seem to be good at picking up pet waste, except on my back patio area, where there is more trees and such. I will update once I have been here a while.

I’m a current resident and I love living here. Wildwood is in the perfect location of Kalamazoo, set back off West Main in a pretty, quiet forest setting that takes you away from the hustle of this big little city. It’s very peaceful here, yet it’s conveniently located next to everything! The management team in the office goes above and beyond to make sure residents are taken care of! I recently had an issue with my balcony I was concerned about and the team in the office made sure it was inspected and repaired promptly! I’m SO grateful that they listened to my concerns and took the time to make it right. Dixie is especially helpful and SO very mindful as a property manager. I just love her! 5/5 stars. Would recommend. The property refresh looks amazing, too!

It is a spectacular place to live, quiet, clean, surrounded by wonderful vegetation, the apartments are very cozy and spacious, and the best of all is that if you have a maintenance problem or a breakage inside the apartment, your complaint is answered quickly by the staff. It is a place where you find peace…
