My word! Don't make our mistake, get into McGonigle's as soon as you can! Seriously, this is Kalamazoo's hidden gem.. tucked away where you barely see it, but man oh man.. so worth the visit! Service was amazing, our server Lindsey was outstanding! The hostess greeted us as we entered and got us seated promptly and happily The Food.. just check the pictures! The breaded mushrooms where so good, we got an order to go. The breading was super thin, crispy, and melts in your mouth. The fish, fries, and dogs where all perfectly done. The breading on the fish was just as thin and perfect as on the mushrooms. The beer selection was top notch. And that to go order.. even nukes later the breading was STILL perfect! Don't be like us and miss this hidden gem for long!

Wow! I've been driving by this little hidden gem for years with no idea it was even there. I've been to McGonigle's to eat twice this week and going back again tonight. I just can't get enough of those batter fried mushrooms and cod fillets. The coating is so thin, crisp and flaky. My mouth is watering just talking about it. And the cod is an actual thick fillet with tender white flakes. Their onion rings are sweet and crisp too. You really get the flavor of the food, not a mouthful of breading and oil like all the other places in kalamazoo. The service is top notch, friendly and genuine. You can tell the people who work here love this place as much as the customers enjoy going there. The only thing that would make this better is an ice cold beer. Oh wait! They have that too! Definitely love at first bite.

This is a great place! Excellent food and service...they are super generous with portion sizes, and have great prices. Simple atmosphere and clean dinning & bar area. There is a separate dinning room if you don't want to dine in the same room as the bar. They always have some great specials! Check them out....

Friendly service. Large menu. Fair prices. We enjoyed the sizzler steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, salad and Texas toast. The location is an older strip mall that may cause some people to pass this restaurant up. Look past the exterior, and give the restaurant a try.

Wait staff seem scattered minded. Had to pick 3 different beers to find one they had in stock. Forgot pop and waters. Appetizers came out with the meal, when we asked for things to be spaced out. Not 5 minutes after getting all this food at ONCE , the waitress asked if we wanted take home boxes. Then in her next pass by the table asks again. Felt very rushed. The only thing that was delayed was the bill. This place was highly recommended by Kalamazoo Menu FB page. I have no clue why. Highly unlikely to be returning, even though we live 3-4 miles away.

An Eastside Kalamazoo staple for decades! Great food, drinks & service. We went for the Thursday prime rib special dinner first, then the following week we went for lunch. Excellent drinks, hot & fresh baked potatoes, large portions of prime rib, yummy bacon cheeseburger, pan fried whitefish and the best ranch & raspberry vinaigrette dressing in town!

RACIST.. I watched the bartender Over Charge an A.A. Woman for a beer & Basicly to use the BATHROOM. The stomach turning behavior didn't stop there. The beer she bought wasn't even for Herself, it was for a young lady that was crying outside that she (the A.A woman) was encouraging not to give up on Love, because she was heartbroken. Apparently the young ladies ex left her for being what he called FAT! The woman was a stranger on her way into the store next door and saw the young lady standing outside the bar crying to her friend..😢 The things we do when we think no one's watching- I-am-Ashamed!

I ordered a 12 oz New York strip that came with a baked potato garlic bread and a salad. The the stake came out so tough I could not eat it. I explained to the waitress on how tough it was and how a New York strip should be tender. She took it back and had them make another one. The 2nd one wasn't any better. I did not get my salad at all. So all I ate was a baked potato and the garlic bread. I was charged $6 for that. I felt the manager was very rude also. It's like she thought I was trying to get a free meal or something. When all I wanted was a nice stake.

Everything I've tried off the menu is amazing. But the burgers are where they shine!! The best in Kalamazoo, and really reasonable prices.

Been here a few times, each time outstanding service and wonderful food. A must stop gem in kalamazoo for sure. Loved the steak dinner, Ruben burger, black and blue burger, fish dinner and big salads.

Very pleasantly surprised with our visit on a chilly Saturday morning. We've lived in Comstock for the better part of 12 years and this is the first time we've stopped in to McGonigle's. When friends ask you to go breakfast in the morning after overendulging the night before, you go to breakfast. The atmosphere is what you'd expect from a classic Irish pub. This place is easily overlooked as it is located within a strip mall. Don't let the location deter you from giving them an honest shot. Maybe it was the Bailey's and coffee that I sipped to ease my hangover or maybe it was the relaxed patrons(it was probably also the bloody Mary), but it was a great experience. I'm a sticker for good corned beef, this corned beef hash has classic Irish roots. While at first glance it might not appear as fresh corner beer, I assure you it is and it's worth your time. One of our friends got the breakfast sandwich, it looked like there was an entire ham steak in it. I'll be back to try more lunch and dinner, especially the corned beer sandwich.

We went for breakfast..food was great! Service was great but they had 1 waitress for the whole dining area..she had several large tables...so it was slow but she tried very hard to make everyone happy. Could use a make over, kinda run down place.

I was craving a good burger and beer combo. I really enjoyed the fries and the burger wasn't the worst I got half way thur it and hit an over seasoned and completely burnt spot of the blackened seasoning. The cook of the burger was that of well done which I wasn't asked or I would have ordered it medium to medium rare. The fries were the best of the meal. As I was waiting for my food I found the specials board and I seen the Friday specials would have been something I should have tried instead..overall not the worst not the best. I might be back. The service wasn't bad and the atmosphere was alright

Great service! We had a party of around 30 for my son's hockey team and everything went so smooth. Servers were nice, quick, accurate, and attentive. Food was good; hand battered onion rings and fried Pickles! The owner thanked me personally after our meal for the business.

👍 It’s worth going a bit out of your way for a fantastic donut. I’m not sure what kind of pixie dust they sprinkle on these confections, but they are magical. And the prices are just about right. We got a strawberry fritter for our daughter that was about the size of her head. It will last us all week...
