SCAM! PLEASE DON'T GO BY THE RATINGS AND READ THIS👇 This place is not at all as what is shown in the images. We went here after seeing the ratings and the reviews but the food was very average and the service was beyond pathetic. They took 40 minutes to prepare an omlette. It was at 11 am so it wasn't that we came too early that the place just opened up and the place wasn't even too crowded. It was just us there. The owner of this place is a different character altogether. We were in the middle of having breakfast and he came and switched off all the lights to "save electricity". The place doesn't have a rooftop but is on the ground floor and has no direct sunlight so we were essentially sitting in the dark. Go to Sun N Moon cafe which is just opposite this place, that place is like heaven on earth and even has good discounts on Dineout and Zomato!

We had Rajasthani thali , which was kind of mixed , it had kadhi , churma plus kadahi paneer , dal and mix veg , curd , papad and they served 2 roti and 2 baati and a bowl of rice. Baati could be replaced with roti and vice-versa. Chowmein had a nice saucy flavour that didn’t required any additional sauce. Ambience was warm but it would have been great if some music had been there , since it was Christmas.

Peaceful place. Good service. Exotic location and this place is a full package. It's just 50-100 meters away from Pichola lake and from the jetty (from where you can go on a lake tour and have a refreshing bath in the lake) and within 500 meters from City palace, Udaipur. This place has everything under a roof - rooftop cafe with the view of lake, economic stay, art and craft shops and many more. You can find the stay in websites in the name 'Gangaur Palace'. Architecture and ambiance in the place is outstanding. They have lift facility. The food is perfect (I had mug coffee(It has approx: 4-5 cups of coffee - a must try) and Cinnamon Roll with honey). They have continental, Indian, Rajastani and Chinese business at very reasonable rates. Service and customer relations are satisfactory. Clean place. They have toilet facility. Child friendly.

The restaurant is great, the food is amazing and the service is very fast too. I tried the rajasthani veg thali and it was amazing. You can order extra curries if you need them for free of cost. The place is very closeby to the Gangaur ghat and other main attractions around as well.

We loved everything about this cafe! Very cute interior with a lovely view of the street. Our host Shamtilal was extremely welcoming & the food and drinks were a 10/10! Would highly recommend :)

View is good and prices are affordable and reasonable. Really nice service. But the reason we went into this nice restaurant was that we wanted to eat croussant but they neither had a chocolate nor a normal croussant. I also ordered a chocolate muffin and what I got (you can see it in the photo) was not a chocolate muffin. Even as I asked they told me that this is a chocolate muffin wich it clearly wasn't.

What can I say!!!!!!! Incredible exotic and delicious Thalis and food. Awesome humble and warm staff. Ratan ji was the humblest. An ambience which will make you joyful!! Rooftop is a charm!! View of Pichola Lake and everything beautiful looks from here at night. Thank you so much for keeping so warm people in your Cafe, who look after guests with love and make them feel special. Found only in some places of Udaipur now

Highly recommended. Many other places in Udaipur fall short on basics like cleanliness and absence of an elevator - this place has both. We also enjoyed the food, and appreciated there being egg and non veg options.

I had a very comforting bowl of dal fry and jeera rice that took me back to childhood memories. The staff is hospitable and polite. I love the streetside view where you can eat while looking outside. I look forward to my next visit

Authentic Rajasthani thali and courteous staff made my day with group of friends at the rooftop place. Ambience is really good and very near to Bangore ki Haveli and Lake Pichola.

The food was ok. The egg sandwich was really just a scrambled egg between toast nothing special no sauce no salat but to be fair its an egg sandwich. The tea therefore was really good. But. The noise is incredible. I dont know what the pictures here on google show but the room we were in was directly at the street and there was constant honking. The problem is that the room is triangle shaped which serves as a perfect amplifier for the already loud traffic. It got so bad we had to get our food packed and left cause we just couldnt talk.

Chose this place for dinner we were walking by, just because of the colorful place, yellow walls n teal chairs. Did not regret the choice just for vibes, as food was also amazing. So was the hospitality. Mr Shantilal waited on us and made sure we had a good dinner, and made amazing lemon soda :) Will be trying their thali as well for lunch, soon, as the pics looke promising

We enjoyed very tasty lunch several times at Namaste. Very tasty dishes. Their cakes are addicting. Especially apple pie and chocolate cake. Personal is welcoming and helpful. Dinner was a little less.. but still ok. Njoy the view, great lunch and pleasant music. Don’t forget to finish with coup of espresso and cake.

One of the best places to to have a cup of tea and enjoy great yet humble service. It's a modest place hidden in the crowd of restaurants. They also have impressive Dal Bhatti.

The good - You can get light, and less oily food here if you like. Nice open rooftop views. Lunch and breakfast is on the 3rd floor While dinner is on 4th. Accessible by lift (not common in old Udaipur) The bad - Average food - nothing great Compared to hospitality in the area, quite average behavior Better places are available. I don’t know why this place (list most places in Udaipur) is so highly rated

Decent place for dine-in and quite near to all the stay locations and the Bagore Ki Haveli, Gangour Ghat. Shanti Lal ji who served the food was quite polite and well behaved. Food was a little oily, but overall taste was fine and decently priced as well.

We have a very good time in the cafe. They provide traditional thali in most traditional way. Moreover freshly cooked food has been provided to us by Mr Shanti lal.

  • 5/5 Dinesh P. 1 year ago on Google
Good service especially Shanti Lal ji has give you warm services during entire service. Nice food specially if you are love the rajasthan thali like Dal Bhati and Churma. Try once if coming at Udaipur.

This is hands down my favorite breakfast/Indian brunch place! Great food options, affordable prices and consistent good quality. Not too mention how nice the staff is. Only downside is no wifi, but it is somehow better so that you enjoy the food and some leisurely window shopping from the comfort of your seat :D

  • 1/5 Chetan S. 8 months ago on Google
The amount of food given is less and they don't provide you any refils in thali. If didn't try dal bhati you can try once. Even the portions in dal bhati is also very less. Veg thali is not at all recommended. It's just a waste of money. Cleaning is not done properly. There is no parking available. Feel free to try but I wouldn't recommend it ..... Can find many better places.

I’ve been in Udaipur 7 days, and I have had delicious Indian meals here. My favourite is the thali: a generous variety of Indian flavours. Their menu also has continental options. Prices are reasonable and the rooftop view of the lake makes for a pleasant dining experience. Highly recommended for the food and the friendly staff.

  • 1/5 Tushar S. 3 years ago on Google
Please avoid going to this place as the ambiance is utterly bad and the food is pathetic. They simply do not know how to cook any type of dish mentioned in the menu be it veg or non-veg or even the Dal Bati we ordered was hard as a rock ball. The access is through very narrow lanes and there is no parking space even for 2 wheeler so you may have to park very far off. ♿️ This place has: No=Ramp access. No=A wheelchair-accessible Entrance. No=A wheelchair-accessible Restroom/Toilet. No=A wheelchair-accessible Seating. No=A wheelchair-accessible Parking. No=A wheelchair-accessible Elevator.

very good place to eat, we are here for the second time and can highly recommend it, my favourite was Bindhi Masala !! a nice place with a rooftop with one of the best views. Fair prices, a place where a chai costs 30 INR and is not overpriced.
