My visit to Banyumala Waterfall in January was a revelation of Bali's hidden beauty. Nestled in a tropical oasis, the journey to the waterfall itself is an adventure, leading through lush greenery and vibrant flora. Arriving at Banyumala, I was captivated by the sheer beauty of this cascading wonder. The waterfall's crystal-clear waters and the serene pool at its base create an idyllic setting. The surrounding canyon walls add an extra layer of majesty to the scene. Despite being the rainy season in January, the waterfall was at its full splendor, showcasing the raw power of nature. For those seeking a peaceful retreat into Bali's natural wonders, Banyumala Waterfall is a must-visit, offering a refreshing and enchanting experience.

We visited a couple other waterfalls whilst in the North of Bali and this one stood out as the best. I think it cost us 30k to get in, with a nice walk down to the waterfall surrounded by trees and other vegetation. When we got to the bottom there was a couple of bridges and a nice sign telling you where you were. The waterfall itself is amazing, it's not the biggest, but the little pool of water at the bottom is epic. You can swim / wade all the way up too the waterfall and stand directly underneath it. Was a great, refreshing and relaxing experience. If you are not confident on a scooter I would recommend walking or getting someone to take you as it gets really bumpy and narrow.

Beautiful falls. The hike down is 20 mins and similar time up after the parking (scooter takes you further than car). Entry fee is 30K pp. There are changing rooms for anyone who wants to swim. We swam and it was amazing and refreshing. The floor of Lake has many small pebbles which hurt :( but it is some price to pay for this beauty.

This trek is no joke! Not for the faint of heart. Going down and coming up is a difficult battle. Very touristy. 50000 IDR entrance fee. Too many people. You have to get into the water to get close to the waterfall. Not recommended because of how much it costs, how crowded it gets and how tough the trek is.

Excellent hike to get there and to move around all the falls, however the falls are not the most impressive. You will walk about 15 min to get to the first waterfall, but it is a steep hill, so going back up will be demanding. Most of the road is paved with bricks, but still make sure to wear proper shoes and not your regular flip flops should you want to have a good experience. Personally, I enjoyed the hiking part more than anything else. The price to get in is affordable and the staff is honest and very helpful.

This place is very extraordinary and good for healing from overcrowding, after parking we walk through the hydrangea flower garden, the entrance ticket is only 20k per person, down the stairs to the waterfall and the Banyumala twin waterfalls is very beautiful

The waterfall is very beautiful to see. Lovely photos can be taken here and will always look great. We were able to swim. The water wasn't terribly cold. The path and stairs to the waterfall is far and tiring (on return). They offer a motorbike ride for 25k for half way back. Go early and spend some time exploring. If it's a quick in, take pics and out again... you will miss all it has to offer. The pathway is very secure and their is a shop at the top to buy treats/juice.

Super scenic place. Make sure you go a but further and see all the waterfalls and ponds. The way down and back up is steep, many stairs and some mud (foen can be slippery). There is a single toilet and 2 change rooms next to the main waterfall (free - well after you paid to enter) and you can swim in the pond beneath the waterfall, the water is pleasantly cool. You have to pay for parking and entrance. Not too crowded. Recommended.

It took 15-20 minutes to get to the waterfalls through up and down track, also so many high stairs. Just slow down and take your time, try to control your breath. Not recommend for a family with children and toddler, but if you're ok to carrying them then go ahead. It was a great experience and the waterfalls is amazing, but once is enough for me.

Undoubtedly the best waterfall we have visited in Bali. It's larger and more beautiful than we thought. Fog came down when we came, so it was quite mystical. Water was cold and refreshing, you can enjoy the falling water and swim in the 1.2m deep pool. There were small fish near the rocks. It's only about 1.2km trek from parking, mostly paved, but quite a climb down and back up with stairs cut to earth, so wear good trek shoes and bring a pole, those were super useful.

I love chasing waterfalls ❤ There is nothing more relaxing than chilling at a beautiful waterfall. 🙏🙏🙏 Banyumala Twin Waterfalls are one of the most impressive falls in Bali. Also, it's a bit of a hidden gem. As the place is less Known to the tourism market. The waterfalls are massive and stunning, and going for a swim here is amazing! Trekking to this spot is one of the top things to do in Munduk and it certainly belongs on your Bali itinerary. 😊😇🥰

This was the busiest waterfall we went to on our trip, but even still it wasn’t that busy. This is also the best place to swim!! You can get up close to the waterfall and there’s also a place to get changed after. Entry was 50k each which included a cute bracelet. Initially we thought it was quite a lot but afterwards it was well worth the price. We paid 2k to park our scooter there and then it was a 10 minute walk down.

Truly a magical place! The hike down wasn’t too challenging, but the hike back up might prove difficult for some people who aren’t very active or have trouble with steep inclines. I estimate the distance from the trail entrance to the waterfall is about 1km. Totally worth it once you reach the bottom! The views are unlike anything else! The water is clean and refreshing, perfect for a swim! It is not deep and I was able to stand up even directly under the waterfall. I will never forget this experience! I wish I could visit this waterfall every day!

First part of the walk is on a paved path and not very difficult. The stairs down to the waterfalls is a bit of a challenging but good to do. The way back up is more challenging, but enough places to stop and catch your breath. Wear good walking shoes or sneakers. Decided to take a scooter taxi back to the parking. Good decision! It was definitely worth it! Entry tickets 50.000 rupiah and taxi scooter 25.000 rupiah

One of the best in Bali. You have to drive down hill very narrow road and arrived parking spot. If you are lucky keep riding with scooter to steps as well. First easy walk pad then 30000 rph entry fee and deep steps bit hard but result is worthwhile. Swimming pool great under the waterfall

The most pretty waterfall Ive seen in Bali! Everything is well made, nice nature track down to the waterfall with flowers, water sisseling, birds singing and mini streems of water. Not to far to walk. A lot of space for swimming. Just lovely!!

Probably the most beautiful waterfalls in Bali! The stairs a bit steep and uneven, but totally worth it. Went for a dip, very refreshing. Got there early so it was still quiet when we were there.

Banyumala twin waterfall is one hidden place in the valley. The waterfall is beautiful and not too crowded. Small entrance fee which includes a water bottle. Half an hour trek to the site from the entrance. The later part of the trek is a bit challenging for adults.

Beautiful waterfalls, I recommend to go before 10 am since a lot of tourist start comming and gets really crowded. 50k was the entrance ticket, no need for tourist guide, it is really easy to get there. The road was under some constructions so they didn't allow me to go by bike, although they did allow me to go paying a motorcycle taxi driver, and when I arrived at the place there were people who were on their motorcycles without any problem.

A great place to visit. Beside the twin waterfalls, we can also see such a beautiful scenery, nice place to get fresh air, a bit cold. Not so hard to reach the waterfalls. Entrance fee is very cheap, 20k/person (locals). They also offer taxi bike for 25k.

Hiking in steep trails surrounded by greens all over is amazing. Nice test for your legs strength, but worth a visit. Steep trail with steps is more for physically active ones. No leaches / insects to bother. View of the Twin waterfalls is mesmerizing. The pond below the falls is not deep, so enjoy the clean water with a leisure dip.

stunning view.... Its worth the challenging path to reach the falls. It takes around 8-10 min to reach the ticket counter. There have to purchase ticket and they will provide a water bottle per person. From here the path is challenging, need to watchout steep inclined steps. Takes around 15 minutes. But its worth..

Beautiful waterfalls, can get crowded from afternoon. If looking for quiet time, then visit earlier in the day. Entrance was 30k pp and 2k for scooter parking. Staff was helpful. Beware there is a bit of strenuous hike on the way back. The water itself is clean and cold, but there waterbed has lot of pebbles and hard to step on. Overall, a nice little spot if you don’t mind a bit of crowd.

Arguably the best waterfall in Bali. You just have to drive north toward the starting point for 15-20 mins trekking and to fonally find this natural beauty. The trekking view is beautiful as you could find blue hydrengea flower field amongst the tropical forest. The waterfall is high and the water is clean and clear. Just plunge to the pond and feel the fresh water. Great place for taking pictures and swimming. Worth the visit!

The view of waterfall is mesmerizing. It need more effort and spend much energy to get through there with many steps but worth it. There are alternative option by taxi bike around 25k for a trip but still must pass by steps by walk. The entrance fee for local tourist is 25k including a bottle of water. Not recommended for children

One of the best and safe waterfall to swim in. There are actual two waterfalls and swimming pool at each of the waterfall. It was so nice and peaceful there. Only the sound of falling water on the rocks below. You are surrounded by green forest foliages.

Take your swims, one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Asia. The 10-15 min walk is worth it! As always, go early and beat the crowds (before 930am) you won’t regret it. PS. Don’t bother with the bike taxi, it takes the same amount of time to walk from the car park - we out walked most people on the back of the scooters!

I love it here. There’s something about this place that is so calming and peaceful. You need to hike down for at least for 10-15 mins. If you coming by motorbike, please be careful as the road down to the waterfall quiet steep. Overall it was nice. But not as big as other waterfall in Bali. It’s a small, nice and relaxing waterfall.

This waterfall is absolutely stunning! Gorgeous and fresh clean water! Has two bridges in front of the waterfall too. The walk to the stairs is also beautiful, surrounded by greenery and flowers. Then about a 5 minute walk from the stairs to get there and at least 10 minute walk back. Stairs are steep and a bit challenging. Definitely take your time. 30k entrance fee. Overall I would highly recommend Banyumala!

One of the Best waterfalls and and parks in Bali I can’t express enough how beautiful this place is. Get to it quick before everyone discovers it. The whole experience from the start of the walk all the way to the waterfalls, all four of them, is amazing and one I will never forget. I highly recommend visiting this place if it’s the only waterfall you visit.

My visit to this twin waterfall was nothing short of awe-inspiring. Nestled amidst picturesque surroundings, this enchanting oasis captivated my senses from the moment I arrived. The sight of the twin waterfalls cascading down the rocks was a sight to behold. The sheer beauty and power of the falls left me speechless. The crystal-clear waters created a mesmerizing display as they gracefully plunged into the pool below. It was a symphony of nature that invoked a sense of tranquility and wonder. Exploring the area around the waterfalls was an adventure in itself. Lush greenery, towering trees, and vibrant flora painted a mesmerizing backdrop, amplifying the allure of this natural wonder. There were numerous spots to relax, unwind, and immerse oneself in the serenity of the surroundings. Whether it was finding a cozy spot by the water's edge or venturing into the refreshing pool for a swim, every moment spent there was a blissful escape from the outside world. I highly recommend allocating ample time to fully enjoy this breathtaking destination. A half-day visit allows for ample exploration, relaxation, and the opportunity to soak in the mesmerizing beauty of the twin waterfalls. Be sure to bring a camera to capture the magical moments and create lasting memories. Moreover, the facilities and amenities available at the site were commendable. Clean and well-maintained rest areas, changing facilities, and easy access paths contributed to the overall convenience and comfort of visitors. In conclusion, this twin waterfall is an absolute gem that deserves the highest praise. With its stunning natural beauty, tranquil ambiance, and opportunities for relaxation and swimming, it is a destination that should not be missed. Immerse yourself in the enchanting surroundings, and let the mesmerizing allure of this waterfall transport you to a world of wonder. A half-day stay is the perfect way to fully appreciate the magic that awaits

This one is not very touristy, there was approx 4 persons when we were there at 8:30-9 am). I think the main reason why is guide with a car cannot really reach here as the road is not fully paved. They’re are however working on the paved road right now, so you park before the maintenance. It was mostly easy with a few very big steps, but it is done in 5 min when you come back up. The site around the waterfall is very well maintenance and there is also a second smaller waterfall but as beautiful.

I really love this place, the water crystal clear, the pool not so deep so you can swim without fear of drowning but prepare your self, the water is cold. If you come early, no body there, it's like you have your own private pool with great scenery. The ticket price is quite cheap only IDR 20k / person, I don't know for foreigners. In the waterfall area have a toilet and 2 changing room, no bathroom, If you come by car, you need to park approx. 250m from the entry ticket point and 150m to motorbike parking. If you are too tired to walk to parking lot, there is a motorbike taxi near the entrance ticket for 25k. Please keep this place clean.
