This food little bit different with gudeg jogja, for the first time maybe you will confuse, but for local people this gudeg very famous, and for me this the best gudeg 👍, every time i go back to tegal i always breakfast in this place

My fam's favourite since I was in primary school. Tegalnese version of gudeg, less sweet and more savoury than the Jogja version. You can add toppings: chicken thigh, chicken liver, etc. For big portion eaters, maybe you have to order 2 portions.

I don't really like Javanese cuisine since most cuisine use sugar as taste enhancer though there will be a hint of sweetness. But still, most Indonesian love this kind of food. The taste of Gudeg is also the same. It doesn't really suit my tastebud, it doesn't mean that everyone cannot enjoy it. As for Nasi Gudeg Sari Murni, I love how they manage their level of saltiness. What I live the most from their food is the sambal. Really good, spicy, and fragrant. I assume the fragrant is coming from the terasi (belacan).
