One of the most beautiful strips of nature I've seen, and largely almost untouched. Incredible smell of coniferous woods and ocean in the spring. Perfect for cycling and hiking along the beach, or swimming with next to nobody else for miles.

Worth one visit. Didn't find anything amazing. Towards the northern end, there's a place which was once a German aeroplane pilot training center. It was abandoned by the Germans when the Russians took over the place at the end of world war II. Didn't find any sign of any airfield there now. I understand that the Russians planted tress there. Which have grown in a peculiar curved spiral manner and are called dancing trees, since they are coiled and twisted near the stems. Perhaps it is stunted growth, because the place was an airfield earlier and huge amounts of fuel and oil must have seeped into the earth.

The beach was awesome, specially near the efa heights. Nice place to go amber hunting. The forests around were surreal.

Great park, a must do when travelling around Lithuania. Renting a bike is my number one advice!

Cool place with no infrastructure at all. But the vies are amazing!
