Place
of
Memory
and
Strength!
One
of
the
symbols
of
Victory
and
Memory
of
the
Victorious
Heroes!
A
memorial

The
boat
was
thoroughly
restored
in
2010.
A
torpedo
boat
is
installed
on
a
concrete
pedestal,
under
its
stem
there
is
a
pool,
on
both
sides
of
which
there
are
leading
lights,
spotlights
are
placed
inside
them,
and
on
the
outer
sloping
plane
there
is
a
bronze
wreath
of
oak
leaves.
Next
to
the
flagpoles,
there
is
a
4
m
high
wall
on
which
there
are
bas-reliefs
of
the
faces
of
sailors,
concrete
numbers
“1945”
and
the
words:
“The
Motherland
Remembers”.
The
structure
is
crowned
by
a
concrete
stele
15
m
high.
On
the
wall
there
are
memorial
plaques
with
a
list
of
units
of
the
Baltic
Fleet
that
took
part
in
the
Great
Patriotic
War
of
1941-1945.
The
torpedo
boat
GP
123
"Komsomolets"
was
designed
at
plant
No.
194
named
after
Andre
Marty
in
1939.
In
the
spring
of
1945,
similar
boats
were
actively
operating
in
the
southern
part
of
the
Baltic
Sea,
taking
part
in
covering
the
Red
Army
ground
forces
from
the
sea.
By

of

Kaliningrad
Region
dated

the
memorial
sign
to
the
Baltic
sailors
received
the
status
of
a
cultural
heritage
site
of
local
(municipal)
significance.
In
the
pre-war
years,
on
the
site
of
the
Memorial
Sign
to
Baltic
Sailors,
there
was
the
Löbenicht
Gymnasium.
