travel
lovers!
I
would
like
to
share
with
you
my
impressions
of
my
last
trip
with
the
tour
operator
INTERLEASING,
which
I
purchased
from
their
representative
ABC
of
Tours.
Back
in
February
of
this
year,
preparing
for
the
upcoming
holidays,
I
became
interested
in
the
air
tour
route
proposed
by
INTERLEASING
called
“Neapolitan
Motif”
(Naples,
Pompeii,
Capri,
Rome,
Sorrento,
AMALFI,
POSITano).
(I
rewrote
it
verbatim,
as
published
on
the
tour
operator’s
website).
But
in
fact,
for
me,
like
many
of
my
fellow
travelers
(I
jointly
convey
their
opinion),
this
trip
turned
out
to
be
a
“Neapolitan
Requiem”.
I
simply
did
not
expect
such
a
“Blow
in
the
Throat”,
although
I
have
been
traveling
with
this
operator
for
the
fifth
year.
The
group
received
its
first
disappointment
when,
upon
arrival
in
Italy,
the
group
accompanying
them
handed
out
a
printed
program
of
upcoming
excursions
on
the
bus,
in
which
the
previously
announced
cities
of
AMALFI
and
POSITAN
were
no
longer
included.
These
cities
are
called
“the
pearls
of
southern
Italy”;
in
fact,
they
played
a
decisive
role
in
choosing
this
tour.
We
received
our
second
disappointment
when,
preparing
to
visit
Pompeii,
we
were
suddenly
told
that
we
would
not
be
taken
to
the
foot
of
the
Visuvia
volcano,
although
it
was
stated
in
the
excursion
package
that
we
would
have
to
pay
an
additional
60
euros
for
this
trip.
The
third
disappointment
we
received
was
when,
when
visiting
Sorrento
for
an
additional
payment
of
25
euros,
we
were
told
that
visiting
the
cities
of
AMALFI
and
POSITano
was
not
included
in
the
program
due
to
LACK
OF
TIME
FOR
THESE
TRIPS!
They
offered
those
who
wanted
to
take
a
boat
ride
along
the
AMALFI
coast
on
their
own
for
30
euros
per
person.
And
in
the
February
program
they
included
visits
to
all
three
coasts
for
an
additional
fee
of
35
euros.
I
quote
the
original
program
verbatim:
“Next
we
will
go
to
the
Amalfi
Coast.
We
will
stop
at
the
panoramic
platform
to
admire
the
views
of
the
sea.
Let's
visit
the
coastal
town
of
POSITANO......
Continuing
the
excursion
we
will
go
to
the
town
of
AMALFI.
Let's
visit
one
of
the
main
attractions
-
the
Cathedral
of
St.
Andrew
the
Primordial
(additional
entrance
fee
-
3
euros)…...”
They
were
simply
deceived.
And
there’s
nothing
to
say
about
breakfasts
and
dinners
at
the
hotel.
On
the
day
of
the
group’s
arrival,
60
euros
per
person
were
collected
from
those
wishing
to
dine
at
the
hotel.
That
same
evening
people
had
dinner.
The
food
was
so
disgustingly
prepared
that
one
of
the
men
in
the
group
was
ready
to
throw
a
plate
of
over-salted
salad
in
the
waiter’s
face.
They
barely
got
over
the
scandal.
This
was
the
beginning
of
the
tour.
The
excursions
were
conducted
by
a
hired
guide,
an
elderly
woman,
Lyudmila,
living
in
Italy.
Lyudmila
has
been
living
in
Italy
for
a
long
time
and
is
clearly
forgetting
the
Russian
language,
because
she
stumbled
while
choosing
the
right
words.
The
excursions
took
place
mainly
in
the
afternoon,
Lyudmila
took
us
to
some
place
in
the
city,
hid
in
the
shade,
and
in
a
boring
monotone
voice,
like
a
teacher
in
front
of
the
class,
told
us
something,
mainly
focusing
on
some
dates
and
numbers.
Sometimes
we
stood
like
that
for
a
very
long
time
that
people
began
to
be
indignant
that
we
were
wasting
time
standing
in
one
place
and
not
seeing
anything
interesting
that
surrounded
us.
Here's
some
food
for
thought,
friends.
If
you
decide
to
go
on
this
trip,
be
aware
of
what
you
can
expect.
And
now
I’m
VERY
THINKING
before
booking
a
vacation
tour
from
this
tour
operator.
Such
disappointment
will
take
a
long
time
to
“chew.”
