A historical site of the Mataram Sultanate in Tegal. Here is buried the fourth king of Mataram, Susuhunan Prabu Amangkurat I Agung, son of Sultan Agung Anyakrakusuma, who died while fleeing to Batavia after the capital of Mataram in Plered fell into the hands of Trunajaya. The place is well maintained (still maintained by the Surakarta Palace) and clean.

There are bathrooms, ample parking, a large burial yard. If you want to enter, you must be accompanied by a caretaker.

It really feels like you have stepped into the 1900s. The place is well maintained, but there are some parts that are not well maintained, for example the dusty grave of R.A Kardinah's mother. In general, clean and tidy. But it's really unfortunate that there are so many adult and child beggars, it's really unfortunate that child beggars have been used to begging from an early age. I guess that was very unexpected for the ancestors buried here.

Apart from being able to strengthen our spirituality as both Muslims and Javanese, we can also learn about the history of the Mataram kingdom
