Worst property and such dirty location. I just checked in and checkout in 10 mins. No safety for girls. No separate washroom and dirty washroom. Dirty blanket. AC not working. Sells deluxe room for 1300 but room quality is like 500. My 3000 rupees Also went waste but happy that I took decision immediately to checkout. I will take this on twitter also and get this property closed. This location is not safe for tourists.

Staying at GoStops Alleppey was one of the worst ever experiences of life. There were random power cuts and the place was without any power back up. The rooms were horribly unclean and there weren’t any doors separating the rooms from the toilets. Moreover, the rooms were not equipped with any basic amenities like a table or a cupboard or even a ventilation. The price one pays for the private rooms in this place is absolutely outrageous as far as the value for money is concerned. I highly recommend NOT to book this place to have an enjoyable stay at an otherwise wonderful place like Alleppey.

Stayed at goSTOPS Alleppey in July 2023, which is apparently an off season there, so hardly any hostlers around yet my stay was amazing, they help you with almost everything. It's a bit away from the beach, but that was fine for me. It used to be a school prolly in the nineties and now it's renovated into a hostel. I love places with small histories like that. Loved it!

Worst experience ever .Private rooms are like jail with no doors for washroom. They don’t even have power backup. Even the wifi usage is limited. The price is way more expensive compared to the facilities. The main attraction of the place like board games and socialising is almost non existent. The foosball table is also broken. Never book this place. Even staying on the street is a more value for return.

This is an amazing go stops property with spacious and clean dormitories , beautiful common areas with a wide range of games and sitting spaces . Host was helpful . Kitchen served good food . Location was quite far from the beach but besides the canal and offered a good view . The rickshaw stand was right next to go stops so easy accessibility.

I stayed at Gostop Alleppey hostel for a few days while exploring the Kerala coastline. It was an amazing experience, great company, excellent staff (Akshay and Samagra) and a warm atmosphere.

Everything was good, the staff, room, amenities, location, but I guess gostops has forgot the basic idea behind hostel chains. We should get to meet fellow travellers and enjoy the city together. Since they have separated the male and female dorms with zero activities in the common room, the place was completely empty while other hostels were running booked. When we checked in, I met a girl who slept all alone in the entire hostel, there was no other traveller at all. Please consider these points, else everything else is fine.

I was worried after seeing lot of reviews on room cleanliness, water supply problem, AC problem and staff behavior. However we didn't face any such issues w.r.t. room. Staff failed to co-ordinate the room availability properly apart from that they were helpful. Property is very near to few cafes, light house beach and railway station.

The common washroom was extremely dirty! Otherwise a very nice hostel located a few mins away from the beach.

goSTOPS Alleppey is a hostel located 500m from Alappuzha beach and 2 kms away from the main town. Even though the photos are a bit deceptive in comparison to the current visuals of the property, it is a nice stay when you are travelling on your own and would want to make a few friends on the way. I stayed at their all female dorm sharing the room with 7 other people. Washroom was attached and clean. There are common spots where you can chill, hangout, play games etc. The prime advantage is the location and also the fact that you get to meet new people who are also on their solo journey.

Average for the price. I stayed in the 8 beds female dorm. They said there’s in in-house cafe but our roommates said the place was unhygienic so they didn’t recommend it. So we had to take rickshaws to go out everytime we had to eat. this hostel is 15 mins walk away from the Alleppey beach and the restaurants at the beach are disappointing and still expensive. The food really sucked. The beds in the dorm could use some cleaning, there were spiderwebs and lots pf mosquitoes. Washroom was also average, not good enough. I’d choose a private room at some another place instead next time.

1. The location is not on beach rather stands next to a canal , but the beach is nearby . I was satisfied with the location . 2. The manager is very sweet and helpful . 3. The rooms were very spacious, loved the vibe , a balcony in the dormitory opened to view the canal . 4 . In house kitchen was open , served great food . Closes at 10:00 pm 5. Taking into consideration, rest of the backpacker hostels in alleppey , this was the best . We loved the stay . Amazing property 6. Highlight of the stay is it's amazing common rooms , plenty of games to help you connect and interact with fellow hostelmates. The rooms were amazing , clean toilet . The balcony was dirty .

Very nice place. Early check in late checkout policy is very good. Common area has board games. dorms are clean. Staff is very friendly. All basic amenities are available.

While my experience at the hostel had some drawbacks, there is room for improvement. The cleaning service needs attention as the bathrooms were dirty, and the rooms had an unpleasant odor. Additionally, the hostel lacked the vibrant hostel culture I was hoping for, as it lacked a lively atmosphere and sense of community.

It's the best place to stay if you're not going to be in the hostel all the time. The Internet is a bit slow, so don't think about working here. It's very close to the beach. We were staying for one night only so couldn't interact with people a lot. Edit: We accidentally left one bag behind in this hostel, which we realised after coming back home. I sent a query to their official email and they responded quickly. Anoop, who was in the ground team, contacted us and found the misplaced bag. I scheduled the pick up from shiprocket immediately and Anoop coordinated with me to send the bag back. I received the bag today. I'm very grateful to GoStops team and Anoop.

Brilliant little place. We were a group of 6 and wanted a place to rest before our trip home. goSTOPS was a pleasant surprise. Decent airconditioned rooms and a clean bathroom - not to forget, board games, foosball and some backyard cricket! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We booked this stay while we were travelling through Kerala. For my entire trip this was the worst hostel stay. There's no neatness in the rooms, dirty bathrooms, no safety. I think there's a lot of room for improvement to make this stay beautiful and worth the money we are paying.

Good location, good host. This place has a lot of indoor games and place outside to keep yourself occupied. I would recommend a small tuk shop or a fridge with beverages inside the place to help guests!

I can't thank gostops allepey enough. They did such a great job of taking care of me while on the stay. Actually, I was on solo trip around kerala but from my second day on allepey, my health didn't not support me at all. They took entire care of me. I never felt like I was away from home. From medication, to doctors visit, to emotional support they were by my side. I can now say, I have a small family to go back to, in allepey. Will surely visit again with my best health.

It's quite underrated in spite of having better services than other popular ones. The rooms in Alleppey was too spacious and clean. There is a kitchen available for cooking as well. The staff is very friendly and makes sure guests are comfortable. I recommend this to all backpackers!

Quaint little villa with a nice dormitory and an optional private room. No food options available, but you can cook your own in the kitchen. Also, the guys guys who run the place are quite helpful! I don't click a lot of pictures, there's only the 2 I'm uploading, but it's a neat place to stay in. Feedback: Could have slightly better bedsheets.

Best option for budget stay in Alleppey.. Hostel is clean and well maintained. Hosts are very friendly and cooperative.

This was my Hostel experience and what an experience to be honest! Enjoyed to the peak! I got to socialize, make new friends daily, get to learn new stories. The host Akshay and Anoop took care of me very well like brothers. Made me feel so comfortable, Even when the other guests left, they made sure I don't feel left-out. Akshay always asked me if I had my food. I will miss those days, probably the best days from my Kerala trip. Will come here someday soon again.

We had booked gostops because of the reviews we read, however were really disappointed with our stay. The staff was friendly but wasn’t available at the reception during mornings. Rooms were not that clean and washrooms were in a bad shape. There was no food available in the hostel. Also, the worst part was there was no water supply in the washroom on the morning of our checkout, and ofc no one at the reception to help with it.

It was near the beach and canal, and the rooms were spacious, but there are no facilities. The common room also does not have ac, they switch off the ac in rooms day time, it's really difficult to work during the day without AC. They do not clean the rooms or washrooms properly. I would suggest they have a better system to clean the area.

The hostel is located in close proximity to the beach and the Alleppey lighthouse. There's a canal at a stone throw away distance. The staff is courteous and very helpful. The lush greenery around is sure a threat to sore city eyes. The outdoor area and indoor common room are good! Definately recommending it for a solo traveller specially if you're backpacking.

Not an ideal hostel to stay at with really dirty washrooms. There's a lack in the vibe of this place. Not at all maintained nice. The volunteering is extremely poor. Should have volunteers who are really ready to upgrade the place for a better experience.

The location of this hostel is excellent (walkable to the beach / lighthouse). The staff is very polite. The kitchen is well-equipped. The tea/coffee provided in-house is yummy. And, the common area downstairs is cute (there are board games, swings, paints, etc.). Zomato / Swiggy delivers to the area, as well. The rooms are spacious, but could be a bit more well-lit. And, it would have been nice if the staff had more information about activities in the area, or if they could connect fellow travellers with each other for paid outings (usually hostels try to push out certain activities to travellers staying, which can be helpful). Overall, I definitely recommend GoStops Alleppey to solo travellers on a budget for the price, location and safety.

The best hostel I've been to! Had a cosy and warm stay here. The staff are super nice and helpful. Akshay and Ashwin are doing a wonderful job there. The washrooms are well maintained as well .Will definitely be visiting again. Totally recommend this place to other travellers !

Had an amazing stay at GoStops Allepey. The property is cute and well maintained and just a few mins away from the beach. Host was friendly and helped us with travel plans. The dorm was huge, clean and spacious. Not to mention, the crowd was awesome ❤️

The staff did not care about the guests one bit - just kept asking if the payment was done. The rooms were big but you could see layers of dust around the upper bunks. The property wasn't well maintained at all.. such a nice spot and open area but there were shrubs and dust everywhere.

THE best hostel stay I've ever had. The dorms are clean, well maintained and spacious. The location of the property is such that most of the tourist attractions are well within reach. They have a nice indoor common room and an open outdoor area where you can easily work, play games or socialize with other backpackers. The Kitchen is great, well equipped. You can easily get some of the basics like Tea/Coffee/Scrambled Eggs/Paratha/Maggi and for other specifics the hostel staff will guide you to good places. The hostel staff Samagra, Akshay, Harsh are some of the nicest and super friendly ppl I've ever met. These guys are doing a great job at making this place a perfect stop for backpackers. PS: If you choose to have Aloo paratha at the cafe, ask Samagra to make them and not Akshay :)

Had taken a Private room. Quite non-professional staff. There was no food, water supply was cut in the morning and we couldn't use the washroom for full 2 hours, nobody at reception, support call didn't help. the hostel is in a 100yr building but it has never been renovated it seems so is quite bad in terms of hygiene, cleanliness, etc Quite unprofessional and laid-back hostel
