Looks beautiful! Fish smell just hits your senses. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Kerala paratha, egg roast, non-veg meals and the fish were good. Thumbs up from the three of us who ate our lunch there.

We went here for lunch.. Ambiance is really good. Very neat and clean. We ordered non vegetarian thali and chicken biriyani. We got the order very fast. The biriyani was good.. The non veg thali was exceptional with wide variety and was very tasty..the payasam in the thali was so good that we asked refills 2 to 3 times. The staff was more than happy to serve us..the restrooms are clean and well maintained.

We arrived at 10.15 no one acknowledged us. Eventually we spoke to the person making toast and were told only a buffet breakfast was available, nothing from the breakfast menu. There was very little left so they agreed to make some fresh toast, pooris and dosa for us. The toast was soggy and barely toasted. The pooris were fine but the bhaji was tasteless. The dosa was edible but cold and covered in black specks which looked like something had burned on the tawa and they hadn't cleaned it off properly. The sambhar was tasty but cold. On the whole the place is badly managed and staff are not attentive. Tables had not been cleared even though when we arrived there were very few customers. The toilets were clean but one was broken. No toilet paper and soap dispensers were empty. Toilet doors were not clean. This used to be a good restaurant but standards over the last couple of years have declined drastically. I would suggest this place is avoided until their standards improve. .

The restaurant's ambience cannot make up for what it lacks in taste, value for money and service. Pros: 1) Close to Kalpetta's new bus stand. Cons: 1) Taste - undercooked and probably spoilt chicken. None of us were able to finish the dish. 2) Value for money - compared to restaurants in metropolitan cities, the dishes are not too pricey. But when compared to similar restaurants in Wayanad, with actually good food, Bungalow restaurant's value for money is terrible. 3) Service - disrespectful and rude staff. We ordered a fish item that was on the menu, but were served and billed for a different costlier item. When we asked why they hadn't informed us, the waiter just shrugged and walked away. From our short visit to the restaurant, other customers also seemed to be facing similar problems with service.

The place is really well designed for having food and meeting with people. But the menu card is just for name. Most of the item are not available. We must ask what is available and then order. However, the dishes are not cooked/prepared as per the dish name. They all taste different than expected. Well for space and staff 3 star is recommended. They do have basement parking for guests. We only used the restaurant not the stay.

I give a full 5* for the ambience and layout of the Restaurant. Vast choice of food to select from. Washrooms were extra clean and away from dining area. Ample seating arrangements, cradle for babies, decent quality crockery and cutlery, well mannered staff etc. are a few points that I found worth mentioning. Parking facility is available. Located in the heart of Kalpetta town on the Highway this place would be an ideal choice for travellers. Rates are not on a very high side but it's not cheap either. I felt that the portion size could have been a little more for the price a customer pays. Strictly speaking personal, I found the taste to be average to satisfactory and yes maybe it's because of the food I chose or the time I ordered the dish

Excellent tasty food, particularly the Chinese vegetarian starters and soups. Service terribly slow and reluctant. Factor in at least one and a half hours for a lunch.

At the main marketplace of Kalpetta, Wayanad in Kerala. Attached to a hotel. Very nice decoration in white. We went around 5 pm when obviously lunch service was over, yet they took the trouble of preparing food for us. The Chinese food items were light and of high standards. The behavior of both the manager and service person was nice.

This was the only place with decent food in Wayanad. To be honest, food in Wayanad isn't really good. But this place served some decent food. I wouldn't recommend everyone to try non-vegetarian food here. I tried chicken, fish, prawn and crab dish and everything was bad. They some cheap fish for starters and the chicken was also bad. On the other hand, vegetarian food was good, the gravys and rice items were really nice. Schezwan rice wasn't that great but peas palav was good. One bad experience was, the waiters here are extremely lazy and arrogant. They don't treat you well if you don't order the dish recommended by them and had forgotten few of the dishes we ordered. We had to keep asking for our order and they didn't bother to respond.

Worst service. They didn’t even take the order. When we called the staff to take the order he denied since it would take 1 hour to deliver. They won’t mention that the restaurant is closed for orders but they will allow the guest and then make them sit but neither won’t take orders nor delivers the food. They will indirectly tell you find other place for food. please don’t fall for their ambience.

Went for trying out the youtubers favourite apam and chicken stew but since i went during noon it was not available ended with beef briyani but it was not cooked properly very rubbery not recommended my experience with restaurant was bad

Food delivery pathetic. 15 min no one turned up for order. Half table provided water glass, rest not. Looks like more manager than captain. If you are hungry and you need quick food avoid this hotel. Next to this hotel udupi restaurants you can try. I will say service is fast and good food.

It's a very nice place. We had lunch there, and also packed our dinner. Everything was mouth watering. Super quick service at very affordable price. Staff are humble and manager is super nice. As we were tourist, he helped us in every possible way. A must visit restaurant in Wayanad, Kerala.

Ordered Pomfret, Beef Ularth and Chicken Kondattam, finished off with milkshakes with icecream. Will love the ambience and the service, with the variety offered in the menu. Some items are not available, but the ordered items didn't disappoint either. 1 star dropped, because we can find that, there can be an improvement in taste and flavour plus beef ularth was not upto mark. Opening salad and parking is another plus you can get here in busy town of Kalpetta

Kerala Poratta was Good, but beef on the beef roast was very hard. Other items we tried were good, Chicken 65 and beef dry fry. Nice ambience.

The lemon soda was warm, and the chicken had too much bone. The parotas were great. The curries had lot of flavour

If I could give 0 stars, I would. First no one comes to take the order. Then he takes it and another one comes and says half the items you ordered are not available. Then they take more than half an hour to bring starters, even more to bring buttermilk 🤦‍♀... When asked, they bark rudely saying we do first come first serve, your food would take 40 mins or more... And all this while there are only 2 tables which are occupied. The quantity of food is laughable and though it was tasty... It wasn't worth the hour long wait we had to suffer 🙄 NEVER AGAIN

Visited here on a saturday weekend. There was a lot of delay in service and even taking orders.Food was good and delicious but they had normal food menu. We have visited for tasting different cuisine kind of continental. But none of the types were available.

The food was served hot but felt like food was reheated and served. The staff was not available for assistance and had to keep waiting for someone to be seen and provide ordered items. Both the Noodles and biryani didn't taste good.

One of the worst dining experience i had here during my trip. Hotel staff are not trained and they don't care about the customers. We stayed nearby so wanted to have a try. From getting food delayed to the service everything was pathetic. After ordering food even to put plates and glass we had to follow up. Food taste was average and prices were comparatively high.

If you compare the ambince with the food then it is pathetic. We ordered sandwich, fried vegetables and coffee there. They took almost 1.5 hr to serve the same. The taste for everything was bad. Way too oily fried vegetables and no proper taste in coffee. Worst of all the sandwich had moulds on it.. 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢 So eat at your own risk. DONT BE FOOLED BY THE AMBINCE.

Had loads of sea food dishes here which were prepared in many different styles typical to Kerala and absolutely loved it. The preparation was quite fresh and the flavours delightful. Just erred by ordering a manchow soup here, which was really really bad.

Very bad food. Staff is ignorant. Service is bad. Did not like anything about this place.

Had Meals with my family. It was very nice and even the presentation was amazing. But at the same time,I had a prophet fry, which I think was not that fresh.

Absolutely pathetic place for Vegetarian indian food. I had ordered veg manchpw soup which was tasting like chicken broth. My husband is a jain, we had to throw away the soup as it tasted strange with a lingering iron like taste to it. We had ordered kolhapuri vegetable, which had coconut gravy , a thing which doesn't go so well in a Punjabi curry. The chapattis were good though . Overall a definite no for vegetarians!

Some family members of our travel group were longing for good North Indian food during our Waynad soujourn. Drove all the way to Kalpetta from Lakkidi after checking out reviews on Google. The Google reviews were spot on. Need North Indian food, head straight to The Bungalow restaurant eyes closed. Not to mention other items in the menu are great too. I enjoyed fish biryani that had the local spin to it. Great place, good food and staff is wonderful too.

You might think of a thali as a platter with an assortment of dishes. But not in this restaurant! There's no Puri and no chapati in the thali. Only rice. Don't be surprised if breakfast is served half an hour after the mentioned time. And watch out for the indifferent servers.

Great ambience and polite staff. Food however was extremely bad, overpriced and WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. The fried rice, chilly chicken and Tandoori chicken was not tasty. For the price would definitely expect more in terms of quality.

We were looking for a restaurant in Wayanad for Veg food and stuck upon this place. Had their veg Biryani, Noodles and paneer tikka. Everything to our surprise was done amazingly. Totally loved the food. Not giving 5 star as their lemonade was a complete disaster.

Only ambience is good . They have not worked on making good food as well

Non veg: Fish was the best,, egg masala was also good and ambience is good, veg : ok mention not to put chilly in raita and buttermilk
