One of THE best stay that I ever had in my life. Luckily we got a brand new room which was excellent. River stream was the bonus. Overall I would sincerely recommend this for a peaceful stay. Thanks to Shaji and Shajin for their true hospitality. If you want to have a peaceful stay without any sight seeing plans this is the right place. It still has good connect to other main areas. however my preference was to stay there and enjoy nature. We were also advised to go to right shopping places. The place suggested by Shaji had cotton apparels and mattress that we're surprisingly cheaper than metros. Only con that I felt is dinner was slightly expensive. But since it is limited to guests, they are conscious about not wasting the food. So I felt it is still fine. Overall this is naturally in my recommendation list. We enjoyed some real facts about elephants and other wild animals and the way narrated by them. People looking at this can confirm your plan without a second thought. Happy vacation.

We stayed in a service villa called Tender leaf, located in Wayanad. They have a couple more cottages in the property with enough privacy between each cottages. The place is located 4 Kms from Meenmutty waterfalls and has a very serene and fresh environment. The property is new and there is ample amount of space in the rooms. Rooms are very clean and comes with kitchenette . The staff and the host is very caring and cooperative. You get breakfast as part of the plan and the dinner comes with a fixed menu. The food was worth the money. There are some further improvements happening and I am sure this will make it a much sought after property in the future.

We loved our stay at Tender Leaf , Room & stay were neat & nice & clean.Beautiful surrounding view. Food served is tasty & Cherry on cake is Mr.Shaji's hospitality which makes the stay very good experience. I & my wife really enjoyed the stay & will definitely come back to stay here again.

We stayed at this place for couple of days in July'17. This place is about 25 kms from Sultan Bathery and is located couple of kms near Meenmutty water falls. There are 2 Executive rooms and about 7 cottages in this property. The Executive rooms are in the main building while the cottages are few meters away. This place is best suited for a quite weekend getaway. Here are the pros and cons for selecting this property: Pros: 1) Full points to the hosts - Sajin and Diya. They made us feel at home and took notice of our preferences from all the small conversations. 2) Peaceful location and very close to the forest boundary gives you the experience of staying close to nature. The adjoining stream is an added advantage if you aren't travelling in the monsoon season. The flow of the stream gets stronger and muddy during the monsoons. 3) Home cooked food - breakfast was complementary and dinner was buffet. The cook prepared simple yet very tasty dishes. If you are travelling with a small kid then this is the place where you can feed your little one without giving a second thought on hygiene as everything that we had was cooked afresh. We tried only the vegetarian dishes though. Cons: 1) Not much of activities within the property. 2) Lunch is not served, so plan to step out for lunch. 3) If you are choosy about food, then avoid the Dinner Buffet. The choice is limited to Soup, 1 starter, 1 curry, Dal, Rice, Chapati and a desert priced for 400/- a meal per person.There is a decent restaurant - Nest & Mist close to this property. 4) No Intercom facility in the Executive rooms - we really didn't feel the need as we were staying in the main building. 5) Lastly, if visiting this property, plan to get your own transportation. The option of Public transport would be time consuming as the tourist points are in the range of 20-60 kms from this property.

I spent my annual university friends retreat at Tender Leaf. The host shajiand his wife Maya were absolutely brilliant . Very friendly and provided us a lot of advice on local attractions . They provided us with the campfire and BBQ on short notice. The food was excellent. The cook Shince and helper Edward were excellent with the food and service.

Homely place quite away from the touristy commercial places, which gives really a relaxed holiday experience. Home cooked food for dinner and with complimentary breakfast. Not a vast spread, but a simple home style healthy food. With a consciousness of not wasting food, you need to ASK if you need something. And it was served with smile. A family run place which is a 2 year old property. Quite spacious cottages. Ask for cottages overlooking the tea garden if you want to have a view from your cottage. A small river stream adjacent makes it even more interesting in the evenings/early mornings. Hopefully they will add bit more facilities near the stream to be able to take a dip/play during warm periods. Friendly owners trying to accommodate all your requests which are feasible by them. A nice place to have a relaxed vacation. Cons: All the sightseeings if you are interested are bit far. Not much of activities in the resort as of today. No Internet/Mobile connectivity if you like to have one during your vacation. Cleaning only when you are available at the room - citing security reasons.
