Visited during a holiday. Tea factory ry was closed for maintenance. Only the museum was open. Could see some things, but wasn't worth it. Visited the cafe, which had a long list of teas. Was told they ran out of milk at 5pm. Big let down!

Wayanad Tea Museum, located in Wayanad, Kerala, India, is a must-visit destination for tea lovers and those interested in the history and production of tea. The museum is housed in a colonial-style bungalow and features exhibits on the history of tea cultivation in Wayanad and the surrounding region. But perhaps the most notable feature of the Wayanad Tea Museum is its beautiful tea cafeteria. Located on the grounds of the museum, the cafeteria serves a wide variety of teas from the region, as well as light snacks. The cafeteria is a peaceful and relaxing place to sit and enjoy a cup of tea, with comfortable seating, beautiful views of the surrounding gardens, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Love the place, the restaurant on the top floor is my favourite. I make it a point to visit this spot if we are near by just to have some tea. In the middle of the tea plantation, the view from the restaurant is wonderful. The museum gives us an insight of the origin of tea and of the time when the tea factory was active.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Wayanad Tea Museum, and it was an enriching experience that offered a deep insight into the world of tea production. The museum is well-organized, with informative exhibits that take visitors on a journey through the history and process of tea cultivation and production. The displays include vintage tea-making equipment, photographs, and detailed explanations that make the learning experience engaging and enjoyable. Surrounding the museum are lush tea plantations, providing a picturesque backdrop. It's a great opportunity for visitors to see firsthand the tea bushes and learn about the different types of tea grown in the region. The museum is situated in a serene and scenic location, offering panoramic views of the surrounding hills and tea plantations. It's a tranquil setting that adds to the overall charm of the visit. The Wayanad Tea Museum provides an excellent opportunity to learn about the art and science of tea-making in a beautiful natural setting. Wayanad tea museum is an old tea factory converted into a museum. This was an ok experience with lots of informative bits w.r.t wayanad and tea in general. The entry fee is 20 rs and you can buy different sorts of tea from there. However when we visited we could not do the tea tasting as they did not allow it but at the same time they permitted tea tasting for some V.I.P person. Tea is reasonably priced and we enjoyed the Chocolate tea which we bought. The spices are costly there and you can buy for much cheaper outside.

It was labour day and many places of interest were closed but this awesome museum was open. The museum is a museum in true sense. We get to learn about the history of tea in India, it's types and see many machines that were used earlier. There is a cafe and shop on the top floor. Try their mint lemon tea. It was heavenly and costs 60 rupees. Try their teas. The shop has packaged green tea, cardamom tea, curry leaf cookies etc. It's a nice place to visit and do reasonable shopping. It was not at all crowded which was a big relief. Senior citizens will find it difficult to go up as because of the stairs.

It is an experience and a tourist place with all sorts of history and also mentioning the tribals of wayanand, it is good… it has an entry fees of Rs. 40/- per adult which is nominal, at the end it has a cafe not tea tasting basically so we can try the tea and coffee after purchasing, there is a store available from where you can buy the local tea, coffee, essential oils and natural perfumes. The cafe has scenic view fir the photography. Overall, good place to visit.

Good place to learn about all the details about tea cultivation and how it started in Wayanad. Brief history about Wayanad and the people who ruled and how tea went down from Britishers to India. You have a cafe upstairs to chill for a bit. There are some machineries which are used for tea cultivation.

It’s an old building converted to a Tea Museum. There is no guide to show u around. It’s all do it yourself tour. They also don’t have any ticketing system but they do charge ₹50 per person. On the ground floor you will find all the information on how tea first came to India, along with some old machines that were used in Tea plantation. On 2nd floor, there are stuff from 70-80s like radio’s, floppy disk, VCRs, clocks etc. On the 3rd floor they have tea tasting area. Where they are supposed to serve you tea, but there was no one as all the staff (3 people) were having lunch together. They sure will charge you money but will disappear when you will need them. All and all it’s a complete waste of time. They don’t even have their own tea gardens. However, you can just walk into nearby tea gardens to take pictures for your travel diary. Like we did 😉. Would not recommend this place at all… it’s would be better to go for a proper tea tour which are nearby this place.

Best place to see old equipments , computers , machineries , tools , tea production line elements , history , old british time stoves etc , there's a small cafe offers different types of tea and selling tea related collectibles and powders. Entire building is of a antique historical structure with french windows and good ambience . Well maintained and it's worth a shot to experience and see things once ..

But you can try the tea in the cafe and buy from there. Different flavours of tea and coffee are available. The entry fee is 50 per person

Situated next to Achoor Tea Plantation, this is a 3 storied building🏚 houses the early history of tea☕ & its processing details. Ground floor displays the history of introduction of tea in India & Wayanad. First floor has all the tools🧰 related to its processing. Second floor houses a cafe and tea tasting counter. Got some tea🍵 from here at a very good price. Also their chocolate tea was very delicious👌.
