A true nature lover cannot help but seek refuge in the misty mountains, beautiful brooks or the lush greenery, just to unwind his/her mind and relax on the lap of Mother Nature. Vanaparvam, the Biodiversity Park at Kozhikode is one such destination that lures visitors and nature lovers with its enchanting grace. The name ‘Vanaparvam’ could be roughly translated to ‘the chapter about the woods’. The epics are usually narrated as parvas or small chapters. Vanaparavam is, hence, an area in the middle of the pristine forest where you could experience the surreal beauty of nature in its purest form..

It's a really good spot to visit. Try to visit at November or December so there will be a few water so we can play in the water. If you go here then you can also visit kakkad ECCO tourism. That spot is near to this place only 15 minutes from that area. Well if you are thinking of visiting this placeses come with vehicle bike or car, or else it will be really hard to go over there because there is no bus service I think i didn't see any. Both of this placeses has natural beauty. The entry ticket is 30per head and you have to show everyones I'd to get in.

It's not a big attraction, but it's ok if you visit for just an outing. No big deal yet not bad. Kind of Waterfall. Different plants. Must be better when visiting at month of June. Ticket is of Rs-30/adult 15/children. No other expenses for camera. Any type of Identity Card is must for entry. Different types of butterflies are findable there. The pathways are of stones so be aware and it takes to the waterfall.

A very nice place to be in touch with the nature as it includes forests,waterfalls and many creatures that can take you to enjoy the beauty of an eco system. This place has an area wherein you can find so many butterflies ans many people come to photograph them. Also there so many types of birds too in this park and some of the endemic birds like Malabar Trogon can be seen here.

You will get the chance to see many medicinal plants. And gives you a good walk through the forest. Beware of leech. The ticket rate for adults its 30rs. You have to carry the cash. No card and online transfer facilities not available

It's a walk through Junle... Has a river to take bath.. Still it's worthy to visit once in life time.. Those who lives in cities will like it the most.. U can see so many butterflies and medicinal plants.. most of them are rare.. Many informative boards are there. Ticket fare Adult Rs.30 Child RS 15.

Peaceful place for spending time in nature.

Very nice place, soothing views, Ideal for those who like to walk through the jungle, A waterfall flowing through the rocks, This is a less dangerous area, so be careful.

A nice location for evenings and early morning. Have a hundreds of variety tree's. It's not that much popular among the people, even it's on the way to Wayanad, as it need a diversion of 3-4 KM from the main road. The photos which is posted by me is belongs to vanaparavam itself, but maybe you cannot see it. As it is a restricted area, we got proper permission from authorities for Bird Survey conducted by Kerala Forest Department.

Very nice place and we can walk through the jungle. Also enjoyed the river inside the jungle and the waterfall. It is well maintained by the forest department.

Forest base of the hill with well define hike path to reach small watefall formed by the stream, visited during rains it was beautifully green... not sure about hot days, beware of leaches during rains

Nice atmosphere and ambience of forest with small waterfalls and lakes. There is also many medicinal plants and ornamental plants and trees with their naming board and also a small garden like nursery structure is there. different kinds of birds and sometimes monkeys can be seen.The area is much good to spend some valuable time with families and kids who loves nature and it's vibes. There is several swings available here for adults and kids.And there is an entry fee of Rs.30 for adults and also extra parking fee too. Overall a good place to spend some valuable time in calm and quiet naturey place.
