The place was very spacious, good enough to accommodate four people. It was neat but the problem was with the plug points, none of them were working properly. Better bring your power banks to charge the phones. The complimentary breakfast was below average. Better to have food from outside. The hospitality was okay. People were kind and helpful. Good choice but with a few drawbacks.

Worst hotel of the 10 we stayed in during a 15 day trip, located at a dirt road too far away from anything to do in the town, restaurant closed for no apparent reason when we were there, staff hardly spoke English, building seemed to be used as residential property as well with children in school uniform walking down the stairs in the morning, cleanliness not great, strictly non alcoholic, room not cleaned when we returned from our day out with what was left from breakfast still on the table. Changed to different hotel for the second night of our stay even though we had to pay extra to do that as no refund possible.

Poorly maintained very old building. There are 2 and 3 bhk apartments. Please note that they are not giving this for daily rent nowadays. That means it's completely converted to an apartment, but with no proper maintenance. Even there is no proper entrance way to reach over there. No covered car parking. However, the rent is pretty high, since it's very close to the city centre near main road and civil station.

we reached hotel only to find hotel only has one room booked for us while we had booked two. they argued and were not ready to acknowledge that they were at fault and have given away our room to someone else. As per MMT app & website a room is defined as a one/two/three bedroom suite as applicable while they argued that we have booked two rooms within the same suite which is hilariously sad as they own tariff card shows rates only for the suite and not for any individual rooms within the suite. It was pathetic the way they handled the situation. We stood at reception 7 adults with 3 small kids for two hours and we could get a three bedroom suite and another one bedroom suite. Now the cost of two 2 bedroom suites is on anyday (either through your portal or directly as per their tariff card) higher than a 3 bedroom suite+ 1bedroom suite. After suffering mentally for their fault we asked for the difference. We also tried contacting MMT but the hotel is situated in a place where the signals were way too low. Reception staff also tried once or twice but they couldnt make throught but their efforts felt to be half hearted (coz I know the real reason was simple they earned extra bucks already by giving away one of our 2bedroom suite). All this while they kept portraying as if they gave us two extra rooms (i.e. 2+2 bedrooms) and I wonder what part of it they could not understand that we had BOOKED FOR 2+2 BEDROOMS only. The 1 bedroom suite that they provided had no electricity and we had to wait an hour for it to be rectified (sounds like a 3 star hotel to you? coz the website claims it to be one). Dinner was served cold and when questioned about it these were the specific words of the person in charge, "If you want to eat have it or else don't pay for it". That sound like some real nice service. A supposed 3 star hotel "The Kallat Hotel" serves extensive breakfast menu of cold puri, cold bhaji and cold breads with an average tea (thankfully it was hot). I left my breakfast midway and went to reception to address the issue and arrange for hot food. I waited for 5 mins and there was no one there. No one in their office too which had a seating arrangement for 6 people. I called the security guard and he too searched for the staff member. After another 5-7mins he gave up told me they are coming and left. They never came. All this pathetic service, no wonder one can't just pay even a single penny more for it. Hence we did not pay for the food that we had last night (which was anyway quite a horrible experience in itself). When I said while leaving that you guys should improve your services the lady at the counter started shouting back and turned abusive calling that we came for free food (yeahh why not we just drive 250kms to have free food afterall that's what we do... so logical and hospitable of her). These were some of her other words,"ye free ka khana pachega nahi aapko"; "kuch badappan dikhao" (what the hell, for what should I?); "aap jaise customers hone se achha hai customers naa hon". When she started going further I decided to shoot the video but as soon as I started and she observed me making a video she fled the scene within 10 seconds. I have lived in all kinds of hotels across India and overseas spots like Dubai,Singapore, Seoul and Mexico but by far this was my worst experience. I have stayed even in rooms which may have costed me hardly500 bucks a night and were way better than this hellish place called The Kallat Hotel.

Things I liked about the Hotel - 1) Air Conditioned room regardless of the climate in Wayanad. AC is needed in the afternoon. It is really hot! 2) Working hotwater which is great. 3) TV with all channels. 4) Stunnin view from 10th floor. (See the picture) Things I didn't like about the Hotel - 1) Nobody attends Room service. You sit ducks picking up the phone and calling them. 2) Breakfast was pure vegetarian. It was good but Idli and Appam are not the most exciting vegetarian food. Only if you had something like Ghee roast or Chana Bhattura. 3) Just one elevator for all 10 floors. At breakfast, it gets packed with all occupants which I felt claustrophobic.

I must say a huge thanks to the #Kallat hotel management people. They helped a lot in finding the hotel and plan our trip to roam in Wayanad.They guided us with the address exactly and in a easy way to remember. They received us with a smile. We were in a doubt how the rooms conditions? Whether they were good or not? When we entered the room, we got stunned with the room ambience and tidiness. It was wowwww! we were so happy to get into Kallat Hotel after travel from Blore to Kalpetta and it was worthy to stay their. Management and room stewards were so courtesy towards us. Trust me they have loads of patience. Cheers to #Hotel Kallat.!!

Super scenic view, from the top floor rooms. No food was available in the hotel, not even tea/coffee was available. Room is OK, bed sheets were not smelling.

For a Pleasant stay at kalpetta, wayanand you need to stay here. This is hotel is situated at top with beautiful scenic view. Rooms in the 10th floor are awesome with outdoor balcony. Staffs are kind and helpful.

3 bed room flat given as room. Very poor facilities. Lack of constant water supply. Bathroom rod in 5/6 washrooms were broken. No necessary no.of cooks. Late food. No people for cleaning. Not set in a beautiful place. Only less number of staff. Good reception staff. Staff tortured by owner for revenue. Reception staff were forced to work in kitchen overnight due to pressure and rush. Please don't go and lose your money!

Good place for a family Great location in Wayanad for a family.My wife and I were greeted well by the Kallat staff. The rooms are spacious and clean. Tourist places are very near and this is a budget hotel.We are happy with all the facilities.
