We
(family
of
three
adults)
stayed
from
7-Jun-2023
evening
to
10-Jun-2023
morning:
all
weekdays,
just
after
school
holidays,
and
on
the
verge
of
monsoons,
and
hence
very
quiet
at
the
lovely
resort!
It
was
a
very
pleasant
stay,
and
the
staff
did
everything
possible
to
please
us.
As
soon
as
they
knew
about
the
birthday
of
one
of
us,
they
arranged
for
a
lovely
cake
and
cleared
the
dining
area
to
set
up
a
candle-light
dinner
for
us!
Very
memorable!
Although
we
were
the
only
guests,
there
was
no
let-up
on
the
food
service,
and
very
tasty
fare
was
arranged
by
the
chef
according
to
our
choices
--
multi-cuisine,
and
not
just
our
favourite
Malayali
fare!
It
was
impressive
how
the
cottages
and
the
dining
hall
sections
were
landscaped
and
arranged
on
the
slopes.
The
decor
and
maintenance
of
the
rooms
was
excellent,
with
the
most
modern
fittings.
Hot
water
came
on
the
tap
instantly,
with
gas
heating.
In
case
of
power
failure,
the
generator
switched
on
immediately.
Wi-Fi
internet
across
the
campus
was
very
good,
indoors
and
outdoors.
The
tariff
is
comparable
to
other
coffee
plantation
resorts
in
the
Malanad
/
Malnad
belt.
We
have
stayed
in
a
coffee
plantation
in
Chikkamagaluru.
Karnataka,
and
a
tea
plantation
in
Darjeeling,
Bengal.
Approach
roads
to
plantation
houses
are
always
steep
and
narrow,
and
Wayanad
Coffee
Trail
Resort
is
no
exception.
Within
the
campus
also,
guests
with
mobility
issues,
either
on
wheels
or
on
their
feet,
may
want
to
discuss
their
requirements
with
the
resort
hosts
before
booking.
There
are
non-plantation
resorts
also
in
the
Wayanad
area,
with
more
level
ground,
but
perhaps
less
greenery.
All
in
all,
Wayanad
Coffee
Trail
Resorts
was
a
very
hospitable
and
comfortable
base
from
which
to
explore
southern
and
eastern
Wayanad,
and
to
return
to
in
the
evening,
to
enjoy
a
rest
indoors
or
at
the
swimming
pool!
