One of the best waterfalls I've seen. Important things you should know : 1) Free parking is there only at the top. Before that you'll see 2 parking spaces. But they'll charge ₹40. 2) only 1200 people are allowed to visit per day. 3) The ticket is ₹59 as of today. 4) You have to walk around 700-800meters to reach the fall. The trail is a mix of down hill, uphill and stairs. It might be hard for older people but not impossible. 5) Try to visit on weekdays to avoid the crowd.

Well maintained waterfall I have seen. Chargeable tickets , check point before you start the trek . No eatables are allowed at all so please plan accordingly. However before the starting point shops are there. Maintain silence and stay in group as same is surrounded with thick forest. Try to 1-2 things in hand as walking is more specially returning trip is more tiring. Separate changing rooms are there. You will enjoy every single minute in enjoying this beauty of waterfall. Must visit place . Best one to spend time with your buddies and family. Calm and clean environment. You need to take the ticket and there is a limit of 1200 tickets per day. It's just 1 to 1.5 km walk to reach the waterfalls and there won't be any shops to purchase water bottles once you enter from the ticket counter. It's better you carry a water bottle and need to bring it back and show it to the security.

One of the most beautiful waterfall in Wayanad. Though weekends were crowded. They allow only 1200 people in a day. There is a small trek down to visit the foot of the waterfall. Beware- ROCKS ARE SLIPPERY One can take a bath and enjoy the calmness of the surrounding.water is clean and cold. A perfect place to visit with family and friends to enjoy a day out.

This place is so amazing and silent. After a nice walk through forest, we will reach the the waterfall which is located in between some huge rock formations. The best time to visit is morning. Because, we can avoid rush at that time and can feel the place better. Ticket price is ₹59 for adult. What a beautiful place to be. Wayanad is a precious gem 💎

This is a good place to mini trek till the waterfall. But you gotta be careful of leeches as I was bitten by 2 of them hence do not wear slippers. Choose shoes instead. Overall it was not very crowded which was good and the whole area was really clean and well maintained!

You are not allowed to goo near the waterfall or water. There is a barricade placed and authority present. Overall a decent places. Parking is ₹50/- and entry fees is ₹65/- per person. There is a trek of 40-50 min to reach the place. Keep in mind to not litter the place. You will get food places at the entry and buy souvenir and other things. I went in July in monsoon season.

A very beautiful waterfall inside the forest. From the ticket counter you need to walk more than 1 km to reach the waterfall 🌊. Paid parking is available. Take a bottle of water while you are walking to the waterfall. The way to the waterfall is paved with rocks. Be careful while walking. Entry allowed till 5 pm. Entry fee is Rs 65/- for adults and Rs.35/- for children above 10.

Explore one of Wayanad's finest waterfalls with a serene 1 km trek from the parking lot, offering a moderate yet enjoyable experience. Weekday visits ensure a tranquil atmosphere with minimal crowds, allowing for a peaceful time amidst the cascading waters. Embrace the eco-conscious ethos as no plastic edibles are permitted, enhancing the natural beauty of the surroundings.

A small waterfall, which you can visit if you are in wayanad. Not too different from other waterfalls and height is also not that much. The pathway to reach the waterfall is quite steep and has lots of stairs as well, so it's like a very small trek. Snacks or any food item isn't allowed.

Looking to escape the chaos of city life? Waterfalls is the place to be! It's a fantastic spot to unwind and recharge your batteries. But fair warning, getting there can be a bit of a hassle. First, you'll have to wait in a long line to get your tickets. They only allow 1200 people in per day, so it gets crowded. Once you've got your ticket, you'll need to walk about 1 kilometer to reach the falls. And then there are some stairs you'll have to go down. But trust me, it's all worth it when you finally arrive. The place is absolutely stunning, and the view is breathtaking. You'll be able to enjoy the natural beauty and feel completely at peace. Sure, it might take some effort to get there, but the tranquility and serenity make it all worthwhile. So, if you're in need of a break from the busy city, don't hesitate to visit the waterfalls. You won't regret it!

Good place but difficult hike for old age people. The stair path is slippery closer to the fall. Recommend wearing footwear accordingly. There were few security personnel near the waterfall which keeps the space safe.

Safer environment when it's not the peak rainy season. You may stand beneath the fall or enjoy the shallow water. Entry tickets are limited to 1200/day. So better not to go late. Entry is restricted post 4pm (or 4.30). The road towards the fall is not that good from Meppadi (till Apr 2022).

Beautiful waterfalls. There is a 1 km trek from the starting point down to the falls. No food items are allowed (will be taken out during checking at the entrance). Do get into the water and enjoy the fresh water bathing near falls. They have changing rooms as well for men and women seperately. Very clean and well maintained place.

Nice waterfall. About 1km of trek.. The way in is a steep decline which feels easy to go to. The entry fee is 65₹ for one adult.. The road to falls is bad(under construction) filled with tea estates.. You get a good view of chembra peak on the way to falls Only 1200 people will be allowed per day to waterfalls

After a long walk of 10-15 mins we can reach the waterfall, one of the best waterfall I had ever seen🌊 , They are charging ₹59/- per head for adult. The rocks are too slippery and water was not much cool when we visited. They will not allow in rainy days and they allow only 1200 PPL per day so getting tickets early is recommended. Overall worthy place to visit❤‍🔥

One of the best secluded waterfall in wayanad. To reach you have to walk and climb down around 2-3 km , the path is very slippery and need to pass through the forest which is quite mesmerizing . The view at falls is breathtaking . But as we visited the falls during the weekend it was jam packed .

Amazing waterfall experience after 1.5kms Trek through forest having stones laid way and steep steps down to the waterfall. Changing rooms available in approximate distance from falls where people could change before/after perfect time in water. Bit slippery so be very careful. Crowded in weekends as well as they close by 5pm and limit the visitors on a day!

One of the best waterfalls in Wayanad, Kerala. The waterfall is quite huge, and it is allowed to go close to the waterfall. It is about 1.5 km walk from the ticket counter on a pave footpath through dense trees. The surroundings are so beautiful and peaceful. Carry a water bottle as there is a steep incline while coming back. Plastic or food items are not allowed inside. On the way to the waterfall, you can enjoy the view of beautiful tea and coffee plantations around. Adult ticket - 65 Rs. (Discount for students by showing ID card) Two wheeler parking ticket - 10 Rs. Cash taken only.

Soochipara waterfall Wayanad is a stunning natural attraction in Kerala, India. It is a three-tiered waterfall that falls from a height of about 200 meters, forming a natural pool at the bottom. The waterfall is surrounded by lush green forests and tea plantations, offering a scenic and serene experience for visitors. I visited Soochipara waterfall Wayanad last month with my family and we had a wonderful time there. We reached the waterfall after a 2 km downhill trek through the forest, which was a bit challenging but rewarding. The sound of the waterfall was soothing and the sight of it was breathtaking. We enjoyed swimming in the cool and clear water of the pool, which was refreshing and relaxing. We also tried some rock climbing on the steep rocks around the waterfall, which was thrilling and fun. We spent about two hours at the waterfall, taking pictures and admiring the beauty of nature. Soochipara waterfall Wayanad is one of the best places to visit in Wayanad for nature lovers and adventure seekers. It is open from 9 am to 5 pm every day and the entry fee is Rs 80 per person. It is advisable to visit the waterfall during the monsoon season when the water flow is high and the landscape is more green and vibrant. However, one should be careful about slippery rocks and steps during this time. I would highly recommend Soochipara waterfall Wayanad to anyone who wants to enjoy a spectacular waterfall in a peaceful and picturesque setting. It is a must-see destination in Wayanad that will leave you spellbound by its charm and splendor.

Heard abt this falls and thought we could try this spot . It was fun actually. We had to walk like one kilometer to the falls which was seriously hard cause it was like ups and down . When we reached the falls it was a relief and worth . Unfortunately the falls was closed for straight bath and fun cause of huge waterfall . But the water shattering through the air made us wet and we got down little in water and enjoyed . It was cold and felt energetic. Will recommend this for people who are interested in walking much cause it’s like almost kind of trekking to me .

Visited during May. Park the vehicle near the ticket counter if you want to visit only falls. Otherwise, one needs to walk extra to reach the counter itself. On the way to counter, many paid activities are there. Need to walk one km from the ticket counter. The ticket is Rs.65 per person. For kids till 10 years no ticket. Tickets are limited to 1200 daily. From the ticket counter, downward walking to falls will test one's stamina. This will look like more than 1 km walk. Old people will find it very difficult to go down and come back. Once you reach the falls, you need to cross little pond like formations to go near the falls. The falls were beautiful and had enough water. It didn't disappoint all the efforts put for downward hiking. One can take a nice bath in the falls. Again, upward hiking will test the stamina. A worthy visit for the efforts.

It is like without effort you would not get anything. To see the waterfalls, park your car, vehical and then get ready to walk 2+ Km. Climbing down to see the waterfall is somewhat easy, but climbing back up takes a lot of energy. But the Soochipara Falls is very good when there is a lot of water. You can go down and enjoy the water. Remember to wear shoes as it's gets slippery when it rains.

We must walk around 1km or more to see the waterfall. Not exactly a trek but a paved way. It's all clean and usually not much crowded. There are a lot of parking area near the main entry and there is a lot of paid parking also. The entry fee is ₹59 per adult and honestly it's not worth it. There is just a waterfall which you can only watch and enjoy from a distance as officials won't let us into the water. Not much than that, so plan this place the last.

Absolutely enjoyed the visit to Soochipara Waterfalls. The serenity, the walk and the ambience around this place is beautiful. The walk to the waterfalls roughly takes about ~20 mins for a slow-placed walk. There are ample seats available to relax during the walk. At the time we visited, we were lucky to witness a good amount of water flow.

The best waterfalls in wayand. It’s a fair way to reach and I had a very good experience once I’m at the waterfalls. The view is breathtaking. We visited in July which was the best season to visit with full of water. Had some shops at the start which had some souvenirs and juices and Maggie too.

Great place to take a dip in fresh water. The view is also good. It would be better to visit during working days as the place would be much less crowded. And make sure you are ready to walk a lot. The climb back up after visiting the falls can be quite the task.

A small trek surrounded by greenery to reach this waterfall. It was refreshing and peaceful. Food and plastics are not allowed. Changing rooms are available at around 500m from the waterfall. We visited in June.

The waterfall was good and got chance to go into water as well. Entry fee is 65/- per person. However, in order to reach the waterfall, you will have to walk / trek almost 1 to 1.25 kms. The road is not straight, it is downhill and then huge uneven stairs and rock. Most difficulty will be to climb these, so have plenty of time 1 to 1.5 hrs in hand, have water to drink and keep caps/ sunglasses if weather is sunny.

Waterfall is breathtaking and it's a must visit place in wayanad. Most important point to be noted is number of visitors per day is limited to 1200 on any day.Be mindful and plan this place in first half. Timings are - 8am to 5pm was bit confused on this.On weekend tickets were sold out by 11:30 am 1km trek and trekking is medium level Carry extra pair of clothes.

Silky Milky waterfalls with trek which takes atleast 1 hr to reach waterfalls. Dangerous and damp trek way through forest which is slippery a bit so dangerous for kids and elderly people please avoid if any health issues. Rain pours down the lane which makes it even more beautiful but be mindful of snakes on the way. Bathing in waterfalls is allowed so an extra pair of clothes will be needed. Restrooms are available for dress changes. Beware of blood sucking leeches as they are all on the way to waterfalls.

The falls was maintained hood and clean with the safety measures and the water was too hood while we visited and the walking distance also less and they have gaurds for the safety purpose and the ticket price also reasonable and they allow only 1200 person a day. So if you arrive early you can enjoy more there.

  • 4/5 Sriram V. 1 year ago on Google
Please go on time. They apparently open at 6am and close at 4pm. However if the ticket headcount reaches 1200 people per day or batch, they close the entry for falls. Please go early to witness the waterfalls. Also, the roads aren't smooth, so expect broken roads with some steep uphill turns (not crazy steep though). Plenty of parking available for 4w and 2w. There are shops for refreshments, shopping, fish spa, toys, etc. Please carry and umbrella, as it could rain. It's a 1km walk to waterfalls after reaching the checkpost for tickets. The security folks are strict and they won't allow visitors if the headcount crosses the threshold.

How to reach : Take a bus from Kalpetta/Sultan Bathhery to Memutty bus stand. Three options available from there Rickshaw will cost you 250rs but will drop you till the entrance from there you’ll have to walk a few minutes to the ticket counter Bus available at 1pm exact which is a much cheaper option but you’ll have to walk alot to reach the destination. Make sure you leave waterfalls by 4 if you’re taking the bus cos you’ll have to walk again to the road to get bus at 5pm

You need to walk 1km on a steep path to reach this falls, entry ticket is 59rs and you also have govt parking available, You also get nice view of tea plantations around on the way, Amazing views aside really appreciate all the good work by people working there and govt for keeping it so clean, there are dustbins all around and you also have water cans in few places, so if you plan to visit be mindful and please don't thrash the place!

The name Soochipara derived from the words "soochi" and "para" signifies "rock" and 'needle'. The name given is able as should be obvious needle molded shake here. You need to stroll around 2 km to achieve the waterfall, where vehicles can't move further. The dilute here falls from a stature of 100 to 200 ft and this waterfall is a perfect place for trekking and rock climbing. You can locate a pool underneath this falls and here you can go for swimming and washing. A visit to this places should definitely be included in your Wayanad tour to make it a lifetime remembering the experience.
