This the beautiful view point that we can see ,when travel through Wayanad. This view point is at the one of the hair pin at mountain pass. We can see some part of Kozhikode district from there. When we went through there we stop the vehicle and experience the view. The place is full of vehicles, and many people stay there. Then we saw there is some animals like monkey hanging there in the tree. Some of the monkeys come to the top for search food, some of the people there gives food for them. We taken some photographs from there and return. That was a good experience for us.

Pretty nice view point. 1st time hairpin bend drivers will have a sense of accomplishment after clicking a pic from here. There is no parking allowed, but still it's named a view point so all park and click pics. Not sure if we will be fined if caught by police patrol. Please be careful when overtaking, very rash driving by govt vehicles.

View point is good but too risky because no parking is there and main road to or from Kozhikode. Full traffic always in this road. View is good if no mist is there. Way to Kozhikode and hairpin bend look nice from here. Lot of monkeys is there. Beawar about food from money.

The Lakkidi Ghat section, stretching from Kozhikode to the gateway of Wayanad district, offers a mesmerizing experience for travelers. This serpentine path is renowned for its breathtaking beauty, especially during the early morning hours and at night. The best times to visit are in December and during the monsoon season, when the lush greenery and misty atmosphere create a magical landscape. As one navigates through the ghat, the dense forests and winding roads present a picturesque view, often enveloped in a soft mist, adding to its mystic charm. However, visitors should be mindful of the local wildlife, particularly the abundance of monkeys along the route. While these creatures add to the area's natural allure, it's important to be cautious and avoid any interactions that could lead to unpleasant encounters. One significant aspect to note is the restriction on parking in the Ghat section. This rule is in place to preserve the natural beauty and prevent congestion on the narrow roads. Visitors are advised to park their vehicles after the Ghat section and enjoy the scenery on foot. This not only ensures a more immersive experience but also demonstrates responsible tourism. Walking through the Ghat offers an opportunity to fully appreciate the stunning vistas, the sound of the flowing streams, and the freshness of the mountain air. In conclusion, the Lakkidi Ghat section is a must-visit for nature lovers and those seeking a tranquil escape. Its natural beauty, combined with the exhilarating drive through the hills, makes it a unique destination. However, it's crucial to respect the environment and local regulations to maintain the pristine condition of this beautiful region.

This place gives us a great view of the kozhikode district. Also the hairpin turns of road could also be seen. During rainy days the view point will be covered in mist. Although there's 'no parking' sign, many vehicles park there. There is no proper waste management. And the presence of monkeys is also there. So watch out for them

The views are breathtaking. You get an aerial view of the valley along with lush green mountains & rock mountains in a distance. You can also see some cloud covered mountains, which looks magnificent. There are monkeys around this point, so keep your belongings safe & don’t feed the monkeys. There is no proper parking spot here. It’s just along the main road which is very busy. It’s not very safe for kids or elders. Since this is a famous spot, visiting amenities should be made available for the tourists. Overall a nice spot to visit.

Lakkidi View Point is an absolute gem for nature lovers and anyone seeking breathtaking vistas. Located in the picturesque Wayanad district of Kerala, India, this viewpoint offers a panoramic view of the Western Ghats that's nothing short of awe-inspiring. The drive to Lakkidi itself is an adventure, with winding roads and dense forests creating an enchanting atmosphere. Upon reaching the viewpoint, you're greeted by lush greenery, misty valleys, and a sense of tranquility that's hard to find elsewhere. The view from Lakkidi is particularly mesmerizing during sunrise and sunset when the changing colors of the sky cast a magical spell over the landscape. It's a photographer's paradise, but even if you're not into photography, the sheer beauty of the place will leave you spellbound. There are also some local stalls selling snacks and handicrafts, making it a great spot to savor some local flavors and pick up souvenirs. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, a photographer, or simply someone who appreciates natural beauty, Lakkidi View Point is a must-visit destination that will leave you with memories of stunning landscapes and a deep connection to the serene beauty of Kerala.

Amazing panoramic views! The viewpoint offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The scenery is simply stunning, with rolling hills, lush greenery, and a clear blue sky. It's a perfect spot for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts. The viewpoint is easily accessible and well-maintained, with benches and information boards providing interesting facts about the area. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a serene and picturesque experience. And spectacular sunrise spot! This viewpoint is a gem for sunset lovers. As the sun starts to set, the sky transforms into a vibrant canvas of colors, casting a warm glow over the landscape. It's a magical sight to behold. The viewpoint is located at an elevated position, allowing for unobstructed views. However, it can get quite crowded during peak hours, so arriving early is recommended. Don't forget to bring your camera and capture the breathtaking sunset! While this viewpoint may not offer the most extraordinary views, it still has its charm. The location provides a decent vantage point to appreciate the surrounding scenery, which includes a mix of mountains and a nearby lake. The viewpoint is easily accessible, and there's ample parking available. However, there aren't many amenities or facilities in the area so short visit or a quick photo opportunity.

This was one of the high points of our Kerala trip. The view is mesmerising. I was simply awestruck at the natural beauty here. The rolling green hills, the amazing blue sky in the background with thick white clouds. It was a riot of colours so soothing to the eyes and nourishing to the soul. We parked the car at road side as there is no parking available. There are lots of monkeys here, one of them took our juice box and helped himself. 😄 The monkey menace was the only negative thing about this place.

The panoramic vistas from various viewpoints along the route are truly captivating, especially during sunrise and sunset. The cool breeze and the fragrance of the surrounding flora create an immersive experience. The drive can be both thrilling and tranquil, as you navigate through forests, tea gardens, and tribal settlements. However, it’s important to note that the road conditions can vary, and some stretches might require cautious driving. The weather can also impact visibility and road safety, so it’s advisable to plan your journey accordingly. Overall, Wayanad Churam offers an unforgettable journey for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers, providing a memorable blend of natural beauty and thrilling driving experiences.

It was a wonderful view point with beautiful greenery all around this point. Parking space was difficult from this viewpoint due to limited parking space and the majority of people parking along the road, which is quite risky. You can spend up to maximum half an hour at this point to relax and enjoy the wonderful scenery.

Most beautiful view from the top most part of thamarasery. It's a must watch. While parking make sure you don't create any difficulties for other travelers. Park safe and carefully watch the view ❤️ Try the salted fruits and Kaada egg from the small shops near by.

Love the view, clouds are literally below the place where we stand and view. Only issue I found here is with Google map cheating as there is no parking space - yet it is a view point. And the outcome is police catching hold of every car owners who parked by to take photos. And fine them with 250 bucks. A free viewpoint not so free.

Awesome view of the downward road and greenery. But there is no provision of parking or spending much time. It's just like any other hillside road, best not to wait for too long while parking, it may cause inconvenience to others.

Lakkidi Viewpoint famous for its mesmerizing views is a high altitude offering a bird's eye view of the city. Located 32 kilometer's from Wayanad, at an elevation of 700 mts, the region mostly stays misty and offers a beautiful view of the hairpin turns down the hill. The thrill of driving up to the point is an experience in itself. One should visit Lakkidi View Point for sunrise and sunset to get the best views.

This is one of the picturesque views 🌄 that you can relish while driving along the Coorg-Wayanad road 🛣️ trip. To fully appreciate this breathtaking ❤️ scenery, there's no need for trekking🚶/trails/🧗 climbing; you simply have to locate a suitable spot to park 🅿️ your vehicle 🚗 and step out to savor the view. There are no entry fees ⛔ or anything of the sort; just remain cautious of other vehicles 🚜 on the road. You can comfortably sit 🪑 and capture numerous photos 📸 of the mountains 🏔️, nature 🌲, clouds ☁️, and more. The ideal times to visit are either at sunrise 🌄 or sunset 🌇. Additionally, you might encounter some monkeys 🐒 here, known for their curiosity and potential to snatch food 🍔 or items like glasses, mobile 📱, etc., so be aware of the same This spot is a must-visit, requiring minimal time and effort, making it a highly recommended experience.

View of Thamarassery bends. Road side parking, so make sure that you are not making any traffic blocks there. And these days I think the police are also not allowing people to park there due to traffic blocks. The night view is nice.

Around half an hour from Padinjathara, this view point is famous for its views of the Hairpin curves in the area. You can see almost entire Calicut from the top. No entry fee, but difficult parking, this view point is right on the road. So take care and beware of monkeys. People also visit this place for the beauty of both Sunrise and Sunset.

Nice view of the city, with the hair pin bends and a pretty white structure (may be a mosque? Couldn't figure out). Can skip if you are limited on time as there isn't much else to do here. It's basically on the side of the road. We went early in the morning and it was quite nice watching the clouds pass by over the view. We had nice breakfast of appams and puttus at one of the eateries near here.

You get the awesome view from this location especially when it's foggy...❤️ The only thing that bothers is there are lot of monkeys and you need to be very careful of your belongings as they may take your items. Very close to the honey museum. There is no wait time or entry ticket. You can click good pictures and you will get this beautiful view without any trek. You can just stop your vehicle by the roadside and you can enjoy the view.

A great view point, at the entry point to Wayanad, when travelling from Calicut. Offers a mesmerizing view. And the view is different in different seasons. Almost a sure stop for anyone who travels to Wayanad through Thamarassery Ghat road. If you don't park your vehicle responsibly, it might cause traffic jam in the area, as there is no much dedicated parking area, other than the few places where there is space beside the road.

Each time you visit, you would get a fresh feel. Visit during rainy or winter season. ( Druing heavy rainfall travelling is risky). Try to go early morning or night. Night view is also good.

  • 4/5 Shijin P. 8 months ago on Google
Nice panoramic view of the hairpin bends and hill view is out there but would be recommended to visit during winter season other than summer bcz nowadays during summer it's not cold as it was before. Well so that you can see & feel the fog with the rain. That would be one of the best experience if you are on 2 wheeler. Rest is upto you. NB: Parking personal vehicles is illegal you can be charged by the cops for breaking law at anytime park at your own risk and kindly avoid bringing snacks and beverages monkey are likely to pick up things even from you and the cars if windows are open.

Beautiful view point after climbing the mountain roads, limited parking space available and crowded most of the time. Look out for aggressive wild monkeys and stay away from them or do not feed them. Scenic views of Kozhikode district. Few meters away from Wayanad district border. No tickets needed, street side parking.

  • 4/5 sukesh u. 9 months ago on Google
It's really beautiful. I visited during rainy season, but may be in winter season this point may be even more beautiful ..! But be careful while parking your vehicles on road side and avoid unwanted risk while taking pictures. No need to buy tickets and no time restrictions to visit this place.

Perfect hill station feeling at this place. Difficult to stop the car though if you are driving fast. Not enough commercialised parking lot or sign board is there Follow Google map. The view is very good. Cloud keeps playing with the visitors :)

As soon as you exit Vythiri city and start descending the ghats this spot comes. It is an open spot i.e you stop on the road and enjoy the valley view. You will see small cloud formations which looks heavenly. Clicking few pics as a memory is recommended. Beware of monkeys though.

During my recent visit to Wayanad, I had the opportunity to visit the stunning Lakkidi View Point. Situated amidst the lush green hills of Kerala, this viewpoint offers a mesmerizing panorama. One of the highlights of Lakkidi View Point is the panoramic view of the hairpin bends on the road leading to Wayanad. It was a sight to behold as vehicles maneuvered through the curves, creating a captivating spectacle against the backdrop of the hills. The only minor drawback was the limited amenities available at the viewpoint. There were no food or refreshment stalls, so it's advisable to carry snacks and water for a more comfortable experience.
