I would like to share my whole experience here. The resort Jeep picked us at Meppadi. We have to travel 5km from there to the resort. The jeep trek was very good. We stayed in tree house and wooden cottage. Both were compact and beautiful. We can see the water running down the rocks from our balcony. We were not allowed to bath in the falls as it is the drinking water to the down town. Food provided was damn tasty. On the whole we had a wonderful time here. Would definitely come back! Services and the atmosphere are worth the money provided.

Location is excellent and it was an experience in itself. The forest around you, the water stream flowing through the resort and the sound of it... made our stay a lifetime memorable experience. Rooms are just ok, don't expect much. Cottage room was stinking and little congested. Strictly for two people. Suite room was little better. Food was great and the service was excellent. Will visit again and stay atleast for a couple of days to enjoy this experience again. You will have a 5km off-road drive through forest and cardamom plantations which is also a gr8 experience.

We went on October 2022 with three families, and it turned out to be a memorable experience for all of us. From the moment you reach the spot , till you leave the hotel you will feel that you are in a different world altogether. The major plus is the food and the hospitality which they offer. The staff was very courteous and was always ready to help. Food is really excellent, we stayed there for 3 days and all the 3 days it was amazing. The continuous water flow sound from the river flow nearby your room is something which I have never experienced anywhere. You feel so close to nature. Overall, good property !!!

Lantern stay is one of the best stays we have had till date. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Mr. Vinod who went extra miles for our requests. They bought all requested materials from 8 kms down the mountains just to keep up with our requests. We ordered some fruits and it was available within some hours from down the mountains. They could have easily escaped saying it’s not possible but they arranged. The meals by themselves were delicious, with organic ingredients. We are super happy with the gesture and will surely visit soon with entire family. It’s a must visit place. It’s like living in a real forest amidst nature, waking up to the call of birds, and sound of stream. The tree house was indeed an experience in itself. It was difficult to leave the place. Thank you guys for such a warm welcome and stay.

Overall it's good resort for family stay. Safety& cleanliness is good.. tasty food is the feather on the cap.. both veg& non veg area good.. especially tamilnadu rice available.. wonderful location.. Only missing is swimming pool.. adventurous jeep travel was excellent but bit scary.. more entertainment for children with many games.. + camp fire & grill are advantage.. nice trip with family& friends.. good place to visit in this summer

Great place to enjoy nature, and bird watching. Relaxed stay away from town/city. The resort arranges Mahindra Jeep to pick you up from the parking area. That 20 minute drive in the Jeep is an experience in itself.

If you are looking for a resort which is close to nature, then this is it. I spent couple of days with my family and it was a wonderful experience. The location is excellent where the balcony of the cottages face the stream. At night, the sound of stream resembles rain. You can also enjoy a guided hike in nearby trails and a campfire at night. The staffs were welcoming and very polite. Last but not the least, the food was great. Definitely recommend this place.

This is an excellent stay in nature to unplug yourself and just relax. It has got amazing views of mountains and has 2-3 streams running around the resort. It's worth staying here for 2-3 nights. For the last leg of journey to reach the resort you need all wheel drive car, otherwise car can be parked 4-5km before the resort and jeep will be sent to pickup the guests, riding in the jeep was an enjoyable experience. There is no mobile network, reception has WiFi in case you want to stay in touch with outside world. It's a heaven for bird watchers, you get to spot many birds endemic to the region. Food is mostly pre-set menu, Kerala style, keeps rotating every day, it's delicious. Service was good, very helpful people around.

Had a memorable stay with family... The Jeep ride from the parking lot to the resort was really adventurous and we had a 'thrilling' experience. Highlights are... Wild Location really close to nature, Yummy food and very friendly staff. Rooms, maintenance and activities could have been better. Overall we really enjoyed the stay and highly recommend the place!

Awesome food, pleasant stay and adventurous 4x4 drive with splash. Good place to spend time. The river sound is an addition. Morning tracking awesome. Must visit but for those having back issues should avoid, very small kids, should check about 4x4 drive which is must to reach this resort.

Truly a date with nature as their tagline says. It was an amazing experience in the middle of the forest. The property and atmosphere was truly beautiful. All their staff were friendly and helpful. They were ready to provide suggestions, information without any hesitation. Made us feel safe. The jeep drive to the property was on of the best offroad drives ever. The morning trek through the forest was refreshing and the guide was explaining each and every detail thoroughly. The food provided was tasty too.

This was a memorable trip, especially jeep ride, it was an adventurous one. Room was really nice. You will see green everywhere. Robin arranged campfire with one big speaker, in that place hearing our fav song was an amazing experience. Wild location. Nice food. Great service and friendly nature staffs. Great Location and service. Perfect Ambience for nature and peace lovers. Staffs are polite and provide clear information during check in. We need to park our vehicle at their Parking place(very safe) . They will arrange a jeep for check in and check out. Recommended to carry less luggage.

Just Woooow .. little tough to reach but worth it.. the only drawback is rooms are not that spacious.. Food is too good and the staff are polite.. outside view is simply superb.. those who want to spend time with nature would definitely go for it..

For those who want to sleep with the sound of nature and non stop water flow from a live stream and falls and wake with the music of the birds around you, eat your breakfast while you see the giant squirrels play around the trees and pass your evening seeing the deer’s drink water… This is the place.. Important note - You’ll face a lot of leaches but no issues carry sanitizer spray with you and it’s gonna help..

Kudos to the owner for the amazing design and construction. Great and humongous efforts behind it for sure. Tent and Rooms both offer great stay experience. Patient and friendly staff. Great food. Variety and location specific menu provided which was a bonus for taste buds. My favorite was the off-roading we need to do to reach the stay.

The resort we stayed at was really nice. The rooms were close to the edge of the forest and the staff were friendly and helpful. Especially the food was amazing! We had a really enjoyable stay.

Simply the best in the heart of the forest. I and my family stayed in Lantern stay for twp days and we enjoyed right from the start till the end. The off-road ride, games, entire premises surrounded by monkeys and lot more. One thing we loved most is, The Food. An appetizing breakfast, lunch and dinner. I recommend this resort to everyone.

If you love staying amidst real forest then this is the destination!!! This is no fancy place but a place with serene real nature ! The view of hills and dense forest and flowing water right from your room is unmatchable!!! The sounds of birds, flowing water and crickets is a kind of break you need from the city life!!! The hospitality is great and the food is amazing!!! You get home like food with lots of varieties and great taste!!!

Recently visited lantern stay at Wayanad. It was the best decision that we chose to stay here for our vacation. If you want to be away from your daily chores this is the best ever place to visit . The environment of this resort is just serene and beautiful . Specially the jeep ride and the food over there was soooo good . Staffs from the resort were so kind . I would highly recommend this place for stay. Special mention to Mr.Alex our host who took care of us during our stay. He guided us throughout our journey in Wayanad.

One of the finest stay in Wayanad. I strongly recommend this place for family. Being located in deep forest this place gives an immense pleasure and happiness. Visited this place with four families and stayed in Tent where we had camp fire, trekking and tasty authentic food for all three days. We also did grill chicken on request and enjoyed. We need to park our vehicle 6 Kms away from our stay and from there the resort people will take us to the location through their jeep, and that is adventurous. The bathrooms are clean and neat which is more important when we stay in the forest area.

It's a very nice place. The stay in lantern exactly fulfilled the quote "A date with nature".We loved the place, stay as well as the food. The property is situated in forest , need to travel 4 km off-road drive in their Jeep to reach lantern stay .The drive was superb....

Wonderful place for camping and offroading. Clean and hygienic washroom and a wonderful host! We went there in a group and had a wonderful time. Waking to the sounds of birds chirping was simply superb!

We stayed there for two nights, food was excellent both veg and non veg. Best place to stay close to nature, from there we can also visit nearby places like 900 kandi(glass bridge), soochipara falls, zip line. Overall best place to chill and relax....!! This was the best resort I have ever been. Calm, quiet, surrounded by nature and adventurous. Must visit if you are planning an escape from your daily life. Defenitly looking forward to visit again

Memories still afresh even after a decade. Nature’s tranquility, convenient & peaceful setup, skylight bathroom, hot home cooked tasty food, helpful owner & care takers and much more. I see a lot of changes. However, I hope to revisit sometime. Cheers!!

We stayed for 3 days, it was a awesome experience away from city in the forest. The nature lovers will love it. We went with families. Must explicitly visit the this wonderful place. The cottage, the stream which sounds like rain. Birds humming etc. Very good staff and the service was excellent.Food was very tasty. Don't miss to visit

It was a very memorable experience. Very heart whelming and close to nature. Food was far too too good. It's like both stomach and heart are filled. Their service was also good and they were very energetic. Felt like we were far away from real world. There is a waterfall beneath the resort, there would not be a better place to view this beauty of nature and sit in balcony listening to your fav playlists. They took us trekking which is so much enjoyable. Leeches are the only problem, pls take some salt or apply some lotion before going on trekking.

4 days stayed in different places in Waynad. I had wonderful experience in one night stay here. No time, otherwise I would have extended my stay. You will enjoy peaceful atmosphere, beautiful nature, pure water and air. Nice and very good supporting staffs. Everything is good here, everyone must try.

We loved everything about this resort. I won't forget such a great happy time in my life. My home is at Kalladikode the same forest area of western ghats. But never get a chance to live inside forest. First of all i should appreciate team Lantern Stay. I just called on last time and it was fully booked due to new year eve. But they called me back saying one tree house was cancelled and would you like to book as we were in waiting list. For us as a family it was a lottery. Considering peak time expense was too less and good to stay. Main thing is excellent food. Even though it is a pre set menu, it is excellent food. We should say one of the good food we can get in Kerala with Forest Ambience. Also the river flowing sound and indoor games area they provided were awesome. If any body want to taste forest ambience and delicious food together this is the best place. Thank you team Lantern Stay for providing a good stay and a good new new year. Even though one time pick up and drop off - off road Jeep drive it was a sweet treat who enjoy off road trip. Overall great experience great stay

This resort has become pathetic. We stayed here two years ago and it was fantastic But now, the villa we stayed was worst. The curtain rode fell down our heads three times when we tried opening curtains Food was pathetic , no enough quantity and quality.The staffs are not at all welcoming and complete failure in hosting The fruits we brought was eaten by rats from our room, we asked wake up call but the telephone was down and nobody even cared to come inperson to door. Trekking was good but once we reached the spot it was all hurry to come back We did ordered few chicken snacks which was pathetic and we had to completely adjust with all foods Finally when we gave them the feedback and concern at checkout the guy was simply browsing his phone which is utmost not acceptable behaviour The price they charged and what we got is completely different. NOT ADVISED GUYS PLEASE STAY AWAY This review is in consideration with all their limited facilities due to the location of resort, but the above facts are something they can correct easily. End of the day they didn't even accepted their mistakes

pathetic staffs with pathetic room broken amenities , few rats will be accompanying you in room ( dont say it’s because of forest location) The food you have to eat what they give, they will not ask what we want in advance. Only one thing that was good is the trek to stream and falls. I would not recommend this place at the price that they charge, literally is below average based on amenities, service and their staff attitude ( looks like they feel that the accommodation is offered on charity )

From the moment the jeep rumbled through the verdant hills, I knew this was something special. We loved the cozy treehouses and rustic cottages, inviting us to wake up to the melody of nature. The absence of TVs and Wi-Fi (it was there in the restaurant though) forces you to truly disconnect and embrace the symphony of bird songs and the sound of the stream flowing nearby. Trekking behind the resort up the hill was an amazing experience, but we didn’t have enough time as we kept it for the last day. Staffs were friendly, knowledgeable about the local attractions. The resort team is more than just staff; they're like family. The delicious traditional Kerala meals were a highlight. (They asked us what we wanted at the time of booking and we chose local delicacies) The bonfire evenings, were filled with laughter, stories, and a sense of camaraderie that transcended language and background. All the guests enjoyed the bonfire with music, dance and lots of food. While Lanternstay itself is a haven, it's also a perfect base for exploring Wayanad's treasures. We also been to the breathtaking Chembra Peak, trekked through the misty Edakkal Caves, and spice plantations. A Few Pointers: • It was a great eco-friendly experience. Hot water was limited(I think), and electricity comes from solar panels. This adds to the charm for some, but may not be for everyone. • Be prepared for a bumpy jeep ride to the resort – it's all part of the adventure! • Pack good walking shoes and insect repellent, as the jungle life is very much present. • If you love the music of jungle, it’s a must-go-place.
