Parking is sometimes not allowed and be careful on that. When parked make sure that your parked vehicle is not causing any issues for other travelers. Its a very scenic place. Recommend to visit here in the morning or evening. Also keep in mind that the road visibility will be very less these times, especially when it is winter. Do not throw any foods to monkeys and do not throw plastic here. There is another small stream flowing opposite to the road.

Located at an altitude of about 2,000 meters above sea level, the viewpoint offers stunning views of the Western Ghats mountain range and the surrounding landscape. One of the main attractions of the view point is the panoramic view it offers of the Western Ghats, which is a mountain range that runs along the western edge of the Deccan Plateau in India. The Western Ghats are home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, and the view from the viewpoint is breathtaking.

My all visits to the Wayanad Churam Viewpoint was nothing short of breathtaking. Perched atop the lush hills of Wayanad in Kerala, this viewpoint offers a mesmerizing panoramic view of the Western Ghats that left me spellbound. The journey to the viewpoint itself is an adventure, with winding roads that lead you through dense forests and tea plantations. Once I reached the viewpoint, I was greeted by a cool and refreshing breeze, a welcome respite from the heat. The vista before me was nothing short of awe-inspiring. The mist-covered peaks of the Western Ghats seemed to stretch endlessly into the horizon, creating a surreal and almost dreamlike atmosphere. The lush greenery, valleys, and tea gardens below added layers of natural beauty to the scene. The viewpoint was thoughtfully developed with seating areas and safety railings to ensure a comfortable and secure experience. I spent hours here, simply soaking in the beauty and tranquility of the surroundings. I must also mention the friendly locals who shared stories and insights about the area, adding a layer of cultural richness to my visit. In conclusion, the Wayanad Churam Viewpoint is a must-visit for anyone traveling to this part of Kerala. It's a place where nature's grandeur takes center stage, and it offers a truly magical experience for all those who make the journey to witness its beauty.

The view that one experience from The Wayanad's Viewpoint is fabulous. This ghats has an ancient story to tell which happened hundreds of years back when the British was ruling India. The story of the village elder, Moopan Malayan Karindhandan. The present ghats was the way shown by this man to the British soldiers in order to reach Wayanad from Kozikode. The city of Kozikode is visible from this point. All the buses, visitors or anybody who visits Wayanad from the side of Kozikode goes through this ghat. It is also known as Thamarasserry Churam. The view point is spread widely in a fairly long distance which helps the tourism department greatly in avoiding over crowding of people. There are no tickets to be taken, it's totally free of cost for anyone. Dustbins are kept where the travellers can dispose their plastic as well as paper wastes. A fair amount of parking space is also available. The view point shows you not only the beauty of the ghats but also the city of Kozikode from Wayanad.

The British used to transport spices from Wayanad to Beypore Port, Kozhikode via the Kuttiadi route. Between 1700 and 1750, they searched for a new route which could reduce the distance. For which, they sought the help of Karinthandan Moopan (chief), a tribal leader from the Paniya tribe in Wayanad. The route via the Thamarassery ghat was found with the help of Karinthandan. It is believed that he was later shot to death.[1] It is also believed that Karinthandan's ghost haunted the travellers for a while until it was nailed to a tree by a wizard. The mysterious chain tree is situated at Lakkidi in Wayanad district, 1 km away from the Churam view point. It is a picturesque plateau situated at a height between 700 meters and 2100 meters above the mean sea level nested among the mountains of the Western Ghats on the Eastern portion of North Kerala and on the sides of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka States.

Wayanad means the land of paddy fields in Malayalam. Wayanad is one of the greenest tourist places in Kerala. Enriched with godly beauty, serene atmosphere and rich culture, Wayanad tourism is a perfect mix of nature and man-made heritage. After all, the place is famous for its richness in cultures, traditions, and tribal heritage. Small, unnamed waterfalls, that line the city haphazardly, add to the place’s charm. Being home to some of the most lush green vegetation, Wayanad is one of the most refreshing forest places to visit in Kerala.

The green Ghats en route to Wayanad has nine hairpin bends. Each hairpin bend opens up a new frontier. The misty peaks glare back right at your soul and at each of the nine bends, one feels the desire to stand still and stare back. The Thamarassery Churam, as the locals call it, was once explored by the tribals before the British further developed it. Today, people cannot help making pit stops and soaking in a view that no other place on earth can offer.
