It is located in the Wayanad district. You can find a Wild life forest safari inside the forest. It will start in the morning 7:00 am to 10:00 am and afternoon 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. To get tickets from the counter, reach there atleast 30 mins before the starting time. You can find lots of Deers some peacock peahens and some birds, squirrels in this forest. Sometimes you can find 2 or 3 elephants.

One can experience the nature at its own color here. Traveling through this road would be a cheering feel to mind and soul. The roads are in good condition, but humps are there at the frequent intervals. We will be able to see different wild animal such as elephant, deers and monkeys on the way.

The entry fee for adults is Rs.300/- and Rs.150/- for children. Morning 7am to 10 am and 3pm to 5pm is the time for Jungle Safari. It depends on your luck to see animals in the forest. We saw 🦌 and peacock on our safari. In my opinion it's better to go by road if you are lucky you can see 🦌. For me it was really a waste of time and money. If you are interested just to travel and see a forest go for a safari. Not busy during weekdays.

Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary in Wayanad attracts thousands of tourists round the year with its lush green forest that promises endearing views and experiences hard to forget for years. The second largest wildlife sanctuary in Kerala, Muthanga consists of tropical moist dry deciduous, evergreen forests, bamboo thickets and plantations, and is home to many varieties of birds and animals. The Sanctuary has a large population of pachyderms and has been declared a Project Elephant site. Elephants roam freely here and tigers are sighted occasionally as well. Various species of deer, monkeys and birds also live here. A drive along the road to Muthanga and further offers chances to watch these roaming animals. Best season to visit: December to May

Muthanga forest is a beautiful place there we can enjoy the wildlife and the climate the forest rute is absolutely amazing and the ride is spectacular we can see many different kind of wild animals in there it such a quiet palce and the nature give us a good rifreshment

Wonder forest drive experience... This forest is under Kerala territory. It is the border area between kerala and Karnataka. The morning drive or ride is awesome.

DON'T waste MONEY and TIME here. You will not see anything apart from small deers and 2-3 elephants The safaris happen soo much that the animals get scared and are deeper inside the forest where we arent allowed.

Best safari through the jungle..visit this place at morning time when it's foggy..such a beautiful view of the forest..charges rs.300 per person for 1 hr ride!

If u love forest you will love this place .For jungle safari,hmmm may be just may be you will found animals other than deer n peacock.But we didn't have that luck

Had a great misty morning ride through the forest. Only spotted deer and peacock. But the ride was so nice and enjoyed it. We can see and enjoy the beauty of the jungle. You have to visit early morning to get tickets as the ride to jungle will be closed by 10 am. Also there's a mini museum.

It's good place to visit, you can see a lot of wild animals in their habitat.

The jungle safari was good. But one thing is that you have to be really lucky to spot a tiger or an elephant. The safari is almost one hour through the forest. You have to reach the ticket counter in advance to get the tickets or else they won't issue it if the slots are filled. Morning 7 am and evening 3pm are the time to get the tickets.

On the way we can see hundreds of deer families very near to see the main road side. Going early in the morning or in the evening time of 5.30 pm. It is marvelous to see very near the animals.. It is a very cute moment of so many baby deer and their families there to eat grass.. Enjoy the sunset evening.. Sky is in red that time.. 😍🥰🥰🥰

Nature is the main attraction and most of the times there will be deers, elephants and other wild animals like bisons bears on the both side of the forest road.. The forest ride is such a wonderful feeling and a unique experience for those who love to travel and like to be with nature. There is full of calm and quiet areas except the soothing sound of several species of birds trees and animals. Although I recommend to those who love nature and forest rides,explore it.

It is a main forest in wayanad district . It is also a tourist destination . It is a good place for wild animal lovers . We can go for a safari to see different types of wild animals , birds etc. Tickets are available in the reception office . It is good place to visit with family and friends.

Timing : 7 am to 9 am and 3 pm to 5 pm. Entry fee : By jeep 2000 rs, maximum 6 persons allowed in a jeep. By bus 300 per person. Animals: we saw elephants, deers, peacocks, and monkeys. Recommended to reach there early before 7 am and catch up on the first safari vehicle jeep or bus. Otherwise, you were not able to see animals as so many vehicles entered into the forest and animal may not available on road sides.

In rainy weather elephants will come to the road sides be safe don't stop vehicles near by it . We don't know what they do. Please stop 2 wheelers away from elephants
