This is one of the rare places which deserve a 5 star rating! Everything including the location, ambience, hosts and food was great! Ranjith ans his family were great hosts. The room was so clean, it was literally shining, atleast the metallic elements :D. The linens were extremely clean and white and the bathrooms looked untouched which is amazing! And to top it off, our bus was at 11.50 PM and the checkout time was 12 Noon, but Mr. Ranjith let us stay without any extra charge and then even dropped us off at 11 at the bus station! Oh and he has 2 wheelers which we rented for 2 days at minimal costs, which made the trip even better! Also, the Wi-fi is super fast! 10/10 would recommend!

'Excellent' will be a stall word if i use that word explain my feelings after the fabulous 2 days stay at Greenwoods during this month. Everything about this place such as location, cleanliness, owner's behaviour, food, facilities were double the worth of money we spent. The current owners Sarafuddeen (and family) and Babu are beutiful humans who is ready to help you any time for anything and everything. The homemade food prepared by them during our stay was affordable and sumptous. Very kid friendly rooms and coyrtyard as well. A must visit place for those who love the beauty of homely stay away from home. Best for family. Highly recommended.

Must say mathew's family is one among the warmest and sweetest people I have come across. To begin with We had our check-in time in evening but the family was gracious enough to welcome us in the early moring. We checkedout at 10pm although our checkout time supposed to be in the morning. since our plan was bit distubed, Mathew's family was kind enough to let us stay extra hours and really made our trip smooth and memorable. As we were 6 girls, with all the responsiblities they dropped us to bus stop and checked on us untill we reach bangalore. Food : The hot coffee is all you need after a tiring day. Family served us tasty home food for supper we craved for, with lots of love.Although dinner was not included in our package. The charges were minimal. Rooms are very spacious, tidy and very well maintained. Its exaclty as it looks in the pictures. The sunset from the homesaty is treat to eyes. You have a wonderful gaze of chembra peak. The place is in the centre of kalpetta and near to most of the touriest places. For sure gonna comeback here whenever my friends and I visit wayanad. Greenwoods homestay would be the place where I perfer for my stay in wayanad. Trip to wayanad??!!! Greenwoods homestay is the place I would love to stay.

Honestly, there is not a single thing to complain about. I just loved it and consider it as a must place to stay at during your visit to Wayanad. It's in Kalpetta and ~2km away from the bus stand. The family was very welcoming, generous and warm. They gave us plum cake on. Christmas and also shared Kerala variety banana from their own garden. We were provided scooty on rent from them. (Convenient) Room was beautiful just like a hotel with all amenities hair dryer, geyser, toiletries, TV, towels, electric water heater for tea and coffee. Most important - Bathroom was crystal clean and tidy. They lit campfire in the evening where you can sit around or lie in hammock etc. They have garden outside where they serve yummy homecooked breakfast. Food - 5/5 Rooms cleanliness and maintenance - 5/5 Service - 5/5 (great) Privacy - 5/5 Warm welcome - 5/5 ----must visit----

We loved every minute of our stay at Greenwoods. Ranjith and his family made us feel extremely welcome and treated us like members of the family from the moment we arrived. The house is located in a quiet residential area 15 minutes walk away (or 5 minute auto-rickshaw) from the centre of Kalpetta. The food we had here was the best we had in India and we certainly never went away from the table hungry! We stayed in the deluxe double room which was immaculately clean, cozy and comfortable. At the end of our stay we had problems with our train ticket which were only 'wait list' status. Ranjith and his wife went above and beyond to help us, they drove us to the station, waited with us until our train arrived, spoke to the guard on our behalf, drove us to buy new tickets and then brought us back to the station - making sure we had a place to stay in the executive area so we would be safe. We would most definitely recommend this homestay to anybody in Kalpetta and will be returning if we are ever in Wayanad again.

Myself and my wife stayed 4 nights from 4/2 to 8/2. Having read good reviews, we decided to stay. Our experience was far more sweeter than our expectations. The host Ranjith and his wife Garishma went out of way to make us happy. Ranjith went out of his way to accompany us for a full day trip to Kuruva Island and Tholpetti wildlife sanctuary. The location of GWHS is picturesque and yet it is in the heart of Kalpetta. The rooms were spacious and can match any five star hotel room (by the way Ranjith was working in a 5 star hotel in Abu Dhabi for 9 years before coming to India to set up this homestay). The food was excellent and served with lots of love and care. Their little son Kichu is very sweet. We spent our time lolling in hammock and swinging. We felt sad to leave. Promised Ranjith we will come again and again. This trip gave us a good family as friends for ever. All the best to Ranjith family.

Located in a nice place, not too inside and not too much in the town either. Has great view. Rooms were nice, had air conditioning. Power cuts are common during heavy rainfall. They had power backup and it helps running a fan and some lights. The complimentary dinner and breakfast were decent. It's simple dinner and breakfast, don't expect anything fancy. They serve 1 curry, 1 set of chapatis and some rice. Curd was acidic. If you need any drinks, the caretaker helps to get them. The room service was nice. The staff were friendly. Beds were given for additional people. It was affordable and enjoyable. The swing was amazing.

This is a really good Home stay, as the stay comforts us that we are in our home. The care taker is a very humble person and helps in all he way we need. A good environment and surrounded completely with greenery. A beautiful place to stay with friends and family. The food is really very tasty and healthy. Both Veg and Non-veg are available and the cook has really tasty hands... 😅 All needs will be done as per our requirements and it's Cost worthy.

Best Home stay!!!! It is located in the kalpeta city just 5 minutes from the center of the city Google location will take you to the homestay but from the main road the diversion towards the homestay is a bit narrow only one car can move, its quite difficult (not for the pro driver) to drive there We have booked the whole property which had 5 rooms - Budget friendly - Rooms were very spacious, clean and well maintained - Its suitable for family, friends - It was a best and tastiest breakfast I ever had - Breakfast option waa available for both the days we stayed for 2 days and options were idli and puttu (I suggest to go with idli ) - Swimming pool is clean - Hot water availability is there - Person who take care of the property is very friendly and professional - He cooks very well ( non veg) - if you want you can also ask him to cook for dinner and barbecue is also available - Property is well and cleanly maintained List goes on and goes.... Just choose this property without any second thought

Great place for a bunch of family and friends to stay. They have a total of 5 rooms, 2 in the ground floor which can occupy 2 to 3 per room. And 3 rooms on the first floor where 2 of those can occupy 2 to 3 per room and the 3rd room can occupy up to 5 people. 2 to 3 = one big king size bed. 5 = one big king size bed + 2 single beds All rooms on the first floor have sofas placed inside them with an attached kitchen. There's a pool which is very well maintained and less chemical free, they will also set up a barbecue for you if you ask for it along with a camp fire. The food they cook is amazing ( mostly non veg), if you are a gang of vegetarians I'd suggest you get break fast here only and arrange lunch from nearby Udupi hotel in kalpetta city. The host is generous and he's pretty chill, he'll make sure all your needs are fulfilled. Amazing stay! Amazing food! Affordable too!

Very good service.. the food they served and the hospitality was excellent. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Spacious and the environment outside was very pleasing. It is sorrounded by plantations which brings alot of God vibes early morning listening to the nature sounds. It was a fun filled experience!

This was my first experience at a home stay and I really liked it. Owners are a simple , sweet family with a very cute kid. Food was superb which included breakfast and dinner. Rooms are very well maintained and it is a beautiful scenery around this place. Location is very accessible to go to any tourist place around Kalpetta. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant stay.

👍 The highlight dish here is the pothum kaal, which was trending in social media. However, the thing we got had less meat and didn't have that bone marrow as seen in all vlogs. That was the only downside I felt because of expectations. Apart from that, the dish was delicious and it had a thick gravy....
