Best resort we have ever visited. In the middle of jungle, excellent service & caring. Enjoyed very much.

This is unique resort located in Kerala Karnataka border near Nagarahole Tiger Reserve and part of North Wayanad. This property is located in the fringes of 3 sides of reserve forest and paddy field in the front. Rooms are maintained with utmost clean and it is budget friendly too. Watch tower, Birding are the great attractions here. Swimming pool was in construction during our visit. If you are lucky you ll spot elephants. We spotted Malabar Gaint Squirrel, Langoor, Butterflies, Moths, Peacocks and several other species of Birds. YouTube Channel : I AM NOT FREE

The verdant green surroundings made the experience awesome. The best place for vacation, a place for people go for relaxation and pleasure. The hospitality is great , good food and very friendly and supportive staff.

Good location, far from city chaos and bordering forest area. Silent and peaceful. Don't expect luxury or amenities like swimming pool, TV etc. Food is great homely made and Anaz and his team are a great host.

Beautiful stay. Close to nature, great ambiance and lot of nice people around. I opted for a camp stay. It was on top and view to the forest was really clear. I spotted sooner deers in the night. Also really safe. I'm a female solo traveler and it was like a home to me.

Truly a scenic location in midst of jungle with electric fence for safety. Manager Mr. Anaz and his wife were very courteous and friendly. Breakfast and non veg food was good. Veg food options could be better. Airtel mobile network not working at all so got completely disconnected and to connect via hotspot from others to send any communications. Last 400 mtr access route is very narrow but 1 vehicle could go. Overall very pleasant stay and helped detox with no TV and no mobile.

I loved to be there always. The serenity you feel is unparallel which you won't find anywhere else. I could indulge in the nature. Felt its abundant joy. The people are genuine and true with a sense of warmth and loving care. Felt home. The food was good, and you just ask them they are ready to serve you. A good place to be! Will visit again and again.

One of the best stays if you want to experience stay within a forest. It is located right within the begur forest reserve and to reach the place you will have to through 1km of off road surrounded by paddy field, which is very scenic. The staff are very polite and friendly and will attend to all your requirements and queries. Food is good and is like home made food with menu consisting of Kerala style dishes. However during our visit it's was raining heavily due to which all the activities like nature walk and bird watching was stopped. I will request the management to have some recreational activities for guests visiting during the rains. Overall a very serene stay experience.

We stayed for just one night. the location, food, atmosphere and also the crew were very very awesome. Nice swimming pool. The rooms are also very good. The final 900m approaching road could be better. The crew are very generous and kind. Would recommend it to friends and family.

If you really wanted to get disconnected with the technology world and truly wanted to enjoy nature and its rhythm, then no doubt Thennal Jungle camp is one of the best for it. The lush green screne forest location soothes with the peaceful stay and memorable time.

Experience at the camp was poor. If you are looking to be away from civilisation than its a good place but than still the breakfast and dinner was very poor. No kettles or glasses in the room. They did not even have a basic egg for breakfast . Rooms were not cleaned properly. And the guests are not informed about how far the neareat town is andnthat its not accessible during night because. No activites for kids. Wifi is only in the dining area.

Thenal was an amazing experience. I was going through memories, and thought of posting a review with some photos. A special thanks to kamal, who made our trip awesome.

Very peaceful stay and amazing host (Anaz and wife). No fancy pools or other recreational stuff, but if you want to sit alone , listen to some music and chill - this is the right place. Last 2kms is more of an offroad drive, so low clearance cars won't be a good idea (they provide a free jeep pickup and drop from the main road). Btw, amazing food as well.

Very nice place to stay. Very calm, nature friendly. Without fan,ac and network coverage you can peacefully stay with very good ambience. People behind the jungle camp also very nice. Polite behaviour, helping mind. Food is so good and homely.

Thennal is the perfect option for those who are looking for a nature based resort / stay, do not expect jacuzzi kind of luxury stay here but guaranteed a deferent atmosphere since it is located in a corner of forest and nearby tribes and opposite side of the resort is full of agricultural land . And especially the food and hospitality is remarkable 👍🏻❤️

Great rooms and great hospitality. Friendly staffs. Homely food and nice natural location good for people who like to stay in a green location. Anaz and his team did an very good job.

Experience was great, staffs were friendly and tried to provide the best service during our Stay. We had baby with us and they were very much supportive. Mr. Arjun was always at his best for making the guests at comfort. Place is in the heart of greenery.. Watch tower can be maintained better.. And outdoor activities were not many. May be a short nature walk or bonfire could be added in the package. Overall I rated 4 only for the last point.

Thennal jungle camp is located in the jungle itself. This place is thrilling and safe at the same time. You can experience the feel of the jungle. scary sounds from the jungle at night make it thrilling and the electric fencing and clean pathways make it safe inside the property. There is one watch tower on the property where n we saw elephants from a close distance at night. Early morning, we spotted a few birds and Malabar giant squirrels. The rooms and toilets are neat and clean. Manager Mr.Anas and his team are polite & took good care of our needs. Mr.Anas shared his knowledge about the jungle and wildlife. Thank you for making our stay special.

It was a very good experience at Thennal jungle camp, rooms r clean. We stayed in canopy hut, rooms were nice and clean. Only thing is canopy hut was little hot during summer afternoons. Food was delicious. Anaz who took care of us very well.

Amazing property in midst of forest! Its right inside Begur reserve forest... Stayed here for a night on 21 Oct. Found this place while searching for something inside or close yo jungle.. Right from the time of booking I could feel the extensive service.. especially by the property Manager Anaz. He called up previous day of travel to check if we needed lunch and also sent across the directions...The drive to the place was awesome... Bangalore to Mysore and from then through Nagarhole sanctuary.... unfortunately couldn't see anything on the way except some deers... Once you enter Kerala Bavali you need to take a turn onto a small village which is well paved...going past the Kuruva dweep onto your right....then a sharp right turn..the last one km is just jungle road.. unpaved... through paddy fields....Please go with a car which has good ground clearance...the property is at the end of the path... Google directions are very precise... Post a welcome drink...went to the cottage Had booked a deluxe cottage..it was really wonderful. Property is well fenced with a high boundary wall... forest on the back with eletric fencing... Anaz ensured that lunch was ready..a reall.wonderful lunch with chicken and fish.. Dinner was also same..a wonderful buffet. Price of lunch and dinner is really perfect..indeed being remote was surprised with the quality and taste... The staff were always kind and wonderful... Breakfast too... really awesome with soft idlis..puttu and kadala curry.. Will recommend this anytime..just close your eyes to go and enjoy nature.and the feel.of.wild..!! Thanks Anaz for making the stay more wonderful...

Had difficulty reaching the resort. Last one km was mud road and car (Maruthi Suzuki Ciaz) got stuck. With great difficulty we managed to take the car out and parked it at someone's house few kilometers away. We had to depend on the resort folks to arrange a Jeep for us to shuttle between resort and this place whenever we had to go out. Breakfast was good , but the dinner was very basic. Room is small , good for a couple. Bathrooms were not very clean. Overall the stay was just okay.

We stayed in thennal for one night. It's location, food, atmosphere, hospitality and whole staff is simply amazing. Special thanks to Mr Anaz for personal touch, he not only helped with sightseeing but also took care of us (my parents and my kids ) like a family. He allowed late check- in and late check- out without hesitation and gave fresh cut fruits for my kids for the return journey to Mysore. The rooms are also very clean and good. I Would strongly recommend this place to friends and family.

The stay was very calm and peaceful. Go for the buffets. Tasty food. Also good for a workation. Good service, clean rooms with good ambience.

Thennal is a place to get a glimpse of nature. A place rich in birds and wildlife. A place away from the hustle and bustle. A place to experience at least once. The thennal is a place to enjoy the cold and fog. A place to listen to the music of the forest at night.

Very nice place to stay........ Good food and excellent and fast service. Moreover the place is very clean and many places to go near by. There is a bit of a bumpy ride on the way but, everything else is fine.

We have started the journey on 24th night and reached Thennal jungle resort on next day morning. I should mention that I had good experience right from visiting their website til I received my booking confirmation. The host Mr. KAMAL was quite professional and he was like down to earth person with a smiling face of greetings and cool enough to handle the people who comes for peacefulness... Atonce when we reached the resort it was just like entering the paradise. The rooms were just neat and clean. At morning the chirping of birds done wonders to our ears❣ and the foods they provided was too good with kerala special food menus.. We had a visit to nearby river which was like woww experience and well spent moments🤗🤗 then after dinner we opted for Night Safari which was thriller experience and we are lucky enough to see Elephants and bison😍this experience of sitting in the safari and travelling into the jungle was mesmerizing effect.. Overall, we had unforgettable moments to cherish forever for life time in 2021🥰🥰♥️Thank you Kamal sir for all the services you had offered🤗🤗🙏🙏

It was a more than wonderful stay here. I will look forward for staying here sometime in future again for its serene ambience, crescent surrounded by dense forest and of course for having the company of all the nice people there Anaz, Praveen, Fatima and Rezi and the exceptional care they took of us. Superb host, Nice service, attentive staff. Enjoyed the food and hospitality. Environmental friendly and nice location. You can hear the sounds of animals, if you are lucky enough. This is best if you want to live close to nature and relax. Calm, quite and pleasing place. Host arranged the Safari Jeeps and the ride was awesome and we happened to see the elephants, bison and deer. Sea Food is very delicious and all other dishes are well prepared. Myself and My family group stayed at Thennal on First week of Feb, it was very nice and unique experience, Location is really unique, I would like to appreciate the promoters of Thennal in identifying such a Location to built the Asset. Natural surroundings took us relaxing and refreshing mode Food quality was very good and staffs are supportive and flexible, gave us homely feel. Ofcourse Thennal May add up sort of sport or entertainment activities in the camp, will make the stay more joyful.

It was really a wonderful experience in thennal jungle camp. Those who love to have a calm and relaxed mood, definitely this is the best place. Best hospitality I’v ever experienced..one side is paddy fields and remaining all surrounded by forest. Loved it….

Thanks for a wonderful experience Thennal! I recommend this place to someone who wants to disconnect from the hustle of urban life. This place is a treat to bird watchers as the camp premises hosts a good number of western ghat species.

We had made a booking and spend 18K before the pandemic and when Covid started you guys denied to refund the money but asked us to make booking later. Who knew pandemic could go long for 2 years and now when we are asking for reservation they are denying. You should either refund the amount which we paid and we never stayed there or gave us reservation. Pathetic responses ever seen from any resort management.

Calm and quiet place.Located very close to the jungle. Cottages were neat. Food was good.Mr.shahul prepares good dishes as per our requirement. Location is what really liked and the offroad drive was really a different experience. All vehicles can manage to reach till the camp even though i suggest cars with better ground clearance as final 1.5 kms is complete offroad alongside a field.But its worth. Mr.kamal the man incharge is very friendly and cooperative.

Amazing forest stay and best experience. Ambience, hospitality, food and environment amazing 😊 it's a no network zone, so you feel closer to nature and feel relaxed. The breakfast, lunch , evening tea and dinner was amazing too.. Varieties and taste of wayanad and kerala is always added in every dish 😊

It was so wonderful and relaxing place. Its completely covered with nature and greenery.It is a complete pack of adventure , peace and exciting things.Food there was really good . All the staff are so cooperative. Especially organiser Mr Kamal Singh helped us a lot from starting day till the end. We would love to visit again soon.

We had a wonderful experience in Thennal Jungle Camp. We drove from Coorg to Thennal and the drive was beautiful too. Thennal is right at the edge of the jungle & gives you feel of staying in jungle. I spotted deer's, hornbill and shekaru in Thennal. The staff is really helpful, polite and keen to share experiences with you, suggest sightseeing's and make you feel comfortable. We stayed in mudhouse and its completely awesome experience. Rooms are big enough and clean too. Food is really great in Thennal. You should try and eat all meals at Thennal. We did night safari suggested by Thennal people and spotted deers, elephants, bisons, mouse beer, rabbits. It was a great experience. I wish it was close to Pune, I would have made 2 trips a year just to get soaked in Thennal atmosphere. Overall nice people, nice rooms and PEACE !!! Thank you Thennal team for the wonderful experience!
