"The resort offered a decent experience overall. The location was beautiful, and the facilities were well-maintained. However, the service could have been more prompt and attentive. The rooms were comfortable but lacked some modern amenities. The food at the resort's restaurants was satisfactory, but not exceptional. It's a good option for a relaxing getaway, but there is room for improvement."

We went for a 2 day vacation. Pros: Rooms are decent, manager was very flexible with early check in and late check out. Food quality is decent. Quiet place amidst nature locating at hilltop. Service is good. Cons: Not recommended for people going by their personal vehicle. Road to and fro the resort is a risky bumpy ride. Outside food is not allowed. For lunch and dinner prior intimation of 6hrs is required.

Had a worst experience. No kettle for making hot water. Looks not a functioning resort. There is no room boy. No telephone in room. No ac in room. No tv in room. Room also looks not safe for stay. We paid 8000 rs per night cost is high. Off road travel. In wayanad all tourist spots looks off road destinations only. Better to avoid stay at off road resorts it would take pickup and drop extra 1 hour in a day. They start to drop you in morning at 9 am only. Pickup and drop always delay. They provide dinner buffet at 9 pm only. Food price 450 per head quality and menu was very worst not even worth for 100 rs. Breakfast also worst. We need park our vehicle before 3 km from resort. They didn't provide better stay and food for drivers. Our drivers was suffered a lot. Before going to this destination I also read all the negative reviews but skipped those reviews and got suffered and got a worst experience stay then realized those reviews and feedbacks. There is no enough workers to run the resort. Seems no cook for food preparation taste wise bad. Better to avoid this After reply from resort I am typing this: I know, I get reply for this in supporting positive way from resort but what I said was what I faced and felt so try to avoid this resort. they talk and convey like they are best but not at all. Finally FYI my rooms are upgraded by my agency and stayed in your wooden cottage is it just 4k? PLEASE check with your manager again😁 Location : 3 Service : 1 Food : 0 Safety : 0

Awesome stay and beautiful location. Manager Mr. Sunil and all other staffs are good and friendly. Restaurant is not 24/7 since it is in an off road location. But their menu and food quality are good. Worth a stay!

Beautiful location and property, wasted by terrible maintenance. Wouldn't recommend it families, may be ok for bachelors who are looking for some adventure (ride to the property). Even the two ⭐ rating is for the manager sunil and the support staff who work tirelessly and try to put up a decent show.

Park your vehicle, jeep would wait to pick you up for a 30 min ride to the top of the mountain where the resort is located. You could enjoy a morning walk down and up the mountain which takes about an hour or so. The place is lush green and the staff is ever smiling and very helpful. You get to taste good local food. The rooms are spacious and each one has beautiful view of the coffee estate. It has games room, swimming pool and other activities. I've stayed in multiple resorts and homestays in wayanad but none has matched Marmalade Springs yet. The location and the staff is what makes me go there often.

The location and the view is really good. However, need to take 20-30 mins off-roading on rough roads. Room facilities are basic. Won’t get packed drinking bottled water, filtered water available. I had asked for packed drinking water but they didn’t had one.

Wonderful location, homely feel, homely delicious food, excellent service, very friendly staff, lot of fun activities(jeep ride was the best), nice pool... If you feel like staying in a homely place , away from ur home, in Wayanad, Marmalade springs is it😍😍😍 We would love to visit again😍

The manager, Sunil took good care of everything. Very homely experience, lovely people, good food, and a beautiful property. Make sure you pack good hiking shoes. A great plan to disconnect from the world.

Best place to be during the winter season for a nice retreat and natural habitat loving people. The service and the hospitality is very good. We stayed for 3 nights and it was a great place to be. Not too cold nor too hot. A few things that can be improved are the insect control (pest control) which very natural in places like this but can be improved with some alternative measures. Food menu options can be a little more versatile though, they helped out kids with special requests on food. Really good people there. The off road experience to this place is really good but some may find it really uncomfortable since it is really rough.

This Place is an absolute off road adventure junkies Paradise. I absolutely loved driving up to this property. Food - really good. Rooms - spacious Pool - nice Service - good , a few hiccups but it's alright. Property - beautiful Note - no AC ( visit when it isn't hot ) If you don't have a 4x4 - they will provide you with a jeep - need to call them 40 min Prior. Note - No room service in terms of food , so you'll have to tell them in advance for food , i do hope that changes and improves. Will visit again soon. 👍

Stayed here in two different rooms and both were worthy. Manager Mr.Sunil and all other helpers was very friendly and always there to help, not to forget Max (Dog) who was super cute. Remember there is an off-road drive to this property for about 1.5kms but it was one kind of a experience, first you might feel uncomfortable but from next day you will be used to it. My kid enjoyed the ride everytime but i would say it may not be more comfortable for aged person if they are not used to it. Breakfast was with limited option but quality and quantity was good, lunch and dinner was tasty too. There was no family when we stayed for 3 days so it was almost totally peaceful throughout. Chose this place if you like to stay in a peaceful place away from crowd, friendly staff and a scenic location.

We had booked marmlade springs for our new years. The property is breathtakingly beautiful and a great mix of preserving natural beauty and modern amenities. The staff is very hospitable, may not be very fancy, but they are extremely caring. We were 5 families that had 10 adults and 11 kids. Everyone has come back with a memorable experience. Thank you for the lovely time and hospitality. Anyone who is looking for a place that is not costly and right there amidst the nature, this is the place to go.

Adventurous. The trek from the road up to hotel is adventurous and scary. No road at all. Hotel has arranged its own pickup from the nearest road in jeeps which are four wheel drive. Only their trained drivers can drive these jeeps. Mr Sunil Varghese, the manager, is very polite, helpful and ready to serve at any time. Once in a life time experience.

In the beginning I had second thoughts of booking this place but it turns out to be a bestest place to stay at wayanad.. Ambience at its best. This place is suitable for family as well as couples. Best part of this resort is its located on top of the hill they will provide free jeep ride to reach the property. Parking is also available. Manager and everyone will take care of you like a family. They have their own kitchen which is best for everyone including kids. Food was awesome. Must try camp fire. Rooms are clean and the view from the rooms is also awesome.. They also have a private trekking spot which is also good. Over all its 100/100.DO NOT MISS!

You have to park your vehicles, roadside and travel 2 km inside from parking place by their jeep which takes 25 minutes to reach Resort. This 2 km road going to resort is in very very bad condition. Jeep jumps up and down both side because of bad condition of road. There's possibility of toppling of Jeep if driver is not alert. Very risky and dangerous to travel on this route. Resort is in green surroundings with coffee plantation. It's a secluded quiet place. But cleanliness is not maintained. You will get free ordinary breakfast after 9 am. Chargeable lunch, dinner only with 6 hours advance intimation. It's not worth for more than ₹2000 per night. Double bed without head rest. Cleaning and changing not done daily. Staff without uniform. Very limited facilities. Shabby condition of surrounding area. Continous flow of hot water not available because of limited capacity of geyser. It's suitable only for groups or solo travelers. Not recommended for families. Overall it's not managed well.

Marmelade Springs was one of the most exciting stays I’ve ever had. Travelled from Mumbai and stayed there for 5 nights through a rainy week and it’s everything you need in a break away from the everyday. Beautiful property, surreal views, homely food, super cooperative staff (especially Sunil, the manager who’s always there for you) and the cutest resort dog named Max. It’s right in the middle of nature so just expect it to be a little adventurous, but that’s the exact reason to go there. Would totally recommend it for anyone who needs to relax, rethink and reset.

Marmalade Springs is a beautiful resort in Wayanad with a lovely property and clean rooms. We spent over 5 days there and didn't get enough of it. The manager, Mr. Sunil, was very kind and helpful throughout. He guided us for our treks and adventures outside of the property as well. Max, the adorable property dog, joined us on our trek as well. The food was simple and very tasty. We enjoyed all our meals there. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a few days to unwind and spend time in nature.

I don't know why anyone has mentioned about the rough off road to this resort. 1) I would never recommend this resort to family vacation because the off road Jeep travel to resort for 2 km is like hell for kids and elderly. 2) This resort has no other amenities as mentioned: Table tennis damaged, swimming pool full chlorine, play area damaged. 3) Camp fire will be arranged only if you ask, that too timing is decided by visitors and not management. Only good thing about this resort is the calm place and friendly service persons.

You will get a thrilling experience reaching the resort and a mesmerizing experience from the rooms. Located at the top of the hill the resort provides the best experience for the view from your rooms and for me the wonderful experience was from the jeep drive to the resort. The room, views, food, hospitality everything was great. The morning view was mind blowing.

We stayed in the property for 2 nights and 3 days, it was a memorable trip for us. We enjoyed the off road jeep ride which would be roughly 15-20 mins. Breakfast was too good. The location of the property was ultimate, the staff who was there were very polite and supportive. I would recommend the property to all who are adventure freak.

    1) Room- I paid 5000 rs a night and got a cottage room that did not even have an air conditioner, a refrigerator or even a hair dryer. Infact even the costliest room- tree house room (i.e.12,500 rs a night doesn’t get an ac itseems), despite temperatures hitting 30 plus degrees regularly in summer. One point- rooms were clean. 2) Dining area- No ac or a fan in the dinner area, u will be profusely sweating and eating (it’s a torture). 3) Facilities- This is not a resort but just an coffee estate house with close to 0 facilities, not even a basic electric buggy vehicle to go around the resort. Going from room to dining area is about a 100 steps upside hill, literally a trek, because there is no vehicle to take u up. Children’s play area or the indoor games room, add another 25 steps to it and make it 125 steps. If u want to lose weight this is the place for u. 4) Swimming pool- It is a joke, it is so small that u can call it family size bath tub. 5) Food- Apparently kitchen is closed since the pandemic breakout, they get food from a caterer. No fancy spreads or a buffet, basic Kerala food and nothing else, no Chinese, North India, Udupi, Andhra or even Chettinad style food. Just select 1 dish out of the 2 options he gives, close ur mind/heart, 2 minutes silence for your taste buds and eat. Your vacation is gone. 6) Who should/shouldn't go to this place- Only for Keralites, because they give u only Kerala food. This place is not for urbanites like me to go, because there is nothing inside and I forced myself to go out for sightseeing (though I wen there to stay and relax), which is another off road experience of 2 plus kms u have to take every time u enter and exit the resort, I went in healthy and have walked out with body pains. This place is good for rich and retired senior citizens, who prefer to sit in the middle of coffee estates with big trees, where they can read books for weeks together and blow out their money. 7) Manager Mr. Sunil- He goes all out to his best possible extent to make u feel comfortable, I gave 2 stars for this estate house only because of him. This place is running bcoz of 3 reasons: a) Saudi returnees who like to see trees and greenery and don’t care of money or facilities. b) Retired rich people. c) Manager Mr. Sunil. I’m sorry to say this, I lost trust on reviews, this place has a 4 plus rating, I cant think of giving more than 2 stars given the extreme pricing and 0 facilities, that too only and only because of the manager Mr. Sunil, who works eccentrically hard to try and keep guests happy. Editing my review as I forgot 2 more points: 1) A 2 litre mineral water was kept in the room, I was surprised to see such a big bottle, later I realized that these mineral water bottles were manually filled by the staff and not sealed fresh ones. It was shocking, but helpless. 2) There is no water heater kettle also, no coffee/tea/green tea instant sachets also available in the rooms. It's extremely odd, but again helpless.

Sunil and Ajnesh .. really helped us throughout our stay . The place is well maintained and breakfast was damn tasty. The property is neat and clean . They are a phone call away . It is away from the city .. so make sure you also adjust a little with things and all . We had no issues throughout our stay . Will definitely recommend and visit again

Ambiance was good, but the staff lacked professionalism, they don't value the time of the guests. We had to wait 1 hr for checkin and 1.5 hrs for checkout. If you don't have 4wd then you have to park the vehicle 2 km down the road and wait for the resort vehicle to assist, which takes forever. Also the resort offers no accommodation for the drivers accompanying you. Only pro we can highlight from our stay is the ambiance and the offroad experience.

This an offbeat property set within the lush green of a coffee plantation. The nearest town is Kalpetta. Right from landing at Kalpetta, the manager of the property, Mr.Sunil would be in touch, helping you reach the property. They have a pickup jeep from the parking space to the property. Pros: Recluse retreat. Cottages are placed with an ambient distance ensuring privacy. Well maintained property with hygienic amenities provided for. Amazing staff. Everyone is approachable and helpful. Cons: The jeep ride through the plantation could be challenging to the elderly. The food options are limited. However, everything served is fresh and has a homely flavour to it. I would love to visit them again.

Excellent service and hospitality by ajneesh and sunil. The place is clean and the food served is excellent. They went out of their way to provide some special food items for us on special request. The cottage is clean and the room is spacious. The staff is very helpful, always smiling we even went on a trek to the caves andthe ride in the jeep from the car parking to the resort was a memorable one

The property is beautiful. We stayed in a wooden cottage with an amazing view of the valley in front of us. You can spend hours sitting outside enjoying nature. Very well managed by Mr Sunil who is omnipresent, no matter what the ask. They are operating with a lean workforce post pandemic, but Sunil and team did more than their best to accommodate every request the guests had. Food was quite average though. Generally the quality of food in such serene stays in Kerala is usually quite good. But I guess they were struggling with so many guests onboard. But they made some custom snacks for us, which was quite yummy. Overall, highly recommended. Stay for 2-3 nights to truly experience Wayanad. Lots of nice places to see around, and great places to eat.

We had a wonderful time here, starting off with an amazing 4x4 off-road experience to the friendly and courteous staff. It’s an experience you should never miss , Rooms are super clean and well maintained. Ajnas was very responsive and made sure we got everything we asked for. Thank you for all the staff for making our trip a memorable one ❤️
