The place offers basic rooms, great service, friendly staff and is very close to Karapuzha Dam. 🟡 𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐦𝐬 🛋️ The rooms are pretty basic, a bed, a small table and 2 chairs, a cupboard and a small wall mounted shelf. There is also a. Functioning TV and a wall mounted fan. I liked that a window and the air vents are net protected. We didn't have any issues of bugs/insects getting in the room. There is no elevator, so be sure to opt for the ground floor rooms if you have difficulty climbing stairs. The rooms have no numbers, rather they have names of flowers. We stayed at Lotus. 🟢 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦𝐬 🚻 The bathrooms are clean and they have hot water. 🟢 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐟𝐟/𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 🧑‍💼👩‍💼 The service is one of the highlights here. The owner/manager Dr. Tony is quite friendly and supportive. He provided us with a travel plan containing a list of places we can visit at Wayanad. The caretaker and his family; Mr. Mahendar, his wife Durga and their daughter Rajini and her baby sister are all very polite and humble. They wasted no time in helping us out when we needed something. Their behaviour and cooperation made the stay alot better for us. 🟢 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧📍 It is located very near to Karapuzha Dam. Its not even a Km distance from the place which is a great thing, we can walk and visit the dam. 🟢 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 🅿️ Open parking space is available. We parked a Tempo Traveller here with ease. 🟡 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 🍱 They arrange food if we inform them beforehand. For dinner we tried Chappathi and Chicken curry, which was good. For breakfast we tired Appam, Egg and Veg curry. We didn't like it. 🟡 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐞 🔥 They offer a Campfire service and there is enough area for a group of peope to dance around. Sadly, they don't really have good songs (DJ or Dance songs to be precise). So make note to have a playlist with you to make the best of the Campfire 🙂 🔴 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐫- Regarding the rooms, I deeply felt the need for some bed side cabinets, a bigger table, some hangars in the cupboard and another table/bag desk to keep some luggage. Regarding the Campfire, it would be alot better if you kept some playlists in hand. Please consider constructing a gate for the property. We would feel also better knowing that the main road to the compound is locked and secure.

Located nearby Karapuzha dam. Rooms are great, the latches could work fine that was the only issue. We stayed for few hours under gostays and the service was good.

Don’t trust reviews here with good ratings. The rooms are in 1. Pathetic condition 2. More cockroaches 3. Had even small scorpion in bathroom 4. Damaged bathroom door 5. Unclean beds I strongly don’t recommend this place.

We lodged at a villa within the hotel, which was a pleasant choice. The manager provided excellent assistance and offered valuable guidance. The staff was attentive and efficient.

Location is perfect if you want to be away from hustle from city. Only problem we faced is food availability and window nets was missing, we were not able to open windows and restrict the insects.

This is a Wonderful place to stay for Couples, Family and Friends in Wayanad. It is near a few sight seeing places and rooms are very good. They also have an Authentic Ayurvedic Centre attached to the Property and many Locals, Tourist and International Tourists come here for various Therapies and Treatments. The Manager Mr. Tony was very very friendly and knowledgeable. He guided us on both days on visiting the most importance places in and around Wayanad. Please speak to Mr. Tony if you have a booking here and I am sure he will help and guide you with your entire trip. The rooms were very good with all facilities. Also this place has free parking for all their guests.

Stayed there for 4 nights. Fabulous stay with good service. A total of 3 staffs were there and all of them were very helpful. They guided to various locations and tourist places in wayanad with precise information about the timings and restrictions. Because of such crisp guidelines we were able to visit almost all places of importance in the district. Highly recommended place if you love a calm serene atmosphere and if you are a firSt timer in wayanad. Really felt very happy around them. Thankyou gooseberry and the staffs. 😊

Very pleasant stay with peaceful ambience hot water available 24/7 best part is tony sir wil come in the night and wil suggest the best places one can visit during the period. He is also a doctor and gave me treatment and proper guidance throughout my vacation and also helped on the way in finding good places. Best place to visit with family. Highly recommend this place. If u r having own vehicle den stay here for best relaxation. U need to pack the food or order from near by hotel as they have only accomodation

This property is nearer to karappuzha dam . very clean and neat room and spacious bathroom.

Had a great experience here for a combine of 4 days. Spacious and clean rooms. There is greenery in the surroundings. Lots of trees and it makes a great scenery for living. The staffs are friendly and very helpful in everything. It is in a good location as well. Ayurvedic spa is also available along with basic facilities such as parking. Here you will get proper travel assistance so you don't have to worry about the places you want to visit. Overall, it's a great place to stay. If you want to stay in Wayanad then I definitely recommend you to stay here in Gooseberry Retreats, you will have a great time.

Tony sir was absolutely helpful and kind during our stay. He made sure that we are comfortable throughout and the property is very near to karapuzha dam which hosts multiple adventure activities.
