It might be over-hyped. One may visit here just randomly. Nothing much to see. There is a small recreational park for kids. One may sit and relax in the hall and meditate for sometime. Afternoons are the worst time to visit this place due to scorching amount of heat, specially in summers. Anyway, the heat is all time throughout the year. One may visit the place early in the morning or late evening. You may enjoy some foods like samosa chat and other snacks. They have quite a few juice and tea/coffee joints. Please wear socks to save your feet from burning on the marble floor due to the heat.

Awesome place and absolutely serene. Located away from the city, perfect place for a one day outing for everyone including kids. Good walking area my daughter loved spending time there and it has good parking area as well. @Reception we get the catalogs of different sessions offered by the aashram and the volunteers there even provide details on availability and how to participate in those sessions.

Best place to relax for the weekend, they offer Bus tour and Food for complimentary. The food provided was so tasty and the food is provided in a buffet type where one can eat as much as they need. The bus tour management was not great as we registered for the bus tour for 11AM but the bus arrived at 11:30AM. Senior citizens were struggling to find a place to wait for the bus. The bus was a school bus, which is difficult to sit for tall people. Still the bus tour is worth as you'll be able to roam around few temples and ayurvedic hospital run by AOL. Overall it was a good experience. FOOD WAS BEST AND TASTY!!!!

Nice place to visit for a day out and learn about basics of meditation. Only concern is they have just one bus at 11am and again at 2pm for ashram tour which is too less for a Sunday I guess many people couldn't see it as it's huge and can't be done by walk.Had lunch at ashram it was very tasty. Thanks

Excellent place for yoga and meditation. Easily identifiable place on the Mysuru road. Lots of bus, auto and taxi facilities from Bangalore station and bus station and air port. Nice car parking. Inside you can get juice, snacks etc but not coffee and tea. Still they are doing development work. Very neat and clean. Inside the meditation centre programs are going g often. Very crowded on week ends. Every place you can have guiding boards. Very calm and serene atmosphere.

It is a tourist spot, an amazing place to hangout! There are so many things to visit here. We start with a fountain, where you can see fishes in the artificial pond and ducks. Moving ahead there are shops where we can buy clothes, idols, items for worship, jewellery by the art of living foundation. The vishalakshi mantap is the centre of attraction, a large and beautiful hall where we can meditate. The food here is free! The kitchen is open from 12.30 to 2.30 for lunch. There are several programs you can enroll to, i would recommend you to come here with family and check out their programs. They also have good accomodation facilities.

This is a must visit place for those who follow a spiritual path/ practice meditation and yoga as well. One can have a day visit here and go through their demo meditation sessions. We have several places to meditate inside this centre like the main hall or outdoor amphitheater. Gardeners have done an exceptional job in maintaining greenery throughout this centre. Meals are provided for all the visitors/employees on the campus. Plenty of parking space are available for both 4 wheelers and 2 wheelers. It has also some cafeteria, cloth shopping center and souvenirs shops. Ayurvedic treatments are also provided inside the campus.

Absolutely serene. Located away from the city, perfect place for a peaceful solitary moment. Everyone's so clam there. Good walking area, parking as well, there are small chai or coffee, juice stalls. There is a stay over night option as well, but you need to be a part of an on-going event. Reception has the catalogs on availability and how to participate in those sessions.

AOL International center is very near from my residence and we went there to visit the ashram but unfortunately due to COVID, all other buildings within the premises were closed barring the Vishalakshi Mantap. The place is calm and peaceful where you can meditate, relax yourself and relieve yourself of stress/tension. There was also a quick talk on Sudarshan Kriya by one of their instructors and also a 15 minute meditation. The cherry on the cake was while we were about to exit the place, we could see Guruji(Sri Sri Ravishankar) from a very close distance. Overall, a very nice place to be with your family.

Very nice place to visit with the family and for the people who wish to meditate peacefully in the midst of lush green trees. The center has huge open spaces with lot of greenery around. It has numerous vedic shops and healing centers as well. It also constitutes a huge food place where food is provided to the customers free of cost. Apart from the parking charges, there is literally nothing you have to pay to visit this beautiful place.

This place is open on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) only. Not sure why, it may be due to COVID guidelines. Lot of parking place is available for both 2 wheeler and 4 wheeleers. Parking fee for 2 wheeleers is 10 rupees. Morning 8 AM it opens but till 11 AM or 11.30 AM nobody will be there, means very very very less people come. People starts coming after 11 AM or 11.30AM onwards. Afternoon and evening lot of people will come. There are many good things: Place is good, peaceful and silent. Greenary everywhere, big place where one can spend whole day with family. Paid shuttle vehicle is there for people to explore the place inside especially for needy people. There is one Cafe Vishala where food is available and cafe is clean and neat. Children play area is there, where childresn can play. Washrooms are ok and good. There are many bad things: Cafe Vishala is not having variety in breakfast, only 2 - 3 items are available like dosa, idli vada etc. Had Masala Dosa for break fast, cost was 60 rupees but it was not hot, not tasty. Tastewise and quality wise food is not that much good. It is a self service hotel. Had Jeera Rice (120 rupees without any curd or salad) and Aloo Parota (100 rupees for 2) for lunch where both items are average in quality. Menu in the Cafe is not having South Indian food, south meals also not available for lunch but North indian meals is available. Inside the campus there are direction boards which shows direction to Annadana Dining Hall but it is not allowed for public people to enter. Looks like lunch is not there for visitors but this need to be mentioned in the direction boards. Observed that many visitors goes near Annadana Dining Hall and security will send them back. If lunch is not there for visitors then direction board should be removed as members will be already knowing the route. Another bad thing is none of the staff or security people knows Kannada, all are speaking in Hindi only. Many do not understand Kannada also. Some of the security people does not know about the place itself, if we ask any information/direction/route they will not be knowing. Drinking water is kept nearer to hand wash. People use drinking water for hand wash also, do not feel to drink the water from there. Overall experience in this place is average.

Well I visited this place last year too, but was not able to enter as they closed all the entrance due to Pandemic. people there are extreme humble and sweet. Hygiene was maintained everywhere. Some people were not following the mask protocol (visitors) and also there are some great in-store shopping places. They offer everything. Handmade kurtis and all. Some of the places are still closed. But due to Pandemic it wasn't much crowded. Stay safe and do visit this place. The mediation hall is very peaceful. 🕊️

One of the most amazing places I've traveled to thus far. The program offered at this ashram enriched my life tremendously and really feel much more positive and peaceful. The place is also very suitable for day visit and exporting the different sight with the free bus tour. Also u can attend a introduction into mediation at the information center If you like to make a real difference I can highly recommend doing the happiness program that happens every Friday to Sunday

A good place for people to meditate.. Don't go if you are going with the expectation of sight seeing. The place is peaceful and huge but there isn't any sight seeing places. You'll need a shuttle to commute from one place to another within the premises. The shuttles are free of cost and the staff is very kind. The are information centred every where in the premises. There are cafes to eat and drink but everything is very pricey.... There are also shopping outlets selling outrageously priced products.... Mostly foreigners buy things from those stores. The place will be a paradise for people into meditation yoga etc

Do not go with this reviews. I have experienced in my life that art of living destroy family bonds. It destroyed my own family life when my partner is member of this group. It taught wrong message to each individual mind… you do meditation and yoga all will be fine and your individual happiness only important and not your family. Such program will help each individual to resolve any issue in his/her family life. But unfortunately they will more interest how to pull you in more programs so that they can make money. Even if you reach for any help that your family life is destroying...as your partner more into art of living and leaving family behind, art of living will never care. So boys and girls... if you are married… stay away from this art of living.

Art of Living, Kanakapura Road A good place for one day trip. As soon as you enter, you will see a big amphitheater kind of thing with fountain pipes. Seems like it will be turned on when Swamiji is at the ashram. As you walk down, you will reach the reception office. They provide bus tours covering the entire campus. You can check the availability and book the tour. Check for the timings and promptly be there as it is offered on a first come first serve basis only though you have a booking. On the bus tour, you will get to see Goshala, Vedas teaching place, the place where Swamji resides, and the bus also takes you to the other side of the road covering the Ayurveda hospital and Ayurveda education center. Also, there's a hall next to the reception where they show meditation-related things on the big screen. As you walk down further from the reception, you will see a Ganesha temple and a very huge mediation hall. The architecture of the meditation hall is mesmerizingly beautiful. The hall is surrounded by lush greenery on either side. Mediate for a few minutes and just circumvent the hall (both inside and outside). The views bring solace to your mind. On the opposite side of the mediation hall, there's a very big ground covered with green. We saw people playing football and badminton. You also have anadhanam within the campus where you will be offered free food. There is a store from where you can purchase devotional-related items. Also, there are several eatery options on campus. There are minivans operating that help people navigate within the campus. On your way back to Bangalore (on the Kanakapura road) you can also visit Guruvayur temple and Pyramid Valley International, if you have time.

This place is very beautiful especially during the night because of the lights around. Overall, you can meditate in the hall which is very huge and there is lots of space around there as well. There is lots of crowd yet people are disciplined and quiet and trying to find peace. The building is made of marbles and it was a giant infra which could be compared to the petals of the lotus.

Visited yesterday, overall all peaceful place but more focus is on selling the products.. one thing which I must appreciate they don’t force you to donate anywhere which now a days you see probably in all the religious places, I also noticed people were being served free food… loved the greeneries around… cleanliness is maintained.. little difficult for old people to walk as there are lots of ups. Down but I personally loved the place.

The Art of Living International headquarters - Bangalore Ashram, located 21 km south of Bangalore in rural Karnataka, southern India was built in 1986. Blending the old and the new, this ashram is a living testimony of all that The Art of Living stands for. Apart from enjoying meditative walks and exploring the ashram, one can attend numerous residential courses at the Ashram each week: from a Basic Course that introduces one to the world renowned Sudarshan Kriya to an Advanced Course that gives one a chance to go deeper within oneself. Of course, one cannot miss the wired evening Satsang that has revolutionized the meaning of satsang for most youngsters who sing, dance and meditate to songs in praise of the various gods and oddesses. Experience the humble satisfaction that comes from doing Seva (voluntary work) at the ashram, from serving food in the kitchen to sweeping and mopping the premise and most importantly, taking responsibility for this wonderful space that’s our home. No entry fee Time required - 1 hour Enough parking for private vehicles available

None of the numbers connect and there is no way to find alternative numbers. Basic information is missing. Mailboxes are unmanned. Gurudev is working tirelessly to connect people whereas there are many in Ashram or Seniors who are in authoritative position say it is not my responsibility. Funny part they don’t even know whose responsibility is it. I can name names but what is the point? All they could do is repeat the basic course and remind themselves that is responsibility is not given it is taken. Another thing if they can’t do good then at least they could not sitmatize the good that has been done. What I know is one doesn’t need to know everything, however, one can surely say that I don’t have the answer now and will get back to you. Later is also important.

The development is rapid, lots of greenery, well maintained, the products are also very good, the charity is genuine. They organise events very well and almost all are success. But the clothes are bit too costly never mind

The Art of Living is a religious and spiritual residence that was founded by the Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in 1981 and constructed in 1986 near the Bangalore of Karnataka. It is an abode for those seeking solace and for gaining the vehemence required to face the unanticipated. This wellness centre is situated 21 kms from Bangalore atop the Panchagiri hills. The Art of Living offers quite a huge number of residential courses for newcomers as well as those who are experienced. The main campus has a five tiered meditation hall known as the Vishalakshi Mantap, a multi-specialty Ayurveda hospital which also carries out scientific studies and research work on its own, the Sri Sri Gurukul which is spread over an expanse of 7 acres and is divided into – Agama and Veda, a Goshala for preserving indigenous breeds of cows, the Annapurna Kitchen that produces up to 40000 meals per day with the help of solar panels, the Radha Kunj which consists of a lily pond and a mantap and the open-air auditorium, the Semura Mantap. The Agama Pathshala provides training of five years in the fields of music, rituals, Dravidian style Vedic chantings, Vedic mathematics, meditation and yoga. General knowledge and computer aptitude are also taught to the students. The Art of Living Ashram has a multitude of programs which includes Beginners programs, Advanced programs, Kids & teens programs and the Basic Course. The courses offer meditation and yoga to de-stress themselves and achieve their fullest potential. Participants also learn new skills and gain wisdom to enhance their relationships. The evening Satsang is a must watch for visitors as it fills the mind with utmost peace and harmony. Those who engage in the Seva also experience a sense of satisfaction and responsibility. The Seva refers to the voluntary work that participants enrolled in the ashram take up, which ranges from preparing food and cleaning the Annapurna Kitchen to conducting offerings and prayers for the Gods and Goddesses. Festivities are celebrated with energy and enthusiasm in the campus of The Art of Living. Mahashivratri, Gurupuja, Chaitra Navratri and Shivratri are some of the festivals that are celebrated in the house. All those who enter the ashram usually have a lot of problems and issues but while leaving they leave behind all their worries; such is the magic of The Art of Living.

The area was very calm and composed. The bus tour was heavily disappointed. They have arranged a school bus which can accommodate kids. The seats were so small which can accommodate 3 + 2 kids only in a row. In that they are asking all adults to accommodate in a similar way. I don't know how that's possible? Either they should arrange extra buses or should limit the people to accommodate. Very worst bus arrangements. The guide is speaking only in Hindi. The visitors who don't know hindi how will they understand? The guide should give information in both Hindi and English.
