I recently had a positive experience at Aster MIMS Hospital in Calicut. The medical staff was attentive, and the facilities were well-maintained. The level of care provided was commendable, and the overall atmosphere was reassuring. For new patient registration required for one time admission with 100 rupees. Juice and restaurants are available inside. Many famous restaurants are nearby with walkable distance like kuttichira biriyani, salkara restaurant.. Parking is very difficult, I cannot able to find it and parked pay at nearest one. I would recommend it for those seeking quality healthcare in the area.

Do not recommend this hospital for those who care for their health n money. May not be true for other's cases and I am not generalising all the doctors here. From experience, came to understand that here, a patient is considered like a machine. You go there with your machine that is not working well. There are mechanics there waiting to troubleshoot it, who reminds you of some marketing executives who desperately attempt to meet their target sales, do costly repairs and gives you huge bill and dead machine back . As here, the machine is your most beloved one, thinking not much, for the love of your loved one and in despair, you trust their brand name and agree to what they suggest. Unnecessary and improper treatment procedures, costlier compared to other better hospitals in the city empty fortune of your lifetime and endanger your beloved's life further. - Not generalising. All from our experience. The patient who underwent treatment here went bedridden (including 2 months in ventillator and ICU in another hospital to save life) for 8 months, paralyzed, and finally surrendered to death, not by the illness for which he was admitted to MIMS, but because of the improper treatments and infection caused by the negligence.

I am very disappointed with MIMS Calicut since we heard that this hospital is offering great treatment. I took my mother to MIMS, she was suffering with heavy pain.Doctors never asked or listen the patient and they did lot of tests and MRI's, but after 3 days of admitting in the hospital and these tests, doctors were not able to diagnose the problem, when bystander asked the details to the doctor, he replied in such a pathetic way and words to the patients daughter.such a disgrace to the hospital. Am nt talking about the rest of the nurses. Some are good...Then... The cleaning department... They must have a proper time as they are disturbing not only the bystanders but also the poor patients. While knocking the door again and again because of the so called different management,it makes us feel irritated. Main drawback i felt personally was during discharge moment... I was d only bystander 0f my husband... And the discharge summary report is only given wen we pay our complete bill downwards and again getting back to the upper floor. Our room was in second floor and i had to leave him alone there to pay those bills. Due to the current pandemic situation, only 1 or 2 bystanders is allowed. So i was feeling very bad of making him stand and waiting me for some support as he had a minor surgery. It should be better if the discharge billing section is undertaking all those summary reports along with the Duty nurse. They also forgot to gave few reports also. And we took them by the next appointment day. Gastro specialist... Dr. Deepak Madhu is only focused on his system screen for prescribing the tablets. Nothing more to ask or talk. Giving high priced tablets.Intaking those tablets made me other issues. For telecommunication, we called 30 times.. They didn't made any response. Finally we got extension department and booked appointment. 1 star for your clean & hygiene!!! Nothing more.. Nothing else.

The prayer room is very poorly maintained. It's sad that it's a well known hospital like "mims". Hope the dirty carpet and cramped space is fixed soon.

Today my wife consulted Dr. Chandramukhi counsellor at MIMS. She was in a hurry and didn't give proper advice. She referred to another Doctor only for prescribing a tablet . Total cost- regn 100, consultation 400 + 400, debriefing 610. Total Rs.1510. Complete disaster. Now we need to consult another counsellor to recover from this financial loss.

Visted this hospital on 01/01/2022. My experience at the reception and doctor were quite pleasant. But at the testing lab, the nurse who took my blood sample seemed inexperienced. Even after 3 days I still have blood clot on my arm. This has never happened to me before. I can understand if the blood clot stayed for few hours to at most a day. But 3 days is too long a period. This just shows how inexperienced the staff who took this was. Did not expect this at a place like Aster MIMS which has such a huge brand name.

I had one of the best experiences during my Brother's Surgery. The paper work was taken care of by the hospital staff and the check in was really smooth, thanks to PROs they kept us posted with all the required formalities and made sure, the patient was admitted without any issues. The room was very clean and tidy and so was the washroom. The nurses were very cordial and polite. They were very patient and helpful with all our queries. We were updated timely regarding the surgery time and post the surgery, there was multiple visit from the doctors, nurses and the Physiotherapy department, to check if was recovering well.

I had to spend 3-4 days at mims Hospital for a treatment. The medical staff, the housekeeping staff, supervisors, everyone went out of their way in making us feel comfortable. The room was well kept with minimal but essential amenities, the housekeeping staff were extremely kind and kept checking regularly.The food menu has ample options and was also served in the rooms timely. The doctor and the nursing staff ensured very clear communication to keep us well informed and to eliminate anxieties. All the labs are well equipped and all the tests were done in the hospital itself. The billing and insurance departments also supported in making the processes hastle free. But no doctors came for rounds after he has been shifted to room till late night 10:45 pm. Normally in any hospital, one duty doctor comes for rounds to give proper instructions about what to do. One of the best hospital in kozhikode , it's located near mini bypass , there's a paid parking available in the hospital backside , but it's gets fill up early , also there's a parking ground outside near by. Hospital usually crowded so takes ample time for the consulations.theres a cafeteria in ground-floor and food is good. hospital has all specialities and booking can be done by calling the numbers.

Everyday, they will ask you to pay and you will have refund at the time of discharge (I had). We feel that the hospital management does not trust us.

That time they gave a injection to her for supress the immunity and a possibility to get fast infection. So i convey it to them but from hospital side they told compare others she have less priority this only due to they did not have suffient rooms for serving)

I had one of the best experiences during my Brother's Surgery. The paper work was taken care of by the hospital staff and the check in was really smooth, thanks to PROs they kept us posted with all the required formalities and made sure, the patient was admitted without any issues. The room was very clean and tidy and so was the washroom. The nurses were very cordial and polite. They were very patient and helpful with all our queries. We were updated timely regarding the surgery time and post the surgery, there was multiple visit from the doctors, nurses and the Physiotherapy department, to check if was recovering well. 1

My father was recently admitted to the oncology ward at mims hospital and I was very impressed with the nursing staff. The nurses were kind and attentive, and they were always available to answer any questions or address any concerns. They clearly took a lot of pride in their work and went above and beyond to make sure my father received the best possible care. Travelling from the U.K I visited the Aster MIMMs hospital in Kerala with my wife recently to visit a friend of mine who was recovering from a recent operation. Whilst there my wife and I decided to take the opportunity to have our own health checks completed. The nursing team, doctors and staff were all excellent and it was a privilege to have been treated in such comfortable surroundings. In particular a special mention must go to Shilpa! She looked after us from start to finish. Well equipped hospital with advanced infrastructure. However there is still room for lots of improvement. For instance, some doctors need to be professional and friendly with the patients. A few of them don't have even the patience to explain in detail about a procedure or surgery, where as it is mandatory in many countries. Need to train them about hospitality. If not, these doctors can deface the hospital. If asked by the management, I can name a few of them for the betterment only.

Recently my wife undergone the TKR (Total Knee Replacement) surgery. The services from Diagnosing and surgery till discharge was excellent. I appreciate the Doctor(s) and the whole Nursing team for their commitment and quality of treatment provided to the in-patient.

Spend three days in hospital. System seems to be working very efficient, especially MDT approach of medical professionals. Very fast service, all staff appeared to be very approachable. However the general infection control practices across the disciplines found to be very poor and concerning. Requested to meet the person in charge of infection control on different occasions but did not manage to meet. They have got a very good system in place amping doctors and nurses which needs to be appreciated.
