It's a beautiful and perfect trekking spot in Wayanad. It's a must visit place for all trek lovers. They allow only 200 people in a day so you have to be there before 5am as the tokens get sold very fast. The trek starts around 7am.The trek is not an easy one, it's a moderate difficult trek. Also there are guides to help you throughout the trek. The view from the Peak is just fantabulous.. Worth every difficulty you faced while climbing. The heart shaped lake is so beautiful to watch. The mountain is covered in grass and so lovely to watch. The picturesque view from the mountain is mesmerizing. You get to see different shades of the sky while trekking. Do visit if you enjoy trekking.. It's a trek spot and not a sight seeing spot...

Killing view. It's better to Reach there before 4am. Only 200 people will be allowed per day. Once you reach there 1st you need to take a token. And they will start issuing tickets from 7am in the token order. Kindly carry a bottle of water that too sealed by them by giving a caution deposit of 50rs which is fully refundable. Please Don't litter. And don't carry bluetooth speakers or any items that irritates the creatures inside the peak. AND DON'T CARRY ANY ALCOHOL OR SMOKING SUBSTANCES.It is strictly prohibited. Don't miss any chance to visit this mesmerizing view in our Chembra peak. You'll experience an inner peace after reaching the top. As I got the 1st token it was really exciting to reach there. So that there were no one in the route except the guides in some particular points.

Chembra hill situated at Wayanad stands 2100 m above sea level, it is the highest peak in Wayanad district and is one of the best trekking spots. The mountain and the surrounding area is lush green and a treat to nature lovers. I love trekking and this was one of my favourite for many reasons. Hiked the mountain few years back with my father, a sudden decision to travel to Wayanad and on our way we did not know if we could even go up the beautiful mountain. Dad and I haven't hiked together since and so it makes it special. The mountain has exotic and rare species of flora and fauna and tall grass all the way up on the trail. The climb to the top is with the help of guides and since they are from the area, they guided us to the top safely. There weren't many people when we hiked, so it was peaceful and the guides were free to show us around. They showed us the whole of Wayanad from the top and it was mesmerising and beautiful. There is a bit of off roading at first to reach the office where the entry fee has to be paid and to the parking area. There is no road as such and the path has rocks all over, so make sure you drive slow and not damage your vehicle. I am not sure if the road is better now! After you reach the parking area, you need to walk for 15-20 minutes through a tea estate to reach the foothill where the climb begins. The walk is really beautiful and a treat for photographers and nature lovers. Once you reach the foothill, there is a two storey watch tower, with a decent view. From this point we are assigned to a guide and we start the climb. It is a good climb to the top and best way to the top is not to rush yourself, keep a steady pace with frequent breaks. All they way to the top you will see natural springs and do make sure you take water with you and more importantly don't throw plastic bottles that you carry. It is a non smoking area, since forest fires are very common, please avoid smoking. As you start climbing to the top, the view gets better and better. The best spot up top is the heart shaped pond which is one of a kind. Even though we are allowed to hike to the top of chembra, we do not really go to the top most point. We are only allowed to climb up to certain point and you can see that the top point of the chembra peak is even further up and is inaccessible to people as it is dangerous. Near to the lake we spotted an animal skulls too, you can see it in the pictures uploaded. We were told that the pond was used by animals. Even though we forgot to carry water, the guides got us water from a natural stream and it was the best water I ever had. We were asked not to follow the guides to the stream as the path was dangerous and they din't want people to go there. Had a great time with dad, made few new friends and after few hours of peaceful time with nature, enjoying the cool breeze and a few snaps from top we slowly trekked down the mountain and drove back home.

We had an amazing time here! The trekking is not easy, I would say that it is moderate. The place was very clean, no trash along the way. The charges for trekking were β‚Ή1770 for 10 people. That amount is fixed for any number of people upto 10. You will not find any food stalls after this point. Opening time is 7AM. You can also visit the sightseeing point, which is β‚Ή25 and not really tough to reach.

It is a 3km hike. Best time to visit is during the winter months. You can literally be surrounded by clouds. The hike difficulty is moderate-high. The only downside is that the tickets to the place is super exclusive. Only 200 people a day are allowed. Rs. 1760 for a group of 5 plus Rs. 236 for every additional person. The view from the top is breathtaking, the unique part of the treck the lake at the top which is shaped like a heart. If you are planning to hike this place, please reach the ticket counter by 1:30 to reserve your tickets.

Very nice experience. I think it is one of the best places to visit in Wayand. If we go visiting only, then it's not good. But opting for trekking will give the best experience. Getting tickets is a bit difficult, as they allow only 200 people per day for trekking. They will start giving tokens early in the morning by 5:00 AM.Those who get tokens will be given entry tickets after 7:00 AM. With one ticket a group of 5 people can trek. But if we are going for trekking, we should be present there early morning for the tickets. Just for visit, its not an apt place. Climbing up the peak is very tiring, but when we reach the top, we will have best experience. If we carry palstic bottle, we should pay a refundable amount of 50rs per bottle and they will give a sticker for each bottle. When we reach back, if we return the bottle we will get the money back. They won't allow ny Bluetooth speakers while trekking. On top of hill there is a heart shaped lake. But view from top top is the best. When we reach top, we can sit there and relax on the rocks.

Surrounded by hills, tea plantations and lush green valley, Chembra Peak is the highest mountain peak in Wayanad. It is 2100 m above sea level. The place is protected by the forest department, and it has maintained its originality over the years. It is the ideal tourist spot if you're looking for a serene nature walk. Chembra Peak is a picturesque location from where you can get breathtaking views of the exotic flora and fauna of the region.

Not an easy trek, moderate trek. Timings are strict starts morning 7.0 am, ends by 1.0 pm Only limited number of people allowed per day, 200 people max. Tickets starts at 6.0 am morning, First come first serve basis, plastic bottles you have to pay deposit of 50 rupees each, to take plastic bottles with you, they will paste sticker on it and you have to return after completion of trek which is so good, this is reason no plastic found on hill. Hill view is amazing, worth the trek once you reach top. Lake is cool. Good thing is gaurds are there at specific checkposts while trekking, rules are strict that you will explore only the path not the other areas of hill. Overall experience is very good. Small kids, Above 50 years age it's very difficult to trek. If you come in groups it will be nice, amount is for 10 people it's 1770 rupees.

Climbing the distance to the heart-shaped pool was the best activity I've taken part in so far this year. The patch of forest, steep sections amd gentle slopes all have their own charm and I loved every bit. The hike to Chembra peak is not for the faint-hearted. PS: 1- 1Β½ hr trek. So leave early in the morning, so that u can experience nice moments n enjoy da nature. If u go atleast 8people it ll be worth, because there ll be entry fee (for >2 people it s 800rs). U can go in car, bike till da entry gate. It ll be awesome.

The peak is visible from almost all parts of Wayanad. On the way to this peak, you can sight a heart shaped lake, which is said to have never dried up. It is one of the topmost attractions of this peak. Very nice experience.. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Hike is of about 1.5 KMs, the inclination is steep at few places. Very clean n green. Regular hikers may not find it interesting or beautiful. Too much hype for the pond and view from hill top. Token needs to be taken at 4 am standing in a Q. Again at 7 am you need to come with token to pay the ticket amount which is 1770/- per 5 people. If you are a couple still u need to pay 1770/- . it should be head count but not multiples of 5 or minimum 5. Also ticketing could have been centralized and made available online as the amount taken trekking is not less. Visiting fees of 20/- is charged for people who do not want to trek but just visit Chembra hill. This is waste as the view is not that great. And tickets for. Visiting are made available after all tickets for trekking are sold. So you need to wait for all trekkers to go. That’s 200 people. After which you will be given tickets. Overall not a great experience. Lot of room for improvement.

Chembra Peak trek in Wayanad is a must-do! The trail takes you through lush forests, leading to the iconic heart-shaped Chembra Lake. The panoramic views from the summit are breathtaking, with misty valleys and tea plantations stretching as far as the eye can see. It's a 3-4 hour trek suitable for all levels of hikers, but be sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water and snacks. Remember to trek responsibly, leaving no trace behind. Chembra Peak offers a memorable adventure in the Western Ghats, and I highly recommend it to nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. Don't forget your camera to capture the beauty of this incredible destination.

The view is worth the struggle…Going up is far easier than coming down. Don’t take too many things(one water bottle is enough to one person) because your bag will get heavy. It’s bit risky to come down especially in monsoon because the way gets very slippery. The price is really expensive Entry fee is 1790 (for 3 people) Then they will charge extra 50 rupees (refundable)per bottle

Located close to Meppady and just 8 km south of Kalpetta, stands the highest peak of the Wayanad Hill Range- the Chembra Peak at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level. The Chembra peak offers a panoramic view of not only the entire Wayanad district but also a large chunk of Kozhikode, Malappuram and Niligiri districts. The peak, its surrounding lush greenery and the famed heart-shaped lake make it a paradise for travellers to explore

The ticket price is β‚Ή1770/- for nationals and β‚Ή3550/- for foreigners and it's for 5 persons The "staff" are super friendly and very helpful in every perspective It takes about 3-4 hrs for the entire trek and is damn exhausting if you're a rare person for trekking But you will not regret the destination, it's such a beautiful destination and you will not be allowed to the peak as it's permanently closed and the max destination is the heart shaped lake

Chembra Peak is a paradise for trekkers, presenting a thrilling challenge coupled with mesmerizing natural beauty. The trek to the peak takes you through dense forests, lush green meadows, and winding trails, offering a delightful blend of adventure and serenity. One of the highlights of the Chembra Peak trek is the heart-shaped lake, also known as Hridaya Saras, nestled near the summit. This pristine lake, perched at an altitude of approximately 6,000 feet, adds an ethereal touch to the entire trekking experience.

Situated 2100 m above sea level, Chembra is the highest peak in Wayanad district and lives up to its billing of being a picturesque location as the route to the peak is past waterfalls and lush greenery. Chembra has managed to maintain its pristine nature over the years, and many exotic species of rare flora and fauna can be seen here. It is a prime spot for trekking and guided tours are available and necessary to make the climb.

Good place to visit for active people, the climb up is quite steep in places and is slippy, at least when we went, so grippy footwear is recommended. We arrived about 8am and the ticket buying is a bit of a faff, we hired jeeps from the local town to take us up as the road is pretty poor. The walk starts nice and easy with a stroll along a path above a huge tea plantation. As we went early it was nice and cool. The start is deceptive as once you have traversed to the first corner the path climbs quickly up and out of the trees. The guideline of 1.5 hours is about right dependent on fitness as the path climbs about 400m vertical. It was cloudy when we visited but the lifted sufficiently to see the peaks above us and get a good sense of the drop over the edge. It was a good day out.
