Karlad is a freshwater lake and one of the top tourist spots of Wayanad. We went there mainly for boating as a very few lake offers so much varieties of boating like this !!! Apart from boating you can also enjoy Zip lining, wall climbing and many more activities like this. If you have children with you and are travelling to Wayanad, arrange some times from your schedule for this place.

An unexplored site of wayanad but a must visit point to all age group people. A small but beatiful lake, entry gate is very near to the road, lot of activities including zip line and many kind of manual boat safaris. Should do atleast zip line ride and staff assisted manual boat ride.

A small quiet place, without the rush in other tourist spots,there is a small lake, a walkway around the lake, a small garden, a kids park, a zipline and some boating activities. Zipline is much expensive with Rs 400per person and it goes above the lake, the return to start point in a row boat.

Beautiful place. Some repairing works going on. Zip lane is beautiful. Lake having water sports activities like pedal boat, kayaking etc. Calm and quiet place.

Beautiful lake for boat ride and family time. Not much to do Zipline is a gimick. Only one restaurant and only chicken biryani and meals is available. Go for chicken biryani, meals is below average. Parking is good and only one restroom available near the hotel.

Beautiful location poorly maintained..tent was not clean and the toilet was worst. Water from toilet was leaking to tent ..I will never stay in their tents again..

Just an average lake and not that beautiful. Better to visit pookode lake. The Karlad lake resort is nearby. There are some adventure activites in and around the lake and there is a kids section too. I tried the zipline and it cost around 250. However, it wasn't that thrilling. The team conducting the activites are coordial though. There are benches around the lake where you can sit with friends and/or family. The view isn't that great and some might be put off due to a slight smell coming from the lake. It is okay for one time visit and costs around 40rs for the entry ticket.

A beautiful place to relax and enjoy. So much to play for kids. Zip line and boating are available.

Pretty decent place with a decent view. You can enjoy boating out here. Not much restaurants available in the front.

A nice place to visit. I have been here over ten years ago and the infrastructure has improved for the better. You cannot walk the entire length of the lake because some of the property adjacent to the lake is yet to be acquired by the tourism department. The highlight of the visit is undoubtedly the ropeway. The rock climbing facility is in disarray and the bamboo rafting costs RS 1000 upfront and you need to find passengers yourself. Ropeway costs RS 400 and once you reach the other end, they will bring you back by boat. There are two seater and four seater pedal boats and also row boats. Trekking around the lake is pleasant. There is a children's park under construction. Carry an umbrella if you go in the afternoon. The pontoon bridge takes you to the far extremes of the lake. The lack of food courts within the facility was acutely felt. Be wary of private parking facilities at the entrance as they do not give you a ticket for the money they take from you.

Known as Karlad Adventure Camp, Adventure is limited to almost 100 mts of Zipline. There is a Wall Rock climbing, not sure whether it's still on, as didn't see anyone do that. There's kayaking, bamboo rafting and pedal & row boats, all of which are just beginner friendly adventures. Could spent around an hour or so...

Absolutely gorgeous. A stunning lake full of lotuses. Clam, serene and not too many people around. I love it. You can also boat, zip-line, etc, if you enjoy such activities.

Today(03/October/2021) it's not opened as it is under containment zone.

Boating, kayaking and zipline were amazing experience. It is a great place to visit with family.

A serene and calm place. Less touristy and really good place. We did try the zipline here it was really good. The zipline is around 400 per person (thought it's small we get a good experience).

If you are going on the weekend then I will say this is the best place in Wayanad to get some rest. I went there on Republic weekend. This was the only place in Wayanad with less crowds. I try to go to the Zip line in many other places . But all of them have long queues. Here there is no queue and Zipline over the lake is really good. They also have pedal boats and Bamboo rafting. Also have a small children's play area. There are many chairs under the shade here. So you can just relax with the light breeze from the lake.

It is a place which is ideal for peace lovers, and especially for those who wanted to take a relief from the din and bustle of the city or even from a busy tourist spot. This is said to be the second largest freshwater lake in Kerala.

Oddly satisfying. I wouldn't make a long drive to get here, but the day I went it was EMPTY and I was the only one there, so it was extremely peaceful. I could just sit, do nothing and mentally check out for a bit. I spent quite a while just watching tadpoles. I don't know if this is a place I want to come to when it's crowded. They have boating and some other activities, but I like it better as a place to just relax and take in nature. The lake itself is gorgeous.

Excellent place, Both elder and children's enjoy the place, Entry is chargeable and every rides are charged, if we take ride then they cancel the entry fee.

Nice Lake. Can spend time with family. Only manual boating is available due to eco tourism. A small child park is also there to spend time with kids. Better go after monsoon.

This is another gem in Waynad on the way to Banasursagar dam. The route to this place itself will make one feel like not returning ever. The lake is small and has a boating facility. There's also one of the best zip lines that is across the lake which is quite thrilling and enjoyable. The best part is they bring you back by boat so boating is kind of complimentary. Food options are rare around, there's only one small mess opposite to the lake entry.

This place is a well preserved small lake with various activities like boating, kayaking, bamboo rafting. The place is neat & clean & nicely maintained. They do allow pets to visit the lake (no charge, not allowed for water activities though) if the particular day is not crowded.

Enjoyed boating.... it is a calm place... Tented home stays and conference hall available here is good for company meetings. Zip Iine & boating pricing is Iittle expensive...

Calm and clean surroundings. Nice to walk along the path on the side of the walk. Saw few tented accommodation overlooking the lake. It also has a small kids park where small kids can have fun. Boating is also there and can book at the counter while taking tickets at counter.
