Lovely nature trekking. You nned to reach wayanad and from there take local transport. A guide or a trekking expert will accompany you. You may start climbing with their help. Few places are slippery. A lake in heart 💓 shape is present above. Very scenic beauty. Cool breeze embrace you.

Here's a few reasons to consider before embarking on this Trek: 1) Terrible System - you gotta turn up there at 5AM to get 'tokens' and then wait out there in pitch dark and cold until they open the ticket counter at 7AM. By this time a while new level of crowd would've arrived and crowding the ticket counter. And guess what they ultimately call out token numbers and you might not even get to hear it because of the mass of crowd gathered. Good luck with that ! 2) Limited entry - they allow only select numbers everyday. There's no way to know if you'll make it after spending all this time waiting. Till what token numbers they call? Who can ever know. . 😆 3) Plastic stuff - you gotta produce your water bottles, soft drink pet bottles and pays deposit for them and get a sticker for each bottle. This is an attempt to control waste dumping, so obviously that's great. The way they go about it is the problem. You finally manage to wedge your way through the crowd, only to new sent back to your car to get water bottles. Who knows when you'll get back in? 4) Actual Trek - decent. I don't think it's for beginners. But that's debatable. 5) The Hill Top View - Thumbs down. Don't be fooled by the edited pictures. The view doesn't carry much from half the climb. I wouldn't go again. 6) Heart Shaped Lake- What heart shape? You probably need a drone to get the Google image. 7) Miscellaneous - No Amenities, No refreshment options outside, you can't even walk through the grass on top. 🤷🏽‍♀️ You go figure.

Place is good ,but the whole system of trekking here sucks. I think they start issuing tokens at 5.00am in the morning and there are people waiting right at entrance parking and do not allow you to form groups. The trek charges is 885rupee for a group of 10 i believe, even if you are single you have to pay the same amount. There is no logic as there is no dedicated guides and just around 7 ppl in vantage points just monitoring. They start the billing at 7.00 am which is way too late and there is overcrowding and pushing. They collect the second dose vaccine certificate details but they way the let people crowd the place says that they are just doing for formality. By the time you start trekking it's around 8.00-8.30 am which is late and the time needed is 2hrs to trek one-way. There is one great water source exactly halfway and water is clean and drinkable so carrying just one bottle should be good enough as you can fill here twice.

It was a great experience to trek to Chembra peak.. Overall, if you are fit to trek, please visit once to experience it.The best part of trek is the heart shaped lake at the peak.😍 Naturally formed lake. Overwhelming experience. Plastic free Area Fully controlled trekking by Forest watchers, so safe to climb with families.. Visiting Time: 7.00 AM to 5.00PM (those who wish to take trekking must reach before 02.00 pm). But had better to reach there at early morning as restriction only 200 visitors per day

This is not a beginner's trek. You need a lot of core strength to trek this peak. You'll have to climb huge stones all the time. Take your own sweet time to climb. Don't rush. The trek end point is till heart -shaped lake only. They aren't allowing people to climb the peak as there are some important resources. View is really good

We were a group of 7. Did the trek on 22 Aug 23. There's a lot of info on the net that we have to reach the ticket counter as early as 5am even though the trek can begin only after 7am. Whilst it is true that only 200 tickets per day are issued, if you go on weekdays, which we did, you can run your luck and get the tickets even if you reach beyond 8am. We reached at 7:30am and there were still plenty of spots up for grabs after us. If you are planning to do in on weekends, then yes, do reach there very early. The trek is challenging but do it at your own pace and put your ego away, everyone has different fitness levels. The goal is to reach the top. Enjoy the hike and some great pix await you at the summit!

Chembra peak trekking should be a top priority to-do item on everyone's itinerary. We visited this place on a Friday and we were at the ticket counter at 6:30 and were able to get our tickets (there's a 200 ticket quota that gets emptied very quickly). They allow people to begin the Trek at 7 am and the place closes at 3 pm. I think they won't allow people to begin trekking after 3 pm. There's a nice stall at the parking lot, right after the ticket counter where you get omlette, dosas. You can have good quality food there before your trek. At the ticket counter, every single water bottle you carry will have a sticker on them and you'll be charged 50 rupees if you don't bring back all the plastic bottles you carry on your trek. I also advise you buy rain covers because there's no way to tell when it'll rain. There will be checking for lighters, cigarettes and alcohol at the start so please refrain from carrying these items. We promptly started trekking in our Crocs at 7 am and there's a kilometre walk up to the starting point. After that, it's a steep 2-2.5 km trek to the peak where you'll find the heart shaped lake. It had rained a bit when we started trekking so lots of slippery rocks and slush. That also means leeches and a couple of us wearing Crocs had a couple of leeches on our feet. I highly recommend good quality trekking shoes. Sneakers and running shoes don't work either. We reached the top with a little difficulty but the views throughout were absolutely breathtaking. The sun wasn't up, cloudy, windy weather and of course the sight of the heart shaped lake was mesmerizing. You can take plenty of pictures there and the trail back to the starting point is the same path so you'll have a harder time getting down than getting up, especially if it has rained. Take it slow and easy and you'll definitely have an experience of your lifetime.

Chambra VSS is the place from where you buy tickets for Chembra trek which takes you to Chembra heart shaped lake. Few points to help people who’re planning to go - 200 people per day are allowed to go for trek - You collect token from the counter from 5-7am on first come first serve basis - Forest dept starts giving tickets from 7am per token number - One time use plastic bottles are allowed with refundable security deposit ₹50/bottle - Trek starts from 2km after the ticket counter, you can park your vehicle at the trek starting point Tips: - Try to reach before 5:30am so that you get token easily - Carry your personal water bottles

A good trekking point, have to have some experience in trekking to scale it comfortably and with out any injury. Can be slippery when rains. Should have proper gear like shoes and clothes. Water is a must so carry according to your needs. Guards are very amiable and respond well. Entry is restricted so reach as early as possible. Don’t quit in the middle, the summit is worth a see. Peace prevails in the top, so worth the try.

The trekking and view is awsome and bindblowing #Best months to visit : August to February #Time : Reach the ticket counter by 6 30 am as trekking start at 7 am #Road : Road conditions are ok for ordinary vehicles #Trekking path: Beware about slipping and wear good shoes and clothing suitable for climbing as its not an easy treck #About the cost of trekking: For group of 10 they charge 750+gst For single person they charge 75+gst But the fact is that they only give group tickets which i dont understand so if you are 1 person also you are charged 750 and i think this is a scam Also i understand that technically a group have to be guided by 1 forest guard. But they dont do that instead they simply stand at certain key places during the trekking So if you want to save money 💰 better form a group when you reach there.

The trek to Chembra Peak is a moderate to challenging one, but every step is worth it. The trail takes you through dense forests, meandering streams, and picturesque landscapes, creating a true connection with nature. Along the way, you’ll encounter a heart-shaped lake called “Hridaya Saras” that adds a touch of romance to the journey. Reaching the summit is a moment of triumph. The panoramic views from the top are simply magnificent, with rolling hills, tea plantations, and distant valleys stretching out as far as the eye can see. The feeling of being on top of the world is exhilarating and leaves a lasting impression.

The trek was absolutely amazing, every step was worth it! It was a steep climb, but the view from the top was absolutely breathtaking. Charges are 300₹ per person and it's for limited people. Not recommended for children and elderly people.

Chembara Peak Trekking is a must-do adventure! The ticket price of 300 per person is worth it for the incredible experience. The 3-4 hours trekking up and down the steep slopes is challenging yet exhilarating. The beautiful lake at the top is a serene reward for your efforts. The often raining weather adds to the charm, creating a pleasant climate. Remember not to bring plastic bottles to preserve the pristine environment. Make sure to wear proper shoes for a comfortable trekking experience.

Medium difficulty trek.. Only 200 were allowed per day. Tokens will be issued starting 5am and it will be over within 6 in holiday season. View was great from the top but the heart shaped lake was not at expected level.

Good place to get a small trek. An easy level trek. Take almost 1-1.5 hour to get top. Plastic free zone. Heart shaped lake is the major attraction.

Awesome trekking and view of Wayanad. You need be be there by 6 am for tokens for the trek. If you are arriving after 6 or 6.30 am you might not get tickets. The trek starts around 8 am and can be completed in 3 hrs.

Amazing experience! It's a medium level trek for about 2Km You are allowed to trek till the heart shaped lake. The view is spectacular. One of the must do things in wayanad. PS : carry cash because online payments are not acceptable for your tickets

The trek uphill begins modestly along tea plantations, but then it gathers momentum and gravity. The mountain slowly rises under your feet, which you could feel in your calf muscles. Stop. Take a deep breath. Walk again. Your lungs are refreshed with the mountain air. Slowly the panoramic views of the valleys emerge out of the morning air to claim your rapt attention. The heart-shaped pond: After an hour, with the gaped mouth, you stand on the banks of a pond laid carefully on a bed of crispy green meadow. Nature doesn’t mince its symbols to tell you how much you’re still loved, your eyes well up at the sight of the spectacular sight of the heart-shaped pond which you wanted to see all your life. It is around 3 km trek from the base camp. This is a full day package organized by the forest department. Best time to visit is during August-May. Visiting Time: 7.00 AM to 5.00PM (those who wish to take trekking must reach before 02.00 pm) only 200 person perday

Amazing trail which is moderate in difficulty for beginners, would advise to get there early to start the trek as only limited people are allowed to trek each day , also do carry cash as no upi or card payment are accepted there

Beautiful views, pet-friendly and accessible by car. However, it’s best to have an experienced person behind the wheel. Need a ticket that you can avail from the counter, negligible charges.

We were the last batch to go to trekking on that day we reached the place at 11.45. Initial we had no plan to go for a trek, we meet with other Bangalore couple and they motivated us. The price is taken for 5 in a group, even if u r 2 in group u had pay complete amount. It's plastic free zone they will not allow to carry any plastic. U shd carry a water bottle( if plastic need to keep deposits of 50 rs) it's difficult to climb without water. It's moderate level climb. It was worth to go at top to see a love lake. It was our honeymoon so trekking to top and seeing a lake is worth.

It is a nice and proper trek and it gives you a sense of achievement once you have climbed it, the heart-shaped lake is the icing on the cake. The trek is very clean and seems tough at few points too. It is a no-plastic zone, so all the plastic stuff will be tagged and you will be charged a refundable amount of 50 per stuff. And the good thing is there are guards on the trek path at every fixed distance to help and guide the tourists. Spend some time up there and you will not regret your decision to go up there. And please come down cautiously.

Its 3 hour trek, easy to moderate difficulty. Ideal to climb early morning before it gets too sunny. View is enjoyable, make sure to carry some food items and water bottle ( please dont litter) as there arent any shops around and one will need after climbing.

Very well arranged trek. The way they manage to ensure the place remains plastic free, should be emulated by all tourist spots across the country

👍👍 Really nice 3-4 hour trek. First you need to get tokens from the forest department and the then they allow groups to go for the trek in order. The price is around 800 rs for a group of up to 10 people. The trek itself is really nice, a little steep and requires good knees. It is also very scenic. Ma...
