Nice place to visit with friends and family. There are few snakes and 2 crocodiles. There is a nice river passing through it, you can also swim there. There are some beautiful views on the opposite sides of the river. For timing and other facilities available please check the photos attached. You can spend upto 2 hours depends on your interest.

Peruvannamuzhi is a beautiful dam sight with few animals. Main attraction is Dam water falls. Mainly it opens during south west mansoon dew to excess of water. Other seasons it remains closed. Both the front and back view available from either side. Japan drinking water filter system and other related items situated near to dam sight. For visitors the above system also will be an attraction.

The place is good. Can get a good view of the dam and the beautiful River. But there is almost nothing to see in the poorly maintained zoo. Some crocodiles, king cobra in pathetic condition, etc. There is good play area for children. I strongly recommend that visit this place as part of a trip to kakkayam dam.

This is managed by forest department of government of Kerala. This place is along side of peruvannamuzhy irregation dam and good for one time visit along with family and kids. Very quiet and nature friendly place . however I would like to tell you that the entire area of dam s garden and wildlife display area is NOT WELL MAINTAINED as we expect generally in a tourist place. I found the maintenance has degraded and neglected during the years. If you visit along with kids you can show them 2 crocodiles here in the protected area where one is small crocodile. There is turtles. And many types of snakes in the shelter places you can watch. There is python snake also displayed. Kids play area is dangerously maintained and there is botanical plant's displayed too. I totally I can give 3 stars only as maintenance need to be improved a lot. For fee at present rs30per adult. For kids entry is free. For dam garden entry fee is rs 5/per head and rs30/_ for parking car. As crocodile farm is very rare in India , we suggest government to give more funds to develop this tourist place and make it a great place for people visit here.

Nice place to spend some hours. There were two crocodile and some snakes. Found some herbs as well. Very quiet place but not well maintained. There is a beautiful lake nearby, surrounded with forest. You can swim if you like to do so. They charge you Rs.30 for entry.

Peruvannamuzhi Irrigation project dam site is a poorly maintained place. Its possible to make it a good local destination if maintained properly. The attractive part of any dam site is its reservoir area. But currently visitors are restricted to reservoir area (February 17). The garden also is not maintained.
