Must visit place for every visitor to Mysore. Will need minimum three hours to enjoy the whole place. Well designed, sign boards placed every where. Very well maintained. Variety of various species of Birds, animals, reptiles. Also have buggies to take you around for an hour at a nominal price. The drivers of the buggies also guide you through the whole ride. Even on a weekday was crowded. Please note: the zoo is closed on Tuesday.

The zoo is set in a natural setting and covers an area of 3 km. With a variety of animals, birds, reptiles and plants this place is a must visit for both old and young. The zoo is beautifully designed in such a manner that visitors never get bored. There are battery operated vehicles which take visitors around the whole area. Animals look healthy and are adopted by people from time to time.

Mysore zoo has improved leaps and bounds since my last visit/memory. As it was monsoon season, the whole area was lush with greenery. The walkway path are clean and clearly labelled. It's a 3.8 km walk through the various exhibits. Towards the latter end there is a cafeteria with numerous food options. Good initiative of depositing money for carrying plastic bottles and collecting the deposit back if you don't litter the park. Also one cannot carry any smoking products into the park. Designated areas for eating food. Kids will have a wonderful time in the park.

It is such a big zoo with lots of animals. The good thing is that they are taking good care of animals. I could see all the animals which we have seen in text books back in school days or in television. Animals in this zoo are not just limited from India, they have animals from round the globe. Be it Lion, Hippo, African Elephant, different varieties of monkeys, Birds from all over the globe, giraffe etc etc. Also the zoo itself is full of greenery and very beautiful. Giving the exact feel of forest. 1) Would suggest everyone to wear shoes, as the place is very big and have to walk for Hrs. 2) Take water bottle, also they have drinking water on every 20-30 meter but, taking our own water bottle will be more hygienic. 3) Take and wear your mask, it is mandatory. 4) Don't take the electric cart, walk and enjoy the place.

Must visit place in Mysore. You can see almost important species around the world in this zoo. You can spend 2 to 4 hours in this zoo. By walk πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ its very good πŸ‘. Don't go by buggy ride because you will not be able to see all animals properly.

Zoo is really good almost all animal species are here and you can see them very closely specially giraffes and rhino, zebra. Well maintained zoo neat and clean. The only problem is if you book an electric vehicles inside zoo, driver only speaks in regional language which is difficult for outsiders to understand their instructions also they won't stops at animals which you want to see as thay have only selected stops.

Mysore Zoo offers a diverse array of animals and birds, creating an engaging experience for visitors. It's particularly suitable for kids, providing an educational and enjoyable outing. However, the extensive walking distance of approximately 3.8 kilometers may be challenging for older individuals or those with walking issues; opting for a battery car is advisable for a more comfortable exploration.

One of the best places to visit in Mysore. I went with family on a weekday, there was a slight rush as this place is a regular tour place for the students around South India. I booked the tickets(100 per person) online and it is highly recommended to avoid the big queues. You will get a QR code after you book the tickets and you can use the same to get in. Cameras are allowed you have to pay an extra 100 bucks. Kids below 4 will not be charged. They will scan the bags at the entrance and if you are carrying water bottles and eatables you will have to pay 10 rupees per item which will be refundable at the exit. You can also opt for an electric vehicle if you have aged people with you. The zoo is well maintained and you will get to see most of the animals here. They have a wide range of snakes. You will spend at least 2-3 hours if you are exploring the zoo by walking. They have washrooms inside.

Went morning 8.45am. Easily got access to buggy ride as crowd was less. 1hr buggy ride covered whole zoo. Very neat clean and well maintained zoo. Must visit with kids. While leaving we saw a hugh rush for buggy ride and big crowd of people at 10.30am. best to visit in morning itself.

The Mysore zoo is an amazing place for both adults and kids. The size of the zoo is enormous and it has a variety of animals. Some famous attractions are the lion, tiger, various species of birds, panther, jaguar, elephant 🐘, rhinos and many more. There is also an option for booking an electric that can take you for sightseeing if you don't prefer to walk. You have to buy tickets that vary from adult , child and senior citizens in pricing and can be bought from the ticket counter after entering inside the zoo.

One of the best and largest zoo in Karnataka. Worth the time. It takes around 3-4 hours to cover everything ! It's around 6-7 KM , i guess . Well maintained, still in improving. You can use electric vehicles which is available as soon as you enter the zoo after check-in. 100 Rs per head is worth. No ticket required for kids below 5. You can carry food items and all. Only that they'll put some sticker and take 10Rs per plastic deposit which will be returned while exiting only if you show the plastic/cover to make sure you didn't throw inside zoo. It opens at 8.30 am . So go sooner to avoid rush. There's enough paid parking opposite zoo.

Possibly one of the best Zoo parks in south India. You can get your tickets online, for a quick access. Decent parking space for cars also there is extended parking space 550m away from the zoo park. Had a great time here, peaceful environment and good walking trail. Decent food and snack options and the maintenance of the place is great.

When it comes to most zoos in India, this one is clearly one of the best ones. They are a private zoo and have successfully bred many animals here including the giraffes, hippos, tigers, zebras, and many more. The zoo is quite big and with little kids it’s best to hire the buggy. The tickets for the buggy can be booked online so you can save waiting time. On public holidays and weekends this place gets crowded so plan your visit accordingly. If you have little kids carry water and food too s as the options are very limited. I saw only one place with food options.

The Mysuru zoo is really fantastic place, the entry fees for an Indian Adult is β‚Ή100, there's concession for educational institutions, the fees for them is β‚Ή30 per head. The fees is honestly worth its value. The fees goes to the maintenance of the place and salary of the workers. We have to walk 3.2 kms across the zoo to see it completely, it is recommended to hire a zoo vehicle for aged and unable. There are multiple resting points across to zoo, to take rest and proceed in the journey. The zoo has all species of animals and birds. The zoo also has an option to adopt an animal or a bird for an year. The person who adopts should look after all the expenses of that animal occured in that span of time, this method is really cool method of building a bond between Humans and Animals/Birds, which is one of the essential components to build harmony in the society.

The whole place is extremely well managed. All animals seemed to be in good health. The zoo was very clean everywhere, with strict check on use of plastic. There are drinking water points at many places all around the zoo. Staff are very prompt and helpful. While entry and self viewing of the place was really quick, wait for the electric buggies was very long. I then came to know that we could book them online. It's strongly recommended, as you could cut the queue.

Quite a lot of animals and good greenery. Special attractions are Giraffes, meerkats, African Elephant and the white tiger. They have added a good number of migratory birds which is a very welcome sign. The zoo park is also cleanly maintained. But I request the authorities to impose strict action against who tease animals when they are sleeping. Really a irritating lot which ruin experience both for the public & of course the poor animals.

The zoo was so big, that it tired the short Walker like me πŸ˜‚ but there are electric cars also to visit the zoo , The water cooler and toilets are available at every kilometer. The best part is that you see the most unique species that you cannot see in other zoos. Overall the best zoo , I have ever traveled to.

Very well maintained zoological park of India, one of the largest zoological gardens in India. Amenities like presence of RO water, electric vehicles cars make your day at the zoological garden a very pleasant experience. Children can learn a lot with their time spent here. Animals are kept in huge enclosures and not in a typical cage, imitating as close as possible to their natural habitat Was very impressed with the ways pythons and snakes were kept, ensuring their body temperature are maintained constantly. Must Visit !!

Too many people are visiting the Zoo daily, they are taking enough money as a ticket but zoo is very small in terms of place alloted to each and every animal. Cages are also not clean. Water is not changed from last many months. Animals are mentally tortured by this kind of treatment. They also have living rights and choice of right treatment.

It's an impeccable place with a gamut of options to watch which one doesn't find usually everywhere. It has all the amenities and shops one needs to have a quality time with their cohort and loved ones. Furthermore, kids should be definitely brought here and learn the difference between different animals. It's very interactive and interesting. There are many other places one can club this visit with, but keep in mind that an ideal visit would take around 3 hours minimum. Have a good trip!

Very good place for kids. They enjoy very much seeing the animals. You need minimum 2 hours to look around. It covers 3.5 km by walk. On the way you have mother care room ,rest room ,drinking water every 500 m stone bench to take rest and one restaurant.Battery vehicle available but you need to wait an hour Or so to get one. The place is a great one to go .You get to see a lot of creatures and learn about them whose names you would have never heard or seen in your life. Here in long weekends there is very large amount of crowd. For people who can't walk much, there are e-rickshaws also present for them to roam them around the Zoo. One of the best zoos in India. I don’t think you can see giraffe in any other Indian zoo. Gorilla, Anaconda, different rhinoceroses etc. are some of the main attractions. There are so many other animals. We will plan next time to only visit the zoo and at least spend 3-4 hours there. Will give detailed update as soon as we visit. This time we didn’t had much time hence ought for the chair car service

Bought tickets online and entered the place without any issues. Walking from the official zoo car parking takes 5mins. Avoid afternoon times to visit as most animals are either sleeping or eating. You can take your own water bottle and click pictures and videos from your own mobile phone also at no extra cost.

An amazing place to visit, you will be treated to a variety of mammals, birds and reptiles with a lot of information to learn about them. Plastic is banned in the Zoo so do not carry any food/water in disposable plastic containers. With around of 2 kms of walking, the place has multiple resting places, rest room and drinking water stops and also a canteen at the mid way point. Best time to visit is during week days with less crowd enables you to enjoy the exhibits better.

Mysore Zoo is a popular tourist attraction in the city of Mysore, Karnataka. Spread over a vast area, the zoo is home to a diverse range of animals and offers visitors a unique opportunity to experience wildlife up close. Here is my review of Mysore Zoo. The zoo is well-maintained, with clean pathways and well-manicured gardens. The enclosures are spacious, and the animals seem healthy and content. Visitors can observe a wide range of animals, including big cats, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of primates. One of the highlights of the zoo is the bird sanctuary, which houses an impressive collection of birds from all over the world. Visitors can watch colorful parrots, exotic peafowls, majestic eagles, and many other species of birds in their natural habitat. Another standout feature of Mysore Zoo is its conservation efforts. The zoo actively participates in breeding programs and conservation initiatives to protect endangered species. Visitors can witness the dedicated efforts of the zoo staff in preserving the animal population and learn about the importance of conservation. The zoo also offers various amenities, such as food stalls, souvenir shops, and restrooms. The staff is courteous and helpful, providing information and assistance to visitors. Overall, Mysore Zoo is an excellent destination for animal lovers and families. The zoo offers a unique and educational experience, allowing visitors to learn about various animal species and their habitats. With its beautiful surroundings and well-maintained facilities, Mysore Zoo is definitely worth a visit.

Advise that you visit early morning so you can get a buggy for yourself without any wait time and animals are also awake and active. It's quite well maintained zoo and has Macaus, Gorilla, Chimpanzee, Black Panther, Jaguar, Giraffe, etc. Almost all the animals you'll wish to see. Absolute pleasure to visit this zoo.

Wonderful place . Well maintained. Very organised. It was a Pleasure to visit. Rare animals and the animals were able to move around fully. Coulf watch them closer. Loved the chimpanzee, 🦧 orangutan, tall and beautiful giraffes Indian and Asian elephants , Lion and the tiger. Walking amidst birds is another beautiful experience. They have E vehicles to move around . Of course at a cost . The day we went was way too crowded and we waited 1.5 hours for a vehicle. I recommend to book online to avoid rush . Perfect place for a liesure half day trip. There were lots of animals, birds and reptiles. But you have to walk a lot and you can get easily lost in the crowd(we went during weekends so). The battery operated vehicle is a 7 seater and they charge extra for that (INR 200 for Adults & INR 150 for kids) The experience is worth it.

Had wonderful afternoon filled with pleasant feeling and physical effort( as we need to walk around 3.2 km from entry gate to exit gate inside the zoo). Super choice if you want to go out and spend sometime solo or with loved ones.

This is probably the best zoo of India and will rank amongst the most green zoo across the world. All the animals look visibly healthy. Mind just gets freshen up visiting this place. Entire compound has very good vibes. Must visit place if you are visiting Mysore.

A good place to spend time with family and kids. Animals are well taken care of and overall look healthy. But birds are caged with not much space inside. For animal lovers there is also the facility to adopt animals which I feel is a good factor. Ticket charges are 100 per head for adults and 50 per head for kids.
