We loved it! It's not huge to walk around. Lots of places to sit with shade and places to get drinks/snacks. Buy a bucket or two of carrots while there to feed some animals, feed a giraffe lettuce from your hand and ride a camel! We really had a great time!! Nice gift shop, too (with bathrooms).

Really cute zoo with lots of animals. A lot of the animals you can feed them so I would highly recommend buying carrots at the entrance for the animals! It’s great for kids and easy walking trail. I loved seeing all the animals close up. Some of the info closures seem small but I have no idea if that’s good for the animals or not. They looked happy overall. My 15 month old daughter loved walking around and seeing all the animals. She loved feeding the goats and the camels! The zoo is also very affordable. Loved it!

We've been here a few times and it's a nice alternative to the larger zoos. A manageable amount of walking but not exhausting. I found that it suits all ages but especially the younger ones because the animal exhibits are closer to the wallking path and the animals themselves are easier to see at their level. It's also a special treat for kids (and adults) to be able to feed carrots to certain animals and you get a souvenir cup or bucket after all the carrots are gone. I also like that there were a few new additions to the zoo since last year...ranging from improving the animal exhibits/ habitats to adding new play features for kids. Lastly, I enjoyed the new look out deck overlooking a pond which has large visible fish in it. We will surely be back!

Today was my first time here!! When you buybykurntickets at the front entrance - please also buy the bucket of carrots. You can feed a few animals like camels, goats, alpacas, deer, etc. You will know what you can feed because there will be a huge green smiley face in the area. The animals you can NOT feed will have a red sign or signs that say do not feed. We had a great time feeding the animals, riding the train, playing on the structures, and snacking. Please bring some cash. The train rides are in the back and are $5 per person. If you forget cash there is an ATM in the gift shop (in front of the zoo). No outside food is allowed. There was an ice cream truck in the back and another stand that had hot dogs, nachos, beverages, etc. The stands did take cards/ cash. The gift shop has some cool reptiles on the back wall. It's air-conditioned. Bathrooms are located here. They do have a diaper-changing station inside the women's bathroom! The gift shop has cool items, snacks, and beverages. The staff was friendly and helpful. Cute little play area by the entrance. I would definitely go back.

Good time walking through the zoo with my wife. I love seeing all the bears and many other animals. I am glad the money we spent went to Toledo Gospel Rescue Mission through Proclaim FM sponsored evening. Hallelujah Jesus! We will take the whole family to drive through and see the lights they are putting up now.

This zoo is amazing for All ages. It is very shaded for hot days and they have a paved path for strollers and wheelchairs to go all the way around the zoo. All the animals look so happy and are always active and close to touch most. The best part is feeding the animals you are allowed to feed oh and puzzles the giraffe πŸ¦’ he will link you from over the fences!!!

A small zoo with good energy and charm. The animals were so active. I loved getting close to them. My kids are teenagers and they loved feeding the goats. Very relaxing getaway. There was no food or drinks so bring a picnic and eat in your car afterwards.

They offer a season pass for grandparents and all of their grandchildren for a really great price if you go more than once. Our grandchildren love this place.

So many improvements have been made since the last time we were there!! Truly a little gem!! Small enough to enjoy with enough animals to keep the kids interested.

It's a smaller zoo with lots of animals. It's by no means anything like the bigger zooswith all the fancy landscaping and food stands, but then again it also doesn't have the higher prices. They have a great variety of animals that all seemed pretty happy and content. I love going to zoos, and this one was great!! No, the enclosures weren't top notch perfect but they were suitable and the animals were well cared for. It seems like when you visit the bigger zoos, you don't usually get to see to many of the animals and here you were able to see them all very close! I read a review that complained about them and I didn't see what those concerns were. While we were there, we also did the Sloth encounter and Lemur encounter, which were top notch! The staff was great!! We will continue to support them so they continue to expand and improve!! Thank you Indian Creek Zoo I'm already planning on taking my grandkids there next trip.

This is a perfect zoo if you like to be hands-on. You can buy a bucket of carrots to feed certain animals (I think it was $7 a bucket) and you can also purchase additional tickets to feed giraffes ($25 per person ) and have sloth encounters (not sure on this price). This is a smaller zoo, but the experience is great. The facilities are clean and the workers are friendly. There is a trampoline area for kids to play on (but it was shut down because of the heat when we went). I will say that the zoo can be very pricey depending on the extras you do that day. However, we have been twice and think it's worth it as a special outing!

The staff was friendly. Macy (I believe) is always nice to us at the zoo and at her other job at Matthes tree farm. We had a nice time seeing and loved feeding the animals. It was cool to interact with animals.. petting snakes and geckos.. brushing tortoises shells. Kids also loved the horse swings and bouncing pads. Nice place to visit.

It is an okay zoo. Good variety of animals and you get to feed em' carrots and whatnot. Petting zoo with the goats is fun. Would like to see some animals such as the skunk, eagles, wolves with better habitats. The skunk was pacing in a corner when we got there and clawing at the fence for hours. Wolves were doing about the same. Eagles had about as much room as a college dorm...less than the smaller parakeet birds...other than that most animals seemed to be comfortable. Surprised to see such high ratings, it doesn't take much observation to notice issues with some of the living conditions in the zoo.

Such a fun experience! We got two cups of carrots and our two year old loved running around to all the displays and feeding the goats and deer. She even got to hold a baby goat and the staff was so friendly! We loved how interactive it felt.

We took our 3 kids here and were all left depressed. The primates looked like inmates. Sad and depressed. Enclosures were too small for most animals. The wolves tore up a turkey or another large bird. Deer missing fur with cuts on their skin. I feel awful supporting this business. It's like they lost funding and gave up. We just did not feel good about this.

This zoo is awesome. Ita not crowded like most zoos I've been to. In fact, we almost had the whole place to ourselves. Staff was friendly. Place was pretty clean. I wish there was food of some sort. They have snacks and ice cream in the gift shop. Animals were super close to us, and you can even pet some! You can feed some of the animals. A bucket of carrots is 7$. You can give the giraffes lettuce on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday I believe. Call and ask first. You can pay 65 bucks for about a half hour with a sloth, which is pretty cool! You can also pay to get up and close with the giraffes, and hand feed them for a price! We will definitely be back!

We took our son here for his birthday and we all had a great time! It’s a lot more interactive and compact than other zoos which I’m a fan of. Our son had a blast feeding the animals and being able to get up close with them. Animals all seemed fairly well taken care of and the staff was friendly. Could definitely use some improvements but we didn’t have any major complaints. We’ll definitely be back and are considering doing the family pass next year.

Our first trip here and we had a great time. We did the Lemur encounter. Although we didn't get to watch them paint, we still got a painting and we got to feed them through the cages. We also got to feed the Marmosets. The camels were our favorite to feed. The owner's dog, Arrow, is the best. Can't wait to go back!

We always going on Puzzles the giraffe birthday as it is my daughter's birthday too. Puzzles was not out this year as it was kind of chilly out. But as we were at that area and nice lady who takes care of the animals was looking after the young camels, as I had meanted that we always come on Puzzles birthday, she said , 'let me take you to see Puzzles' and we got a great tour of the loft to see Puzzles'and another giraffe. What a great day we all had. Thanks for going to the EXTRA effort and making our day? .....also was another couple that tagged along with us and the man was visiting from Poland. How great for him to see the giraffes up close and to get to pet them.

Sweet zoo. Seemed a little expensive and much of it was roped off and desheveled. Perhaps they are working on structural improvements? Need better signage at enclosures too. I was with a 7 year old who was really interested in learning more about the animals but no signage on all of them. It was a fun afternoon though. The animals seem happy and comfortable.

Very very "COOL ZOO"....., very well laid out and very easy to navigate. Very kid friendly. Moved from Michigan to AZ 4 yrs ago; however I try to visit Indian Creek Zoo every time i return. Always fun to go with family and see the new additions. This past time i saw a bird species i've never known about while walking through the parakeet path. Every time it's a new experience, and I love how it's in a wooded area. Feels like a more natural experience than many other zoo's I been too. Highly recommend for both kids and the young at heart!

Great place to spend a few hours with my daughter. We usually bring a friend or two with her. Not sure what I like more, seeing the animals or the awesome employees that work here! Everyone is always so kind and professional. So much to see here! Have fun with all the animals, spend some time at the craft tables, and then enter the gift shop to enjoy a stuffed animal or two! If you aren't a member of Indian Creek Zoo, RUN don't walk and buy one today! Seriously a treasure in our own backyard. I love gifting memberships to my real estate clients moving into the community. We held our customer appreciation day with them, and everyone loved it -- they were accommodating and wonderful throughout the entire day. So many great family memories for us and I love how its progressed over the years. Completely different experience that going to a big zoo. Don't sleep on this one! I wish I could give it ten stars. :)

I know it's not their fault but every time I've come here I've seen something I didn't really want to see, turtle mating and fighting, ducks r@ping each other, and a deer that looked like she was recently attacked, when I told one woman she didn't really seem to care about the deer but another one told me she'd ask about it to see if the deer was okay, over all I don't really like going here.

I like how easy it is to walk through this zoo. For an additional $3 you get a cup of carrots to feed to certain animals which the kids absolutely loved. It's well maintained, and they regularly make improvements. It was a bit difficult to socially distance at times (on a Wednesday), so keep that in mind when you are considering a visit.

Visited their drive through Christmas light show as well as their walk through, their first year offering it. It was very nice, there was a ton of light decorations to see while driving and walking. There were some animals out to enjoy. Food truck was there as well. My daughter loves this zoo, she had a great time. Princess parties were there as well, she was excited to meet them all. Great job to Indian Creek Zoo.

We signed up for the Sloth Experience, which enables you to touch and feed the sloths. Our guide Jill was very knowledgeable and gracious. She told us a great deal about sloths. The experience was a great time. I can't think of a time when I had laughed so much. Overall a great experience. Even though the zoo is closed for the winter, sloth experiences are still available. I highly recommend!

  • 5/5 heather e. 3 years ago on Google
We did the sloth experience, it was great. We go to up close to three different sloths and fed them. We were also able to pet one of the sloylths on the head. It was limited to 4 people as the enclosure you go in is small, this was nice and we had ample time to spend petty and feeding them. Note: This is sadly not recommend to someone that is in a wheelchair.

This is the cutest Zoo!! We were able to navigate the entire zoo in one trip. It is on a smaller scale than the Toledo Zoo, but it’s still enjoyable! We were able to feed most of the animal. They have peacock. The peacocks are so beautiful. They have lama’s, camel’s, deer all you can feed. They sell carrots at the gate. They have food trucks. We didn’t feel overwhelmed, mind you it was pretty hot!! This is a nice family friendly situation.

We took our four year old and two year old and had an absolute blast! We didn’t know anything about the zoo so came in with no expectations. The kangaroos alone made the trip worth it. We got to feed carrots to several of the animals and really get up close to many of the animals. The zoo is not so big that the kids got tired from walking throughout the whole zoo, but it is setup in a way that they still have a lot of great exhibits to see. Then, by chance, on our way out through the gift shop, we ran into the zoo owner. He was a VERY nice guy, very personable, and had a great chat with our children. They couldn’t stop talking about how nice of a guy he is. We look forward to making another trip back!
