Total injustice to the name. Food doesn’t feel fresh. Had breakfast,which was far below standards. Washrooms and washing areas appeared to be very poorly maintained and unhygienic, even in the morning. Cannot rate more than 2*, being an highway restaurant. AVOIDABLE!!!!!

Food is nice both taste wise and quality wise. Reasonable also. Good ambience for dine in. Located beside wayanad Kozhikode highway at Vythiri. So good place for have food during road trip.

Food was excellent. Lot of options for vegetarian food unlike other restaurants nearby. Limited parking space available at the front for cars.

Delicious homely food. Must have fish We tried the non veg meal and the fish curry with kerela paratha and some fish fry. The fish seemed very fresh and the way they cooked it was delicious and soft. Absolutely loved the taste of the food. Having a meal here must be on your list if you ever visit Wayanad.

India gate has been my daily dining destination for quite some time, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently delicious, and the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. I appreciate the warm and welcoming atmosphere, making it feel like a second home. I’ve had countless wonderful meals here. And I look forward to many more.

Location with amble car parking and near to Gandhigramam. The food was just average for Kerala breakfast options. And the taste was not up to the level of normal Kerala breakfast. Not so recommended!

India Gate Restaurant As the name suggests this restaurant is dedicated to different states of Indian food lovers Food quality and Service is Outstanding . Ambience inside the restaurant with the Indian culture Grilled seafood is the specialty and they do it extremely well. The restaurant is quite popular and busy and you might end up waiting for a table. Service is rushed, but polite. They also serve Arabic, Burger and Sandwiches I ordered grilled fish and a delectable prawn biriyani was fluffy and delicious and comes with freshly made raita. Worth many many repeat visits.

I never expected Wayanad to have so many vegetarian restaurants. One of the best North Indian Restaurants we found here. Amazing staff, service and mainly the food. We get good North Indian food options here and the service is really good. They have a great ambiance and ample parking facility. The price is on a higher end. Visited during evening hours.They were freshly prepared and were delicious.

It’s 10 mins walking distance to Vythiri Village resort. We used to go to this place for our daily breakfast. Very tasty food I must say, especially if you like North Indian food. Their South Indian was also very tasty. We had great time here. They have good masala dosa, poori bhaaji & stuffed Paranthas. Lovely tea as well. Lunch on Sunday’s were crazy, as there is too much rush. So we had literally stand behind tables to grab those before someone else does 😂. This was an experience to remember. But still it was worth it. The staff is polite & the service was reasonably fast. I would definitely recommend this place.

Jain food was available. We tried Paneer butter masala was Ok. Also tried Dal Fry was ok too. 🫓 chapati was good. Then we tried 2 🍜soup Cream of tomato 🍅 and Hot and sour cream was not that good Hot and sour was fine. And last one which I like was Bhindi masala I liked the taste. Overall good options for vegetarian 🌱

Tasty lunch in a neat, hygienic place. We had lunch from the same restaurant years ago and forgotten the name and place, but this time we have identified the location. The plate in which food is served is in a melamine container which is not preferred by many. Food tasted good, great care is given to the families in due time. I have gone thru the reviews and found many complaining about the delay which is mainly because to maintain the hygiene. Complaint from my daughter is that no fish is found in the fish curry..🐠. Rest is all best for the time...

Very bad food and service, we are staying in lux le resort and ordered food for 20 peoples for lunch, and got very poor food they told its mandhi and delivered arsbic rice, and alpham is not cooked well and its flavour is very bad, evening we called and talked to them they promised they will deliver Good food, in noon we got noodles good so we ordered noodles, and other items, and we got very salty noodles, around 5 noodles packet are not eaten around 75% is there, ordered chicken kadayi very bad not a word it deserve, its a basic thing to deliver quality and tasty food if they cant its better to shut down very frustrated😡😡😡

We stayed at the Vythiri Village Resort and this was the best restaurant in that locality. This is after checking out a couple of restaurants and deciding this was the perfect place for us. Right on the highway. Ample options in the menu - sea food, chicken, mutton, beef as well as vegetarian dishes. Plus they have a store that includes all kinds of snacks and beverages for you to pack for the road. There is a parking space also available in front of the restaurant. The owner is a very courteous and kind gentleman. The staff is also very attentive and polite. The taste of the food is excellent. They open at 8 for breakfast. Overall I highly recommend having your meals here as compared to any other restaurant in the locality.

We had dinner here and we did not like any of the dishes we ordered - Chicken lollipop, mushroom fry, egg fried rice , pineapple chat. None of the items has any flavour. Chaat was too salty. Chicken lollipop was over fried. We chose this restaurant after looking at the rating and reviews but it was way below expectations. I won't recommend it.

We had dinner one of the nights and the food was amazingggg… we had the Kerala Biryani and The chicken Alfaham :) We came back for breakfast and hogged on the iddiappam with green peas curry, ghee roast masala dosa and idli ! And it was one of the best meals in Wayanad :)

India gate Restaurant is an amazing place to visit in Wayanad. The food is delicious, the service is great and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The restaurant has a wide variety of dishes, ranging from North Indian curries to South Indian delicacies. The restaurant staff are very helpful and friendly and make sure that you have a pleasant dining experience. I really enjoyed my experience and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Wayanad.

Stayed in club mahindra vythiri and since its very near to the resort we stopped here to have meals : 1. Food is ok but very expensive 2. Fishes please ask the rates before you order and they are no good cooks its average but overly priced 3. Breakfast only poori saagu is good idli is not so good or hot 4. Never order thali it sucks very old veggies cooked and they serve food very cold probably made early morning and served in the afternoon 5. Never order costly fishes because they give very thin pieces and not at all worth. 6. Very less waiters probably family people are only engaged to do this job and they are not attentive or watchfull you need to always take there attention yourself. 7. Actually after getting frustrated of eating here we found “Wilton” restaurant just 5kms from vythiri village club mahindra resort and i wont say anything because once you step in the restaurant it throws the magic on you through there ambience taste and hospitality, regret one thing about this trip that we couldn’t come across this first day itself. Wouldnt have eaten in india gate atall , Please do try there instead of wasting your money here. Club mahindra members “Wilton” is a paradise for food lovers do consider it.

Ordered pomfret grill fish, chicken mail tikka and tandoori chicken biryani. Fish was very good. Biryani was fine. Malai tikka was not as expected, it tasted little bland and the chicken was mix of little hard pieces and normal ones. Also, Washrooms were maintained neatly.

Food is tasty, quantity is sufficient. Price you pay is fully justified. Service is fast and good. If you are at Vythiri consider going there. Located on the main road and parking is available for cars.

Nice restaurant in vythiri area. Food was delicious and service was prompt. It's a good option for tourists as the menu is very diverse and they also have clean restrooms. Biryani ani select kerala spl dishes are must try here.

Good food with reasonable price..

Fantastic eating experience, from walking in the door and being greeted by employee, seated and drink, order taken may be 5 minutes. Meal was served hot and authentic taste of spices, delicious curries, yummy yummy. Overall must place to visit for foodies with family. :) The only concern is too many varieties to try but limited time that we got hahaha
