Heaven on earth.. Hills on one side, a meadow on the other and a stream and a small waterfall in the middle. Switzerland this, ooty that. Look at this place. It is places like this that make us forget all our life's problems for a while. Whenever someone ask me what is there to see in your area i suggest them this place first. I wish kozhikode will be known for this place as much as we are known for our beaches. A great place for family time as well as friendly chit chat or some romance in any season. Around the evening this place turns all colourful but Early in the morning this place is a spectacle but they only allow visitors after 9am. Also waste management of this place is horrible. Please dont throw plastic and other garbages here. Even after taking an entry fee to step foot inside they dont do much to keep this place clean. ♿️✅️ no steps. 🚻 washroom available. 🚘 paid & free street parking available.

Its a beautiful place. Large area of meadow. A river flowing through the meadow. Its a great place to spend some time with family. We can bath in water, where its not deep. Ticket is 30 per person. Can take some beautiful photos. Better to avoid hot times like noon.

Very good place for hanging out with friends and family. But the opening time is really really a disappointment. It looks very good early in the morning and gets opened by 9 am 😥. Even though there is an entry fee, proper washroom or rest area is not provided at all the entrances.

Safest area to take your kids for swimming. Clean and fresh water flowing from the mountains. Threre is an entry fee of 30 Rs for adults 10 Rs for kids to enter. There is a closing time at 7 pm, so plan accordingly.

Best place for a one day outing, a meadow located in the both sides of a small river with some great views. Best place to bring kids, large gatherings, swimming and also you can sit in the tree shades end enjoy the day.

The lovely Kariyathumpara. No wonder how the place has significance from a very long time. The place needs a ticket for entry which can be purchased near the entrance. Beautiful lush green landscape and a stream running beautifully through the centre. In summer the place is so hot and will be beyond tolerable, with even the stream dried and limited shade from few trees. There is a pay and use comfort station maintained by local authority which is good and helpful to the visitors. There are a few snack and food shops in front. Cars and bikes can be parked at various pay and park grounds. One ground is there directly opposite to the entrance, meaning you don't have to park at the very beginning and walk till the entrance, given the crowd is limited.

Such a pretty meadow surrounding a river alongwith pine trees and surrounded by green mountain ranges. Altogether with breezy cold climate. This beauty is not appreciated enough by the people. Hope there'll be actions taken by the govt to promote this place. Was not crowded. It's a usual spot for pre & post wedding photoshoots. There was horse riding before. Now horses are there but no riding. The water is not that much deep. Can take a bath in the streaming chilly river. Bathroom availability ✅ Entry fee is 30RS for one person. A delightful experience is assured.

A great place to visit, when I visited this place the ticket charge was only 30 rupees. The place is not so crowded and all the parking spots are paid. I think winter is the best time to visit this place.

Our visit during the Onam festival was met with excessive crowd. The landscape was beautiful, with a gently flowing river where we enjoyed a refreshing bath. However, despite an entrance fee, there were no officials or guides at service. Worst of all, the appalling roads and infrastructure, with no signs of forthcoming development, significantly hindered our experience. The conspicuous lack of waste bins further undermined the location's appeal. Overall, improvement is desperately needed for a better visitor experience.

Best place to hangout with family and friends to spend a wonderful evening. It has a majestic view of the Mountains and river through the mountain valley. Totally enjoyable 🙂

Still waters of the Peruvannamoozhi basin and the vast green expanses around its banks set a serene stage for photoshoot. A nice place to hang out with friends and families. Better go by private vehicles as public transport to this place and around is very very limited.

A mesmerizing beauty all round. Best time to visit is post a rain or after the water level is decently less(this is part of the river). It's a miny Idukki(beautiful grassland)without the cold climate :D You'll find lot of places to relax under the shadows of large trees. A big request to anyone visiting this place is not to litter this with plastics that you carry...

It's very underrated and a good place to visit. The entry fee is only 30/- per person and there is ample parking space for vehicles. Though you have to pay an extra 20/- for parking. The whole valley is surrounded by hills and dense forest and it is a perfect place for chilling and relaxing. The water is not that deep and one can take a bath in the chilly river water. Families usually come for a picnic.

The place is so beautiful with lush green landscape. Must visit place if you are travelling around. It's so vast that you won't miss the privacy. Government has made it more organised by introducing ticketing with nominal charges per head for entry. You may find a little bit difficulty in parking car. Be cautious with the water body around which has taken many lives. Be vigilant with your kids.

One of the best and beautiful view points in Calicut, acres of green landscapes surrounded by hills with a small river to swim as well, best place for a wedding photography or photoshoots, good for an evening or morning family gathering, sometimes there is horse riding as well, no entry fee, road side parking is possible and paid parking as well.
