Kunjali Marakkar Museum is the ancestral house of the last of the marakkar family. It is located in Kottakkal area in Iringal. There is entrance fees of around Rs 10 and charges for Camera. The property itself is very small but it is well maintained. The staff at the museum clearly explained the history of the family and their importance. There are some artifacts of those times exhibited in the museum. There is no dedicated parking spot, but vehicles can easily be parked by the roadside.

A small place with great historical value. It's a portion of the actual house of the Kunjali Marakkar. The Kunjali Marakkar Museum is located about five kilometres from Payyoli, at Kottakkal near Puthanpadam. Some of the prominent displays include an introduction to the history of Kunjali Marakkar, the sword used by him, cannon balls and some other war relics belonging to the period of the Zamorins. It's open on all days except Mondays and the ticket rate is 10 Rs per person.

This is a monumental place where lot of historic moments took place. Since most of the Marakkar village was destroyed, only a few items are here left to see. But, special mention to the staff here who took the time and detailed us about the whole 4 Kunjalis and the battles they've had done. Ticket rate is very reasonable too .. Rs. 10 for Adults and Rs.20 for photography.

It's a small museum which is run by the Department of Culture of Archeological Society of Govt of Kerala. There are only a few items on display. The person sitting at the ticket counter is able to explain a lot about the are facts here. One can park a car just outside this museum. One can spend about half an hour to 45 minutes at this museum. It's open from 9am to 5pm and closed on Mondays.

Must visit!! A small, well-maintained, historical site. Please meet and speak to the anthropologist and Museum Guide, Mr. Ramesh. Your visit to this place is incomplete without a conversation with him to understand the connection to culture and history.

Calm and quiet place. Renovation works were going on during our visit. The museum local guide was friendly and explained the history beautifully. A model of the area and fort was displayed in the museum along with artifacts. Shocked to hear the story of betrayal and the incidents led to complete destruction.
