Let me tell you one thing first, there are lots of parking space available at this waterfalls. Dont settle for the first parking you see.. parking facilities are there just beside the ticket counter. Climbing the hill towards the falls is very difficult so, dont hesitate to take your car or any other vehicle towards the ticket counter. Good scenic view, nice trek, the different levels was good fun. Especially liked the roadways and presence of guides to prevent accidents View is good and worth the effort Try Maggi at one of the small huts on your way down, was divine.

I’ve visited during the summer time and obviously there is no waterfall available at the moment. Only a few leftovers of the water which is been trapped inside the rocks were available there. We have to pay an entry fees of ₹50 per person and extra fees of ₹10 for parking our bike. The 3 star review is for the efforts they’re making to keep the tourist destination active. Even there is no water available, they’re keeping it as a trekking area with ropes attached to the adjacent rocks and make it look like a small adventure spot. And in order to keep the waterfall active, they’re circulating small amounts of water to the top and let it flow downstream 🫣( we can easily find this trick ). Although it is a good spot for spending some time. As informed by one of the staffs, during rainy season, these rocks would be covered with heavy waterfalls and we cannot be able to go near the falls during that time. If you had time, don’t forget to visit this place as well.

Very well maintained place with enough security measures. It's a moderate climb to the different view points of the waterfall and there are security guards at each point who advises you on the best places to take photos and relax. The entrance fees are quite reasonable and overall the experience was really nice.

Sharing review as on 16 Apr 2022. Drove an hour to reach the place. There are several parking plots upto the waterfall. Before entering you need to buy tickets and as on today only 1200 tickets in a day is allowed. Once this is sold out, you won't be able to enter the waterfall as they don't issue u a ticket. So go as early as possible as they have this weird rule as on today. Water levels were very low in April when we went. Wasn't worth the drive.

Meenmutty Waterfalls is one of the must visit places of natural beauty if your a visitor of wayanad. There are tickets available in the beginning of the trekking spot in a counter and one has to Trek all the way up to the falls through beautiful eye-catching forests with lots of birds chirping and flying around. The walk up to the waterfall is beautiful once you are in the fairly but not too dense forests that is on the way. Once you are tired of walking all the way up, the waterfalls' view make it all go away in a snap! It's that worth of a watch. There will be guides near the waterfall to whom you will have to show the tickets that you have taken from below the hill before begining the trekking. This is an awesome spot for getting good photographs especially with your wide angle lens on!

Waterfall had very clean water and it was enjoyable. There are two points one takes to water and other to view point. As it charges entry fee of Rs. 50 crowd was reasonable. There are lot of parking places near basement village however one can take vehicle upto highest point from there on it's only 5-10 minutes walking.

We visited in the first week of June which is the onset of Monsoon. There wasn’t a lot of water in the falls however it was a good 1 hour hike to the top and then down. They have ropes to help you with the trek. For those who don’t prefer trekking, they can come back from half way. The view from top was nice. We visited on a weekday so it wasn’t crowded.

The tar road stops at the ticket counter and then we have to walk through a kacha road to reach the waterfalls. And then the trail follows the waterfalls by its border upwards. So beautiful and prestine. We could get into the water at designated points. There's security people at all these poibts guiding us what not to do. Strong side rails and ropes help us in the climb all along. Loved the visit.

The place is scenic and ticket costs ₹36 per person, they accept UPI payments as well. It has moderate trekking route till the emerging waterfall. Good safety, precautionary measures are maintained and guard are present throughout. However, once you reach the top, there is NO going back same route, you need to take different defined route till exit. So, if you’re planning to take bath, do it below on some waterfall streams and while returning you can go atop and move outside from there. Note: There is no cloth changing area at the fall however, private parking area owner provide their bathrooms for changing.

Banasuramala Meenmutty Waterfalls, Wayanad Location: The waterfall is located near the Banasura Sagar Dam, which is India's largest and Asia's second-largest earth dam. It's approximately 29 kilometers away from Kalpetta in Wayanad. Description: Meenmutty Waterfalls is a cascading three-tiered waterfall, plummeting from a height of over 300 meters. The name "Meenmutty" is derived from Malayalam words "Meen" (fish) and "Mutty" (blocked), implying a place where fish gets blocked. Access: Reaching the waterfall requires a 2 km hike through the lush deciduous forests of the Western Ghats, which in itself is a delightful experience for nature lovers. The trek can be moderately challenging, so it's advisable to wear comfortable shoes. Attractions: Natural Beauty: The view of the waterfall, especially during the monsoon season when it's in full flow, is breathtaking. The surrounding forest and the serene ambiance add to its charm. Banasura Sagar Dam: After visiting the waterfall, many tourists also visit the nearby Banasura Sagar Dam, which offers boating facilities and panoramic views of the Banasura hills. Precautions: During the monsoon, the path can get slippery, and the water flow can be intense. It's crucial to be cautious and preferably visit with a local guide. It's advisable not to swim or play in the water without proper knowledge of the depth and currents. Conclusion: Banasuramala Meenmutty Waterfalls is a hidden gem in the heart of Wayanad, offering visitors a chance to witness nature's grandeur and the raw beauty of the Western Ghats. A visit here is not just about the waterfall but also about the journey through the dense forests and the symphony of chirping birds and gushing water. If you're planning a visit, it's always a good idea to check local conditions or any seasonal restrictions to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

Must visit this place. You can't afford to enjoy it. There is a walk of approx. 1 km, trekking of 1 km. But you will enjoy the waterfall. Carry your clothes if you want to take a bath under a waterfall. However there is no facility available for changing clothes. There is no separate bath for ladies and gents. It is a common place. People enjoy here inside water or sitting at the edge by keeping their legs in water.

With its three-tiered cascades and a height of around 300 meters, the waterfall creates a mesmerizing sight. The trek through the lush forests to reach the falls adds an adventurous element to the experience. Once there, the roaring water and misty atmosphere create a captivating ambiance. A good waterfall when it rains... Go for top view point at Rainy season... Thats a breathtaking view. While its not rains we can bath on some natural pools. Better to go with a team so that you can enjoy a lot. Stay is available and I can suggest bonita banasura for an affordable stay. Ticket rate is 50 per person and no charges for camera. The visitors are not allowed to enter in to the waterfall as it is dangerous. Parking facility is available. Go for parking at the TOP. Usualy 30 Rs for car and 10 Rs for bike.. This is a good hideout spot near Banasura.

This waterfalls is ahead of banasura dam. we had been here few days after rain but there is less water and thats why you are allowed to play. You get parking space, forest department will provide you ticket for watching waterfalls from up or directly go to falls where you can play and have fun. There will guards to caution, few places you will have a no entry. You have changing rooms here. You can spend good time if you go on week day.

Beautiful waterfalls. The ticket price is 36 per person. You need to walk around 1.5km from the ticket counter to reach the falls. The path is beautiful and is along the stream. Take care of slippery rocks on the way. Handrails are provided for your safety and guides are also there.

In summer the water flow is less, but it is a delight to watch this waterfall. Make the climb through the ropeway to see the spectacle close. If you want to have a bath,do it on lower reaches as the gaurds do not allow it at the top

Better go in morning because per day 1000 tickets are only available. Once sold out, entry to waterfall will not be there. It was the greatest experience of our trip. Couse there is rock climbing path which gives you adventures feel. Lots of paid parking available.

It's a peaceful and beautiful location. But u need to time it right, come right after the end of monsoon season and you would be happy with your decision of visiting here, else there ain't gonna be any water. P.S: It's a little bit of a hike to get here. If you truly want to enjoy the trail, you got to go all the way to the end of the trail which will end with you jumping over rocks with ropes to assist. If you go through with it it's a fun place to be.

Beautiful waterfall, but the accessibility could be improved. The road leading to the waterfall has challenges, and they only sell 1500 tickets daily, even after the ticket counter closes. This limitation might inconvenience visitors. Additionally, the site is not wheelchair-friendly, which could be considered for enhancement.

The waterfall is very enjoyable with clean water flowing down. The water is cool and clean. There are a couple spots where you can have a bath and relax. At the time we went, the Waterfall had very little crowd and we basically had the entire waterfall to ourselves. There is plenty of parking leading up to the waterfall. There is an entry ticket also.

You need to buy ticket and walk alot. Recommended to visit in winter if want to climb using rope to falls. If rocks are slippery they wont allow to climb. They are space where you can take bath in the water stream.

Visited in summer time so not enough water in the waterfall. Only thin stream of water was flowing. However, good place to have photography.
