Lemme give a clear description. Per day the tickets to island are given 575. There are two entry gates you can choose as per your stay and nearest one. If you want to go to island(on the bamboo raft, they will leave to other side of water) Reach by 7am to get the tickets and counter will open by 9 am. 1. If you have not been to any nature place like forest, greenary, hill station then it excites you definitely otherwise you don't find anything interesting. 2. The entry fee is 94 rps to island and bamboo rafting is 100 per head 3. After getting entry to island, there will forest and you need to walk for 1km to reach the end destination which is Kabini River. 4. Guards will be there to help you through out the way. 5. You can experience forest feel through the walk and water is not that clean but if you are interested, you can bath also. 6. Dormitory rooms, cloak room and toilets are available. The Snack shops are less but you can get home made chocolate, spices etc. 7. If there is no entry to island after the 575 tickets, go for Bamboo rafting which is worthy. 8. On weekends, the place is very crowded and you don't get tickets easily. Overall : Good place if you have not seen any forest or greenary places. Can spend atleast half day. A pure natural place to visit. It has its own beauty in everywhere. Water flowing through the rocks so we can walk through the water and reach the next island. There are many islands are seperated by rivers. Bamboo river rafting was also there but it is not that much adventures.

We went with a hope of visiting this lovely island formed by kabini river. The ride to this place was awesome ( we drove from tholpetty), through thick forests, lovely fresh coffee estates and beautiful houses decked up for th holiday season. Nearest town is kartikulam, mananthavady. Sadly now the ride to the island is shut down by the eco tourism department ,however you have bamboo rafting facility available here .all you have to do is just sit in the bamboo boat and scroll through it. The water is deep and filled with crocodiles so they provide a life jacket. Duration of the ride is 15minutes. It's worth it if your looking up for new experiences, it's open only till 4pm post which they shut down. Nice place to chill and take photos. There r plenty of hotels around the area .also they have a zip lining activity as well.

I was thinking how good its going to be in the beginning after reading about the place in the internet. But after visiting there last week, I felt totally refreshed. It will definitely be worthy if you love nature. Kabini river flows though the island and it's in the jungle you will have to walk in to reach the river flow. The rocks there are slippery, so take care while climbing. There are many forest guards posted nearby for the rescue. Enjoyed the day a lot and the visit here means you will be spending your whole day here so plan wisely on your schedules if you are running out of time. On the way from the Island, there is a tribal museum which is also worth visiting. Must strongly recommend this both places. The staffs are very friendly and they do their works efficiently. Claps for their hardworkπŸ™‚πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Visiting this island was such an amazing experience, and the best part of our Wayanad trip. During peak times, the queue for the ferry to/ fro the island would be huge, hence take the back entrance, and start early in the morning, if you do not want to waste time in the queue. The island has beautiful waterways, wooden bridges, mangroves, and good spots for bathing. Walking through the wilderness, itself, gives you a great experience. Not suitable to elderly people though.

Due to heavy rain fall, boating was not allowed. But bamboo boating is the best thing to experience in kuruvadweep. Try to avoid in July to August

Just a hike of 1 km inside the Forrest, you can enjoy kabini river. Chance of encountering elephants as well. We encountered elephant passing. The tickets are limited to 575 person only. There is an alternative 2nd gate as well you can try if you did not get the tickets at the main entrance.

I am mentioning some imp points for you. 1. In case you are planning to visit the place visit early as the tickets are limited and you can avoid good amount of rush. 2. You will find a lot of tourist buses there so yes it becomes way too crowded. 3. The tickets charges are fine but there are two types of tickets which I wasn't aware about. So one bamboo rafting and the other one is boating. 4. There is a difference in bamboo rafting. In this you can explore half of the dweep i guess and enjoy rafting around. In sunny days carry umbrella so that you can protect yourself from the heat. 5. Bamboo boating is so boring they take you from one point to other and leave you at the island where you can walk and walk and walk and there is nothing to do. 6. It's a plastic free zone. So avoid taking any kind of plastic because they do che k everything. Thanks. Rest is up to you .

The island is only accessible by boat, which adds to the thrill of the journey. Once you reach the island, you'll be greeted by a lush green forest that's home to a variety of rare and exotic flora and fauna. The trees are so dense that the sunlight barely filters through, creating a cool and soothing atmosphere. There are several walking trails on the island that take you deep into the forest. You'll come across small streams, waterfalls, and ponds that are perfect for a refreshing dip. The highlight of the island, however, is the bamboo rafting experience. You get to glide along the river on a bamboo raft, taking in the beautiful scenery and spotting some rare birds and animals. The island is well-maintained and the staff is friendly and helpful. They provide you with all the necessary information and equipment to make your visit comfortable and enjoyable. The only downside is that the island can get a bit crowded during peak tourist season, so it's best to visit early in the morning or during weekdays.

Decent place for a one time visit. Lots and lots of lovely trees and streams to take in. Consider the following before visit: 1) Cap on the maximum intake - 575 people get tickets. Rest get to go home right from the ticketing counter. No way to know before. I'll advise you to reach before 10 am. 2) Ferry/ Changadam ride - It could have been fun, if it lasted more than 5 minutes. They might as well have built a small bridge. 3) No Amenities or washrooms on the island. 4) It's only for Nature lovers. It's just a walk towards the stream and back. 5) The Kabini river is quite lovely. Three stars are only for the dip you get to do there and the lovely trees surrounding it. Note : if you want to really take a complete dip, and really enjoy the water: there's really no place to change or freshen up. You'll have to walk drenched all the way back and take the raft and then walk all the way to the parking lot. Coz that's where the changing area is.

Nothing much to see. Just a bamboo raft for 2 minutes which tales you to other end of dirty backwater. From there you trek through jungle for around 1 km and reach to a spot where river stream is flowing and you can sit there and see that river flowing. Children can take mild bath depending upon river condition and weather. During weekenda you need to reach early as tickets get over. Entry restricted for 575+575 people from each gate (2 gates are there). I visited on monday and there was nothing rush. If in wayanad you want to just cover a spot, you can go here but at present not recommended specifically that it should be seen.

It's worth only if u enjoy walking in forest trail. U get to cross a small river in a bamboo raft and then can walk for about an km in forest. One can enjoy in water in the forest, there is a small changing room. Better plan in the morning...

Decent one time visit place near to waynad. Try to visit on weekdays as the tickets are limited to 575 per day. The entry cost is 110 per person for the island and for bamboo river rafting you need to pay extra 100rs per pax approx which lasts about 20 mins which is not worth it. The nature around this place is very beautiful leaving that there is nothing to do around this place.

Beautiful route to drive. Kuruva Island in Wayanad is a hidden paradise that offers a serene escape into nature. The island is filled with lush greenery, clear streams, and beautiful walking trails. It's a perfect place to relax, enjoy the peaceful surroundings, and dip your feet in the cool river waters. Kuruva Island's commitment to preserving the environment is commendable. I would suggest coming here early and booking the tickets instead of waiting for hours in the queue.

good place to visit during October to the end of January; during the summer, water in the Kabani River flowing through Kuruvadweep will be very low, so we cannot explore the beauty well. Bamboo rafts are used here to cross the river inside the island. There are a lot of trees, and you will feel a calm atmosphere there. Some times, the elephants and other wild animals may be on the island at that time, and the forest officers will restrict the entry of tourists.
