Absolutely beautiful, especially for someone like myself who was originally born in Moscow. It was raining but that let me take beautiful people-less shots! Highly recommend buying the full access pass, but only if you like Russian history. The cathedrals are beautiful.

Must visit. 3 things to see- the bridge while entering the Kremlin, cathedral square, go up the tower, and armoury. If short on money skip the armoury. Washroom is free inside. Small snacks available. They are strict about closing times.

A place full of history, the churches, and gardens are well worth the visit. Its impressive how this place is so well maintained. You can see the cannons left behind by Napoleon. You can also see iconic buildings from Russia's history although the tourist can really only see them from the outside, yet its still very worthwhile.

I guess visiting Moscow without visiting the Kremlin makes no sense. A must see! The churches in the Cathedral Square are unique monuments. Don't forget to see the Tsar's Canon and the Bell! Get your camera ready for LOTS of photos. The ticket is 700 rubles.

Fantastic experience. We took the opportunity to take a cruise excursion into Moscow on high speed train. We had the most wonderful tour guide who had a great head of knowledge. It was a long day but so worth the money for the trip. Loved every minute of it. Would recommend the trip.

This is a very important landmark and historical location used by the Russian government. My favourite period is the Soviet era which presented a country as a world superpower and was led for 29 years by Stalin, which was both praised and criticized. Gorbachev introduced relaxed rules and the country dissolved, however it remains a key place to see in Moscow and world landmark, as well as a building of beauty linked with Tsarism, Communism and Capitalism.

A Glimpse into Russian History and Architecture The Kremlin Architectural Complex beside Red Square, and it was an unforgettable experience. The entrance, conveniently located near the State History Museum, made it easy to access the treasures within. Opting for the Kremlin ticket, I was treated to a comprehensive tour of this historic site. The Cathedral of the Archangel and the Dormition Cathedral left me in awe with their breathtaking architecture and rich history. The intricate details and sheer grandeur of these structures were truly remarkable. Exploring the complex felt like stepping back in time, offering a fascinating insight into Russian culture, art, and politics. The well-preserved historical artifacts and exhibits added depth to the experience. I highly recommend the Kremlin ticket for anyone interested in immersing themselves in the heritage of Russia. It's a journey through centuries of culture and power, leaving you with a newfound appreciation for this iconic site. Don't miss out on this opportunity to witness the heart of Moscow's history.

The Kremlin sits on Borovitsky Hill, rising above the Moscow River in the center of the city. Its first white-stone walls and towers went up in 1367-68, and a rebuild little more than a century later employed skilled artists and architects from across Europe to shape the site into roughly its modern form and appearance. During the early decades of the Soviet era, the Kremlin became an exclusive enclave where the state’s governing elite lived and worked. The site remains the official residence of the president of the Russian Federation but access to other areas within the walls has loosened considerably. Museums now display some of Russian history’s cherished relics here, and church services are once again performed in the Kremlin’s numerous cathedrals.

ArticleMediaAdditional Info The Kremlin Explore the history and architecture of the Kremlin complex in Moscow Explore the history and architecture of the Kremlin complex in Moscow Overview of the Kremlin, Moscow. Contunico © ZDF Enterprises GmbH, Mainz See all videos for this article As throughout its history, the Kremlin remains the heart of the city. It is the symbol of both Russian and (for a time) Soviet power and authority, and it has served as the official residence of the president of the Russian Federation since 1991. The Kremlin’s crenellated red brick walls and its 20 towers (19 with spires) were built at the end of the 15th century, when a host of Italian builders arrived in Moscow at the invitation of Ivan III (the Great). One of the most important towers, the Saviour (Spasskaya) Tower, leading to Red Square, was built in 1491 by Pietro Solario, who designed most of the main towers; its belfry was added in 1624–25. The chimes of its clock are broadcast by radio as a time signal to the whole country. Also on the Red Square front is the St. Nicholas (Nikolskaya) Tower, built originally in 1491 and rebuilt in 1806. The two other principal gate towers—the Trinity (Troitskaya) Tower, with a bridge and outer barbican (the Kutafya Tower), and the Borovitskaya Tower—rise from the western wall.

Very good museums. Don't miss the armory! The only weird thing is that the guards are super strict. You can't cross the street if it isn't a zebra crossing. Otherwise very well maintained and the staff is friendly.

I have never ever experience such an amazing place till now my whole life you have to visit the Kremlin Square if possible once in your lifetime it should & must be a part of your bucket list. It is so peaceful once you have seen & felt this amazing place you will never want to go back but as all good things should never been let apart. The most brilliant thing is the carnival which is held outside of the fort is truly breathtaking no words can define this place I wish I could write more about it this is the real experience which is a must....

The complex is the official residence of the Russian president. The name means "a castle within the city". During the Soviet Union, it was used to host senior high-level officials such as general secretaries, prime ministers, presidents, ministers and commissioners. It was declared a World Heritage Site in 1990 along with Red Square. Worth the long queue and the quite pricey ticket (extra charge to see the diamond caveau),it is an immersive experience through Russia's history and art . You can admire clothes, transports, objects and armours and learn a lot through the descriptions attached. The surroundings are also rich in things to see with their 5 cathedrals, the giant bell and the cannon. Sadly you are not allowed to take pictures inside the museum

There is Audio guide for Kremlin, instead of expensive tour guides! You need to pay at the ticket shop Museum office or online, and pick it up from the tour info next door (a bit confusing system). There are also apps which provide good info. If you buy tickets online, you still need to show up at ticket office, queue, and pick them up (waste of time). If you don't buy them online, you need to come to ticket office (my suggestion is earlier than 8:30) to queue . Warning: there are different queue lines for each exhibition, be careful you are not wasting your time, and have multiple people queue in different lines if you are planning to see more than one exhibitions. I really enjoyed the armoury chamber, then guardians of times exhibitions, and last Diamond fund (in that order).

(Translated by Google) An iconic, beautiful place in the center of Moscow. It is interesting to visit there. Recommend. Nearby (there are eateries on Manezhnaya Square). Good accessibility with metro and ground transport, from where you can go to different parts of the city. The walls survived a lot of events, and were also rebuilt (from wooden to brick) and repainted (from white to red). And still no less beauty inside the walls. Tsar Bell, Tsar Cannon, Ivan the Great Bell Tower, Annunciation Cathedral and many others. Everything there is very beautiful and worth visiting and seeing. Two cons. 1. The price is clearly overpriced (excuse me. I got to the Nesvizh Castle for 385 Russian rubles, to the Vyborg Castle - 200 rubles, to Peterhof (the Lower Park, where the fountains are) - for 400 rubles. 700 rubles. I was in Kazan for free). 2. There are a lot of screaming Chinese who do not always understand the norms of behavior.

(Translated by Google) In 1147, Prince Yuri Dolgoruky founded a city here. Then he called his brother to his city, as evidenced by the entry "Come to me, brother, in Moscow" (Old Slavonic) Then the city grew, people settled outside the Kremlin. These houses were called posad. Peasants, artisans, etc. settled in them. Under Ivan Kalita, the wooden walls, then already rotten, were replaced with oak ones, while the territory of the Kremlin itself was expanded. Before leaving for the Kulikovo field, Dmitry Donskoy surrounded the city with walls of white stone, and he himself left and defeated the Tatars with Khan Mamai at the Kulikovo field. But after the arrival of the prince back to Moscow, Moscow was captured and defeated by the Mongol Khan Tokhtamysh. After that, the Kremlin changed more than once, and became approximately the way we see it today under Ivan the Terrible, who was the first Russian Tsar. (Fragment of the chronicle: "... I am the Tsar ..." (Staroslaviansk.)) During the time of troubles, False Dmitry 1 and False Dmitry 2 (Tushinsky thief) hid in the Kremlin, and even ruled a little. Peter the first moved the capital from Moscow to St. Petersburg, so Moscow became just a large city. At that time in Moscow, everything was actively built up with houses of the Baroque type (approx. Babaevskaya factory). During the Soviet Union, Moscow again became the capital of the USSR. Then in Moscow there were many of those buildings that we see today, for example, high-rise buildings or ordinary Khrushchev buildings. In those years, Moscow grew very strongly and absorbed such cities as Tushino, Babushkin, the villages of Perovo, Lianozovo, etc. In the early nineties, when the USSR collapsed, there were a lot of debates, hostilities, conflicts in Moscow. At the beginning of the 2000s and 2000s, under Yuri Luzhkov, in Moscow, they restored what they had lost under the USSR. In 2010, when Sergei Semyonovich Sobyanin came, Moscow was laid to be restored. Now Moscow is a large and beautiful city not only in Russia, but also in the world.

The name "Kremlin" means "fortress inside a city"and is often also used metonymically to refer to the government of the Russian Federation in a similar sense to how "White House" refers to the Executive Office of the President of the United States. It previously referred to the government of the Soviet Union (1922–1991) and its highest members (such as general secretaries, premiers, presidents, ministers, and commissars). The term "Kremlinology" refers to the study of Soviet and Russian politics. The Kremlin is open to the public and offers individual and group guided tours.Visible are the Armoury Chamber, Tsar Cannon, Tsar Bell, artillery pieces, and the exposition of Russian wooden sculpture and carvings. The site had been continuously inhabited by Finno-Ugric peoples since the 2nd century BC. The East Slavs occupied the south-western portion of Borovitsky Hill as early as the 11th century, as evidenced by a metropolitan seal from the 1090s which was unearthed by Soviet archaeologists in the area. The Vyatichi built a fortified structure (or "grad") on the hill where the Neglinnaya River flowed into the Moskva River. Up to the 14th century, the site was known as the 'grad of Moscow'. The word "Kremlin" was first recorded in 1331(though etymologist Max Vasmer mentions an earlier appearance in 1320 The grad was greatly extended by Prince Yuri Dolgorukiy in 1156, destroyed by the Mongols in 1237 and rebuilt in oak in 1339.

Cap - Introduction to the Kremlin in Moscow Russia is a country with a fascinating history and attractions that attract many tourists every year. The Kremlin is one of the most important and, of course, the most beautiful attractions in Moscow. The 25,000-square-meter rectangular Kremlin has 700 rooms and a courtyard. The Kremlin used to be an Orthodox church, but today it has become a symbol not only for the city of Moscow, but for the whole of Russia. The Kremlin was the main residence of Russian tsars, built in the mid-nineteenth century. This palace was built on another building. Spectacular images of the Kremlin And the Kremlin towers. Apart from all this, this palace is also the official residence of the President of Russia. Although construction of the Kremlin began in 1842 and was completed in 1495, there is evidence of human settlement at the site of the Kremlin in 500 AD. However, what is recognized is that the history of Moscow dates back to 1147. Kremlin Palace There are other smaller palaces in the Kremlin Palace complex with different uses. The Palace of Facts, the Palace of the Tram, and the Golden Hall of the Tsar are well worth a visit. Interior view of the Kremlin The buildings in the Kremlin can be broadly divided into four categories: * Museums, historic buildings and churches (ticket admission) * Kremlin Palace (tours on request) * Kremlin Palace area (entrance with ticket) * Presidential residence and office buildings (closed to the public) The Kremlin Palace took its present form in 1849. The new palace was 125 meters long and had 700 rooms, including the private apartments of the first-person family in the country. In 1961 a new palace was added to the Kremlin - the Palace of Congresses. From the Palace of Congresses for various purposes such as; They use theatrical performances and public celebrations. The Moscow Kremlin or simply the Kremlin, is a fortified complex in the center of Moscow, overlooking the Moskva River to the south, Saint Basil's Cathedral and Red Square to the east, and the Alexander Garden to the west. It is the best known of the kremlins (Russian citadels), and includes five palaces, four cathedrals, and the enclosing Kremlin Wall with Kremlin towers. In addition, within this complex is the Grand Kremlin Palace that was formerly the Tsar's Moscow residence. The complex now serves as the official residence of the President of the Russian Federation and as a museum with 2,746,405 visitors in 2017. The name "Kremlin" means "fortress inside a city" and is often also used metonymically to refer to the government of the Russian Federation in a similar sense to how "White House" refers to the Executive Office of the President of the United States. It previously referred to the government of the Soviet Union (1922–1991) and its highest members (such as general secretaries, premiers, presidents, ministers, and commissars). The term "Kremlinology" refers to the study of Soviet and Russian politics. The Kremlin is open to the public and offers individual and group guided tours. You can see the Armoury Chamber, Tsar Cannon, Tsar Bell, artillery pieces, and the exposition of Russian wooden sculpture and carvings.

The symbolic heart of Russian power for over 600 years. The Moscow Kremlin is a fortified triangle on the banks of the River Moskva that served as the seat of the Grand Dukes of Moscow, the residence of the Russian czars, and the home of the Soviet leaders, and is now the official residence of the President of the Russian Federation. Its crenellated, red brick walls, 1.5 miles (2.5 km) long and punctuated by 20 towers, were built at the end of the 15th century at the request of Ivan III (the Great), Grand Prince of Moscow. They enclose an area of nearly 3,200,000 square ft (300,000 square m), within which are an eclectic assemblage of buildings, including three cathedrals and four palaces. Fusion of styles. The Kremlin’s architecture ranges from the simple white, Italianate-Byzantine beauty of the 15th-century Cathedral of the Assumption built for the Grand Prince, to the 17th-century Moscow Classical- style Senate building built in the reign of Catherine the Great, and the Modernist glass and concrete Soviet-era State Kremlin Palace.

(Translated by Google) The Moscow Kremlin (in Russian, Моско́вский Кремль, transliterated: Moskovskiy Kreml ') is a group of civil and religious buildings located in the center of Moscow, facing the Moskva River in the south, Red Square in the east and the Garden of Alexander in the west. It is the best known of the Russian kremlin and includes four palaces and four cathedrals, grouped within an enclosure delimited by the Kremlin Wall, which includes the Kremlin towers. Its name has become synonymous with the government of Russia since the time of the Soviet Union, similarly to the White House for the government of the United States. In ancient times the word "kreml" was used to designate the walled part in the center of a city. In 1147 Moscow was mentioned for the first time in 1156 a moat was dug and a wall of earth was erected. By the end of the 12th century a walled fort was built around the colony of merchants and craftsmen who congregated in Moscow as a refuge. At that time, all of Moscow occupied a third of the area of the present Kremlin. In 1238 the city opposed the Mongol hordes and in the 13th century, as the country recovered from devastation by the Tatars and Mongols, Moscow was gaining prominence. At the beginning of the 14th century, Moscow became the capital of the principality. In the Kremlin a white stone fortress is built and goes through a period of radical reconstruction: A new and solid wall is erected around the fortress with a perimeter of more than 1,600 meters and a moat is dug to the east, facing the plain (1339-1340). The Kremlin became the residence of the Moscow Prince and royal family. White stone cathedrals were built in the southern part of the Kremlin hill: the Assumption Cathedral (1326), the Church of Our Savior (1330), the Cathedral of St. Michael (1333), and in the center of the Kremlin a watchtower was erected, known as the bell tower of San Iván (1329). From 1344 to 1346 all the churches were decorated with frescoes and icons. Under the orders of Prince Dmitri Donskoi the gigantic white stone fortress with nine towers was built. Construction was completed in two years. Towards the end of the 15th century the Kremlin became the center of Russian culture. The principality became the state of Muscovy. The two hundred years of struggle to unify Russia culminated in the birth of the largest centralized state in Europe. During the 15th and 17th centuries, the architectural monuments that have been preserved to this day were built. The construction transformed the Kremlin, giving it a unique image so common to everyone: 2.25 kilometers of crenellated wall and 19 large towers, surrounded by a moat and by the Neglínnaya river, whose water level was raised by means of dikes (1485-1495). The Cathedral of the Assumption (1475-1479), built by Aristotle Fioravanti, became the central cathedral of the Russian state. The Church of the Deposition of the Mantle of the Virgin (Commemoration of the Feast of the Imposition) The Cathedral of the Annunciation (1485-1489). The Cathedral of the Archangel Michael (1505-1508) built by Alevíz Novy. The cemetery of the princes and tsars of Moscow, etc. In the 16th century the old Kremlin buildings were modified and underwent a general repair. During the various invasions of Russia (1605-1618), weakened by the Time of Trouble, the troops of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth took Moscow and the Kremlin from September 27, 1610 to November 4, 1612, until they were expelled by the patriotic uprising of Russia. From 1635 to 1656 the Chambers of the Patriarch and the small Church of the (Original) El Kremlin de Moscú (en ruso, Моско́вский Кремль, transliterado: Moskovskiy Kreml' ) es un conjunto de edificios civiles y religiosos situado en el centro de Moscú, frente al río Moscova en el sur, la Plaza Roja en el este y el Jardín de Alejandro en el oeste.

This is a place whoever visit we never forget in life. The symbolic monument of Russia is must see for everyone who come to Russia. Here is the Kremlin, the saint Basilica and Gum mall and other historic Places. It is always a lively place where thousand of people both tourists and dwellers come to relax, walk, enjoy and take nice pictures.

The Grand Kremlin Palace is part of the Kremlin complex and is located next to the Red Square and St Basil’s Cathedral in Russia’s capital city Moscow. The Kremlin is a fortress with enclosing walls and is built along the Moskva River. The name ‘Kremlin’ means ‘fortress within a city’. The more than 500-year-old Kremlin includes the wall with its 20 towers as well as four churches and five palaces within the walls. The Kremlin was once the residence of the Tzars. Today, it is where the Russian president resides. The Cathedral of Vasily the Blessed, usually refered to as Saint Basil’s Cathedral, is easily recognised due to its nine brightly coloured onion domes.

There was a feeling that I was in the lesson of 'the foundations and values of Orthodoxy', all these canons, the names of saints and other words are absolutely not interesting to me. I come to the museum to find out who, what and when, built-achieved-married and how it was. Very weak when compared with European museums, the same Isaac or the Vatican. There is little information about technologies, historical dates and linking events to this place, but a lot about "the most important events in the life of Mary and Christ are depicted here" or something like that. Did not impress.

(Translated by Google) Kremlin ... what reviews ??? Sheer aesthetic pleasure ... we took tickets without visiting churches and cathedrals, since the child did not want to go anywhere, constantly twitched, ran somewhere ... so there was an inspection and a walk. We were delighted. We walked along the Kremlin wall, looked in into the loopholes of the "swallows", if your child at the age of 6 is determined to listen to the guide and listen to his words, feel free to buy tickets with the entrance to all the halls, I just gave up (but what we saw is quite enough to sigh and remember now.

This city visit is recommended in the warm spring season, because in winter it is uncomfortable due to cold weather and snow. Food and souvenirs can be obtained at affordable prices. Beautiful place. I would love to visit again. All that I had read in the books about Moscow and about the Red square, I was so elated to be here. I just had a few hours in hand but I think the memories stay forever. Lovely place to see, take pictures, walk around and feel the beauty of Russia. I was speechless. Having come all the way from India to this place which my father had visited 30 years before my visit. I wanted to take pictures in the same place. He was very happy to see the pictures I took and sent it to him.

The ticket into the Kremlin is cheap but if you want go inside the armory or other buildings, you should buy other ticket too. The park areas are clean and looks gorgeous. Lots of nice buildings what you can check it out.

Beautiful place with a rich history, energized atmosphere, and incredible architecture. Highly recommend the tour of the inside of the Kremlin, where you can visit cathedrals dating back to the 13th century. Great place to be anytime during the day, but especially at night! (I would also advise making a stop at the eternal flame, which honors the loss of soldiers' lives in WWII).

If you wish to enter into the mausoleum, you'll have to endure the queue, especially at this summer period. The park benches are quite welcome for the tired tourist. Also no photography is permitted within Lenin's mausoleum,as a mark of respect. The change of guards is the highlight of any visit.. mesmerizing! The nearby ice cream stands are welcome during the summer heat!

Excellent views and daily spontaneous air shows. If you are (un)lucky you might meet everyone's favorite Balding Bunker Grandpa, and the various Orc Princes. Be mindful of the clown car filled with Orc TV hosts.
