Serenity lives here. Most of the place left as nature intended. During the day, the snakes, squirrels and monkeys are easy to spot. A great big python lives on the island on the lake, I have been there twice but yet to meet it. 6am tour with the guides gives you one of the rarest and best encounters with the crocodiles. Unfortunately bird watching is seasonal.

Very pleasant place - calm and restful. Fair for birds - I saw 23 species in just under 3 hours, but you could see more if you arrived when it opens at 06.00. Several water birds inc Lesser Jacana and Rufous-bellied Heron. Black and Common Cuckoo in the woodland.

An unexpected overnight camp spot for us and we were so glad to find it! Peaceful, with beautiful surroundings and caring staff. Facilities very basic but that is all you need for this little haven. The one carer, Bonaventuri, must have been one of the sweetest and likeable people we met on our 3 month overlanding trip!
