Beautiful Museum, especially if you are interested in Viking-Reenactment. You get to see the exhibits very close and you can see the determination of the Personnel by having a closer look at the props you can actually use. The Clothes are handsewn and at least partially handwoven. You also get to see the insides of an actual Burial-Site and a beautiful replica of the buried Ship. In addition you can have a look at some Buildings being build like 1000 Years ago. A short word about the employees: They were all super helpful and friendly. Definitely not our last visit here

Nettes kleines Museum. Guter Bookshop, leider meist nur auf dänisch. Kaffee und Eis vor Ort.

The Viking Museum in Ladby is centered around Denmark's only Viking grave. The grave was for a Viking king who was sent off on his final journey in the 900s. Small but interesting plus the museum hosts special activities.

Quite a small museum but with a big experience. The number of artefacts aren’t that many but there are plenty of information boards about the site / vikings. The main attraction besides the actual burial site is the reconstruction of the ship burial in the basement - both fascinating to see. Well worth a detour to visit.

Ein interessantes Museum, vor allem das Grab hat mich beeindruckt. Museumspädagogisch gut aufbereitete Austellung . In der Außenanlage bleibt noch Luft nsch oben. Hier ist noch einiges zu tun.

Denmark’s only Viking ship grave: that's it. It depends on how much you rank this in your cultural needs and you can decide if you will visit or not this place. In our opinion, it was worth it. The original ship is preserved under the grass mound (in a fridge cell). The reconstructed one is just a few meters away. Aside info: you can picnic in the area once you have made tickets. Plenty of blackberries. Cost for three adults above 300kr. Discount for young people and students.

A truly unique experience. The only place where it is possible to see a ship burial preserved in situ. Also a small but very interesting exhibition including grave goods and full size recreation of the ship burial prior to its interment.

The Viking Age is a fascinating period in history, and the Viking museum I visited did a great job of showcasing its rich culture and traditions. As I walked through the museum, I was impressed by the level of detail and attention that went into creating an immersive experience for visitors. One of the things I appreciated most about the museum was its emphasis on authenticity. The exhibits were carefully curated to accurately reflect the way of life of the Viking people. From the replica ships to the reconstructed houses, everything felt true to the time period.

Incredible experience seeing the world's only preserved viking king burial. I can’t believe this isn't a UNESCO site!

A must visit place‼️ Here is the only burial ship from the Viking Age discovered in Denmark! The museum is small, but quite interesting and informative. In the Museum you can even try on a Viking costume and take a selfie. Just in case, take cash before visiting the museum. Unfortunately we didn’t have it, but the kind lady let us in for free, since we had such a long trip getting there, for which we are very thankful to her. We were able to see such exclusive exhibits and feel the atmosphere of the Vikings time.

Cute museum for the whole family! If you havent got a car, you can reach it from Kerteminde by the very cheap "Summer bus" from the harbour (near the bus station and the Aquarium) (5 DKK/person). The exhibition and the parts of the "everyday viking-life" are both great: children can carve wooden knives, shoot with bow, bake viking bread and the whole family can try the really viking-fashioned clothes!

Smaller than i thought (not what she said) but a cute little museum that offers a view at the only preserved burial site of a viking king. Teller staff could be somewhat friendlier. It was not inviting to stay and have coffee there.

Not very big, but the burial mound is fairly unique. Worth a visit.

Ship is a main attraction outside and there are some activities for kids where they can experience the age of vikings. It is not so impressive as some other viking museums in area but with the excavated and reconstructed ship it does offer more realistic view on history. A bit more boards or interactive displays would enhance experience

Not much thing to see there about Viking. Just only about the ship.

It is cool to see the old remains of the boat and to see the newly build one. The rest of the museum was not really worth it. A lot of money for this little information.

A wonderful way to spend a few hours for the whole family! Various activities and games for the kids and a great insight into the history of the Vikings in Denmark. A lot of artifacts and historical treasures preserved and kept chronologically, which showcase the society during the prime of the Viking era

Great museum. The indoor exhibition is not very big but the outdoor area is incredible. Don't miss the burial of a viking ship with his horses and dogs.
