Beautifully made Temple. Peaceful. Kids friendly garden in the premises. Not good for senior citizens and disabled people. They will have to walk /climb too much. Approach roads are very congested and parking is very difficult for big card. Good only for small hatchbacks. Good experience overall. Nice place to visit, especially just around sunset time.

Birla Mandir is really nice place. The temple and the environment is really good, but the phones, camera and if you are carrying any bag, you have to submit it before entering in the temple. Apart from this their is also a garden after temple, that is also really good.

First of all, mobile phones are not allowed at this temple. If you are going by your car, there is no space for parking. It is a temple built by birlas a they are having a company nearby called century rayon. They have built it like old Indian temples but i cannot say they have matched it. However there are very few temples of this size. You can go with family on evening and enjoy sitting there on lawn. You need to climb stairs to go up so be cautious while taking elders.

This temple is situated at shahad which is next station from Kalyan towards kasara line, about 1.2 kilometres on East side which is walkable distance. To reach this temple, you need to walk through few steps. Mobile phones not allowed in temple premises and you have to deposit on main gate Temple is well maintained and having lawns in surrounding where you can relax for some time. There is also a big garden just outside of temple which is well maintained with lots of trees and playing instruments for children There is also a fountain which is operational in the evening. This temple and garden is recommended for a short trip in evening.

Birla Mandir is a Hindu temple for Vithoba located in the vicinity of the Century Rayon Company in Shahad, Ulhasnagar taluka, Thane district, Maharashtra, India. It has also served as a shooting location for various Bollywood films like Tere Naam, Prem Granth, Suhaag (Old), Golmaal: Fun Unlimited, etc. It is on the National Highway 61 (India) (Kalyan-Murbad-Nagar-Nanded-Adilabad) and is just 4 km from Kalyan city. Catch a train to Asangaon railway station(AN), Titwala railway station(TL) or Kasara railway station(N) from any station between Kalyan Junction railway station and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, and alight at Shahad railway station (Next to Kalyan Junction railway station). There are auto rickshaws available from Shahad (East) and Kalyan to Birla Mandir. Birla Mandir is very scenic & peaceful place. There is mini train for kids, in the adjacent Garden (Shivaji Udyan) which operates in evenings.

This is famous tourist attraction in Shahad/Kalyan area. It is on the National Highway 61 (India) (Kalyan-Murbad-Nagar-Nanded-Adilabad) and is just 4 km from Kalyan city. Catch a train to Asangaon railway station(AN), Titwala railway station(TL) or Kasara railway station(N) from any station, and alight at Shahad railway station (Next to Kalyan Junction railway station). There are auto rickshaws available from Shahad (East) and Kalyan to Birla Mandir. There is open parking available in temple area from where you can take a walk of 5-10 mins to reach to the temple. Birla Temple is very peaceful and scenic place and you can definitely plan visit to this place. It has also served as a shooting location for various Bollywood films. However one thing to be noted that, to reach to the temple entrance there is stiff slope which might be difficult for elderly people with knee problems and there are approximately 30-40 steps on the route so please plan accordingly.

It has two different temple in row.. but ine is very much old which is of Lord Rama. Behind that temple one garden which has a way to reach to Birla Mandir. Birla mandir is special for the creativity of the temple from inside as well as Outside. Also very much attractive Vitthala and Rakhumai as well as Lord Ganesha and Lord Ram statues. Must visit place.

Temple is absolutely beautiful, but the Staff (Security Guards) are very rude. They have 0 respect of people visiting there. They don't adhere to temple timeline. They don't let you sit and meditate in the temple and start asking you to leave the premises 1 hour prior to close time. Today they asked everyone to leave temple at 6:30 pm. We don't come to temple to touch and go. We Come to meditate and absorb the vibes. They spoil all good vibes with such behaviour. Very disappointed. This was not 1st time. Management should look into this.

It's beautiful, peaceful. Overall, very nice place. Bit 1 thing I didn't like is they don't allow u to sit for a longer time and they don't allow you to click pictures. You have to submit your camera and phone before u enter the premises, just at the security entrance. Am not talking about clicking picture of the lord but it's architectures are also amazing capture worthy which we didn't get an opportunity to capture. Overall, it's a nice place to visit. Nearby they have a garden which is really nice. Must visit the garden too... You can chill there.

The temples is good maintained and vibes are good ..but the staff guards are rude...they will ask you to get up even if ur sitting peacefully in the temple..also they ask people to get up from garden also .if you sit for more then half an hour ..it's like they decided what they want to do with people ..also they give back answers when asked for any question...the authorities should look into this

No idea why they want Bhakts to keep their mobiles outside, with security guards. Lots of images of this temple are already available in public domain, even on Google Maps. So what are they achieving by doing this? In case only mobile phone is deposited, they keep it in a bin and give token. In case it's kept in a bag, the bag is kept on the floor without even giving a token. When it was asked what is the redressal mechanism in case high end mobile gets misplaced, the guard wasn't aware. Pretty uncomfortable! They should allow carrying the mobile phones inside, although after switching them off.

Extremely peaceful temple on the top of the cliff. You cannot carry your mobile phone and you must submit it at the entrance. You can see the Sahad skyline from the top which is quite startling. The temple architecture is something you will praise. Also, the attached garden is well maintained.

Nice architecture. The way to temple from main road is quite narrow. The temple is on small hill which is surrounded small chawl houses. The area around temple is quite neat and clean. It has very beautiful garden nearby. Like all Birla Mandir's Mobile phone and cameras are not allowed. You have to submit your phone to the security. The place is very clean and neat. Overall nice place to visit.

Beautiful Temple. Just 12 mins walk from Shahad Station. One can also get a share-rickshaw for 15rs or so. One has to keep their phones at the entrance before entering as mobile phones are not allowed inside. The premises are clean and well maintained. Very beautiful temple

We went here with the help of maps only and somehow it showed us the way from the lord Ram's temple. There's a door connecting to the garden which we have to cross and we will be reaching birla mandir. The direct route is also available but it's more complicated and the locals have more idea about it. That connecting door opens at 4pm everyday. The great rule about the temple is people CANNOT TAKE THEIR MOBILE PHONES INSIDE, which I think is good. It's like disconnecting from the world of tech and re-connecting with nature and divine energy and peace. Although on my visit I saw one person snuck the phone inside the temple and had a great talk with the caretakers about it, as he was clicking pictures. Wonderful infrastructure and detailed work on rocks. The temple has this divine energy and good vibes it just feels rejuvenating after reaching there. A must visit !

Explore a captivating temple with a vibrant and invigorating atmosphere perfect for a visit. Enjoy the serene grassy seating area, ideal for relaxing and spending quality time with family amidst positive vibes. Note that mobile phones are not permitted inside; however, convenient lockers are available at the entry gate for safe storage.

Nice small, peaceful and tranquil place. Temple complex with a maintained lawn outside. Clean and tidy place. Footwear, mobiles/cameras and food items are to be kept at security while entering the temple. The temple is a bit uphill with a few meters of climbing. At the foot of the hill, you may get local eateries for snacks and beverages. The architecture of the temple is beautiful and has got Dashavatar engraved on the outside perimeter. Popular attraction is a carving of an elephant and a bull combined.

The temple is so beautiful. It gives you a calm ,peaceful and relaxing vibes. You can't carry your mobile phones inside the temple and you need to submit it. Garden is also well maintained. Must visit. The city view from the top is awesome.

Good place to visit in Shahad. You can enjoy the peace in here. You can't get in there with your phone/mobile. The security guard will kept the phone at the entrance. After getting threats from terrorist such rules are made. This place is good to visit with family. There is one park as well where you can go and have fun. Children would definitely enjoy this place. On some occasions they allow the mobile phone. Example: on ekadashi you can bring in your phones.

Excellent property, so well developed and maintained by the Birla group. The temple is dedicated to 'Vithoba-Rakhumai' but is designed in Rajasthani ethnic architecture. Very well articulated columns and beams and exquisitely articulated corbelled dome shaped ceilings. The ceilings behold modern day heros like Mahanta Gandhi, Lokamanya Tilak, and other socio-political leaders rather than deities. The premises is absolutely clean with well maintained green lawns all around and has excellent washroom facilities. On the way to temple, one cannot miss an entrance to Shivaji Maharaj garden, which is a huge and well landscaped open space. The garden is free from fast food/ junk food 'thelas', which is available at the base of the temple but keeping all the silly junk out of the temple premises as well as garden. A must visit if you are looking for a peaceful temple visit.
