Visited Hampi in off season. Overall stay was good & affordable. Very well located all tourist places are within 3-4Km distance. Owner is a nice person, caretakers were helpful. Only issue we faced due to electricity as power backup was not available .

We first booked this place for the stay on a weekend. We were told it's a cottage and will cost Rs.1200/-. As many others have mentioned in their review, this is not even a cottage. It's just a place where bamboo sheet dividers are added to make separate rooms. There was no electricity when we reached around 2pm until 8 pm and when we decided to leave the room as there was no electricity back up and the rooms are highly congested with thin walls and zero ventilation. We were asked to pay atleast Rs. 800/- which ideally should have been the entire price. We suggest you check other stays before booking this as we found several other places at the same price in better condition. Issues: 1. No electricity back up 2. Congested 3. With all the peep holes, anything can come in your room. 4. Not the best location and view (we found another accomodation with Virupaksha Temple view within 5 mins walk). 5. They said that they have a personal parking reserved for their accommodation but it looked like just a common space which looked like a place where others tie their cattle and throw garbage occasionally. 6. Thin walls. You have to get out of the room if you would like to discuss anything here with someone else. You can easily hear and understand the conversation in other rooms. 7. The above review is based on the fact that they charged Rs. 1200/- for such a room. While you can have better accomodation with better view and location for same price.

Hampi in itself is a back packers place. Wouldn’t really recommend it for family’s as stays there aren’t equipped for a family. Kushi cottage is located right next to virupaksha temple making it an ideal location. The owner was very sweet and even after check out was very helpful. Clean room, clean bathroom and a safe place overall. Yes the walls are thin but that doesn’t really bother anybody.

I loved my stay at Khushi Cottages. It was in the perfect location to explore Hampi - right by the Bazaar. It was very clean and comfortable. Nothing was too much for the owners - they were very quick to respond to all queries, super helpful and generally lovely people. Would recommend very highly!
