Nice hostel, very cozy, even better than most of business hotel. Excellent view of Sky Tree. Staffs are nice. Clean, well equipped bathroom with unlimited hot spring and shampoo. Provides simple breakfast. Be sure to bring your own brush. Highly recommend!

Pillow, bed and duvet in the pod room was very comfortable though there’s only a curtain covering your sleeping area so it’s easy enough to hear people walking in and out, coughing etc. Not much place to store luggage if you need it right next to you. There is also a USB port and normal Japanese plug point next to the bed. Shower was good, rooftop was nice and hostel is in an excellent location as it’s just a 3-minute walk to Asakusa station which connects directly to both Narita and Haneda airports.

Best things about this hostel 1) Airport connect - super easy to get to the hostel from the airport. Just take the airport Ginza line all the way to Asakusa and walk ~2min from the station. It cost about 1300yen per person. 2) Amazing service - the staff all speak different languages. They make you feel welcomed and are attentive to needs. The facilities are also clean. There is a bar downstairs that is open till 10pm and has a very chill vibe. 3) Close to attractions/food - the hostel is surrounded by restaurants and attractions. The Zenkoji temple is only ~5min walking. Of that's not enough the Ginza line is just 2 min way from the hostel. That should take you to Shibuya, Ueno, and other great locations. Bonus - Incredible views!!!! You will not find a Hostel like this one anywhere else.

Amazing place, would highly recommend. Stayed in a private room on the 3rd floor in a party of 5. Room was clean as were the bathrooms, sheets on the bed were great too. I'm 188cm (6ft2in) and fit perfectly fine in the beds. Rooftop patio was very nice and offered a great view of the Skytree and river. All of the staff were lovely and very helpful in recommending food places around.

Clean. Nice Staff. Excellent location. One of the best I have experienced in Tokyo. (stayed in 4 locations) Perfect for travelers new to Japan who want to see major tourist locations but are nervous about navigating a lot.

Beautiful little hostel in a fantastic location. Very close to food and the metro, spotlessly clean, and with an awesome view from the roof. Many of the beds have the same view. The owners are delightfully friendly. I will definitely stay here again.

Solid place. Perfect for overnight layover between airports because the train station for both airports is 2 minutes walking. Only problem I had was my cube was chilly at night as it was.far.from the heater.

Great hostel with great atmosphere. Nice rooms, kind of like a capsule room but more spacious. Really near the Asakusa train station and Asakusa main area. Would recommend.

Great little hostel in a great location with good value for money. However, you have to be aware that everything is very small and narrow. But super clean and great service. The breakfast was delicious, but there is only one offer here, so I only took advantage of it once (500 yen).

Nice hostel, located near Asakusa station and sumida river. You can see the tokyo skytree and the asahi building from the window. Staff are nice. If i had a chance to tokyo I will stay here again.

Best hostel for quality, price and convenience!!! The shampoo and conditioner is top quality - left my hair silky and smooth. Reception has the kindest people so friendly and kind! Water and a small microwave and refrigerator were provided in the basement lobby which is really nice too! It is impeccably clean, they provide ear plugs, towel and slippers. It is a real capsule bed and not a bunk bed. The capsule has a nice charging station with multiple outlets and ample hanger space for essentials. A delicious breakfast and beer can be bought as well!!! The location is central and the price is great and the guests respectful, the privacy screen is truly private and offers a beautiful view of sumida river!!!

Love the pod concept and how the female and male toilet being separated although showers, basins and pods area are co-shared. Very convenient location with train stations less than 5 minutes walk and Sumida River just right behind. Hosts were really helpful and they do speak English. The property is a mixed pods concept. I stayed in pod #3 and it's facing the main entrance of the pods area. I feel very insecure as the curtain didn't really able to cover my pod fully and I have to make some extra security measures. Also, since the pods are made of wooden structure, it will not be a noise free/ minimum noise kinda accommodation. Just need to bear with your inconsiderate pod mates. Although this property accepts credit cards, just a little downside with additional 3% on top of your accommodation fee. This is a cash preferred property. Staircase leading to the pods area are kinda challenging with large and heavy suitcases but then again maybe it's just me who uses a suitcase and crashing at a hostel. Visited in 2019.

this hostel is good , location is perfect because its near asakusa station , a lot of restaurant and convenience mart is around this hostel , no need to worry when you are hungry in the middle of night . i choose a 4 bed room , but the room is not big enough for us, maybe it's because we have 4 luggage so the space is not enough , and our room have some weird smell , so that we have to open the window to let the smell out , overall the room is ok , but not good enough . the stuff is very friendly and helpful , even you cant speak japanese they can speak english with you . the sharing bathroom and toilet are so nice and clean , but the common area at the downstairs is too short , you have to bend down your body to walk down this place.

Chapter Two's location is a stone's throw from Sensoji Temple and overlooks Sumida River. Good access to the airport and the Ginza line to Shibuya. Stunning view from the rooftop. The staff are all very helpful, friendly, and speak English so don't worry if your Japanese isn't great. My pod felt comfortable, clean and secure. It's a fairly small hostel so the lounge area is always a hive of activity. It's easy to chat to other guests. Also you can get a breakfast of a hot drink, toasted sandwich and yogurt for 500 yen. I will definitely be back when I next stay in Tokyo.

Our stay at Hostel Chapter Two was excellent. The owner/host was incredibly friendly and had great recommendations for restaurants (we visited two of them). The location was great — right on the river and close to the Sensō-ji temple. Gorgeous view of the Skytree & Asahi building. We stayed in the single room (not the pods), so we had our own bed/toilet/sink. The shower was shared and was very clean with high quality shampoo/conditioner. There was a little bit of noise from downstairs, but not much & people seemed to respect the quiet hours. Would definitely stay again if we come back to Asakusa!

I’m booking private room at 3rd floor. Great river’s view. The room is okay, double bed with share bathroom. No refrigerator in the room but have at 1st floor, so just fine. Staff are very helpful and really try hard to understand my accent. I have a 2 large luggages but they help to get it to my room. On the second day I have one large keyboard case that has to leave it on the luggage room. Also staff help us to get it inside and also help we get it out. Share bathroom are good, cleaned, quiet and have enough facilities. Cons: - The place is a-bit small but tidy, a-bit hard to go upstairs if you stay on the 3rd floor with big luggage and no elevator. - There’s some dust on the floor and beside the bed, if you’re not allergic is fine. - The password for entering my room are not safe, there is password on the keycard but I have try some others numbers and I can still get in. So not sure if the password is still working. - The room is not noise proof. Lastly, if any staff reading this. I’m really sorry for forgot my keycards. I just came home and saw it in my luggage. ._.

Hostel is not that big as other hipster hostels in Tokyo. It makes it much more cosy and you are actually able to chat with other people and the owner. Common space is so nice, that we could stay there all mornings. And views are amazing, especially from the rooftop where you can relax. The owner is very helpful even after you check out. I will stay there again for sure!

Superb hospitality from the kind folks who run the place - ask them for restaurant recommendations. Within walking distance of Kaminarimon and Senso-ji. Highly accessible, with transit connectivity from airport (Haneda), shinkansen (Shinagawa) via Keikyu Line, as well as other major Tokyo attractions via Ginza Line. Outstanding cleanliness and facilities - new hairdryers and common room kotatsu were installed during my stay. Pleasant views of the Sumida River and Tokyo Skytree can be seen from some rooms, as well as the multi-purpose rooftop space with Wi-Fi connectivity - suitable for digital nomads. Hosts often invite you to join them for drinks and dinner if there is an event happening. Wholly deserving of the high ratings.

Great place. owner is very nice and the beds are comfortable. Only complaint is the amount of noise others would make at all hours. Japan hostel stayers lack common courtesy and could use a lesson on it. A little noise enforcement would help.

Staff friendly and suggested places to visit, rooms clean and comfy, close to city and station. Roof top was a nice touch :)

Definitely recommended! I was on my Tokyo solo trip for 10 nights and stayed in the pod room which was so cozy and pretty private with wooden pod and curtain, not soundproofed though. The location is great. Very close to Ginza line and Asakusa line, including the direct train to and from Narita Airport. The hosts were friendly, especially Erika who was so nice and strong 😊

The safe wasn't secured type, but otherwise all setting was very well done. Just at the top floor balcony was better if there was shaded area for hot daytime.

Amazing location. (Just in front of the river & in the heart of Asakusa). • The air in the shared bathroom was a little too cold… (great shower though) the mattresses weren’t flat… & there was some noises coming from the other rooms… But aside from these, the overall experience was good & the staff was amazing. Recommended :)

My best stay when I was in Tokyo. Central to everything. Super close to the station. Friendly staff and great size for a capsule hotel room. I stayed here last year. How I wish I could go there again this year but covid outbreak says otherwise. I hope I can go back as soon as possible.

The staff was amazing in their service, very kind as well! We were running late to our dinner reservation and we asked if we can use their phone to help call. They called the cafe on our behalf and spoke with the cafe staff explaining our situation and helped push back our reservation time. They also helped us in calling a cab when it came time to leave and move onto a different place. Location wise, you have a choice between 2 lines to travel to and from the hostel. It was very convenient when it came to planning our days around Tokyo. Stayed in a private room on the 3rd fl and we were able to fit all 3 big luggage in the room with us. The whole place in general was very clean and wouldn't mind returning for future trips!
