So
my
visit
to
Oh!
Calcutta
was
just
worth
it.
Having
taken
a
day
off
from
my
job
was
really
fruitful.
My
friends
and
I
visited
Oh!
Calcutta
for
lunch
and
opted
for
Al
a
Carte.
For
starters,
we
tried
Posto
Narkol
Tikki,
Fulkopi
Aam
Kashondi
Paturi
and
Fish
Roll.
My
favourite
among
them
would
surely
be
the
paturi.
This
is
really
hard
to
conceive
how
a
vegetarian
item
with
such
simple
items
could
taste
so
wonderful.
This
is
a
fairly
simple
dish
but
the
taste
is
something
which
keeps
you
glued
to
this
place.
I'd
choose
this
dish
over
our
regular
Ilish
Paturi,
anyday.
Coming
to
the
Fish
Roll,
it
was
very
tasty
as
well.
The
crunchy
crust
and
the
core
made
of
fish
and
shrimp
paste,
coupled
with
mustard
sauce...that's
what
I
call,
my
kinda
starter.
I'm
not
a
fish
guy
but
then,
this
fried
roll
was
not
our
ordinary
roll.
This
was
indeed
special.
The
Posto
Narkol
Tikki
was
amazing
as
well.
I
really
wonder
how
the
chef
manages
to
bring
out
the
flavours
so
well
out
of
these
common
day
to
day
items.
For
main
course,
we
loved
to
go,
the
Bengali
traditional
way.
We
loved
to
have
Steamed
Rice,
Daal
and
Gota
Masalar
Lal
Murgi.
Now,
talking
of
bhaat
and
daal
with
some
aalu
bhaja,
we
all
know
that
it
is
incomparable.
That
is
always
a
bliss.
But
this
was
the
first
time
that
I
had
tried
the
Gota
Masalar
Lal
Murgi.
What
we
generally
have
it
herbs
and
spices
that
are
all
finely
ground
and
added
to
the
food
to
infuse
the
flavors.
Here,
the
whole
spices
were
out
into
the
food
and
was
cooked
over
a
slow
flame
to
infuse
the
flavours.
That's
a
really
unique
creation
and
I
loved
it.
For
desserts,
we
had
Gulab
Jamun
and
Butterscotch
Ice
Cream.
I
have
been
to
the
other
branch
at
Forum
Mall
but
I
do
feel
that
the
ambience
and
the
food
is
much
better
here.
Thank
you
Oh!
Calcutta
for
extending
an
invitation
to
me.
