An amazing place with cool breeze around muyenga. Good for taking your date out. And the place has an amazing services.

The views we're to die for, it's in central Kampala yet you get the feel that you are out of town. The food was very filling and delicious. I highly recommend the fish. The service was equally good but nothing tops the location and the Ambience. I definitely found myself a new spot in Kampala.

First off, the view never disappoints. Got the porkchops, and they were perfectly seasoned, and they were exquisite. I definitely recommend them. The cocktails are amazing as well. The food was so good I was so engrossed in it I forgot to take pictures. Since Google doesn't allow you to review the same place twice, I'm adding it here. The presentation was commendable, they tried, but they didn't bring all our food at the same time, and defeats the whole purpose of ordering everything at once. All the food was divine. The pork chops were excellent but a bit tough. The pizza was delicious and crust crunchy, which I like, and the Masala fries and roasted chicken were great, but the chicken was more on the dry side and I prefer the latter.

Nice views and atmosphere. I had Masala chips which were quite nice, on the spicy side.

Great venue, significantly more seating capacity than my first visits many years ago (when it was The Woods). Go early enough to enjoy one of Kampala's best views of Lake Victoria. Quick food service by staff wearing masks. I had a burger and fries. Very good but I should have asked for no mayo. Salad could have been a bit fresher.

Didn’t have the air conditioned room I requested. Then decided to charge me the same price (double!) for the cost of a room with a fan. Refused to change it to the correct price and I had to pay $140 for a fan room instead of $70. If you choose to stay here make sure the pricing is very clear before you check in. Or they will take advantage of you.

Hand shower is missing in the bathroom, there is only an overhead shower. The bed is very comfortable, the best I have experienced so far in an Ugandan hotel. The location with view on Lake Vic is phantastic and also not far from the restaurants and night clubs in Muyenga, Kabalagala and Ggaba... 😉

This is a great place to escape, in Kampala. I particularly enjoyed the winding walkways, wooden terraces showcasing an amazing view of Lake, good food, birds chirping, creative art, beautiful cabins. Loved it!

It is a best place. With a nice view of the lake Victoria from the top of the hill. It also have nice wildlife (monkeys) when keep the guest entertained; because its on top of the hill and it's air quality is really good, also thanks to the trees. The service from the staff is also wonderful.

Very good scenery if you are the out doorsie kind of person has a 'in the woods' setting, I enjoyed the emence space between the tables which allows for social distancing and conversation privacy. The service was also great, however I couldn't ignore the lack of ushering services which would especially be useful for first timers; it's a place with many twists and turns (for a first timer) so I would be nice for an usher to show you to the bar, or restaurant or cabins. Fix that and in my book it'll be a 6 star place

I loved the place! It's within the city, but it really feels like a forest. I like how they designed the place with distinct (but interconnected) areas, each with its own atmosphere. It feels peaceful to be there. Food and drink is excellent. And I loved the monkeys that live there.

Kampala Forest resort (KFR) This hotel I first went there at an event that a close fee held I had order a simple burger with golden chips The burger was very juicy and big it as so nice as a milkshake I had the chocolate milkshake it was very nice then I went another time and I had ordered the pizza and pasta when I had the pasta the sauce was so creamy the pasta was nice and not stuck together the pizza was chicken pizza the pizza was so rich in cheese and very tasty and soft for a drink I had a simple soda with ice cream a vanilla ice cream it was so creamy and tasty this is a place I recommend someone to go for the service was very nice the waiters/waitresses were always checking on you to see if you need anything everything was very good definitely a place I recommend for you to go

The Restaurant/bar is the reason why my partner and I decided to stay here overnight. Drinks and food was great, friendly staff and the location is extraordinary. There are loads of seating areas and one can easily relax there the entire day. The resort rooms were pleasant, clean and equipped with a mosquito net. We faced some difficultly with he TV, but the staff acted efficiently and proactively to fix the problem Overall a very comfortable stay

The ideal location to unwind is Kampala Forest Resort. Regardless of the time of day or night, I just so happened to be there with some friends and we got a margarita pizza, which arrived promptly and was great. I really enjoy their African tea. Ancient portraits painted by artists are everywhere. It's a really lovely setting with lovely gardens, a bar area, and a restaurant. I am really excited to return.

The ambiance is good and the wife and I liked it was outside. Only thing is the music seemed a bit one sided. Could there be some jazz at times? At night many couples go there to chill and some of the music seemed a bit fast tempo.

Me and my family have supported you guys from the first owners and everything has been cool till yesterday when the erlthiopian manager was very rude to my son,he asked my 5 year old if he can wash dishes to compensate for sitting on the high chairs around the upper Asian restaurant asked him if he could start right away,I first thought he was joking but he got more serious and told him to sit on the seat as though he was an adult and with a tough face yet there were no customers where my son was seated,I don't appreciate men who are rude to kids,kids can't sit like robots,next time learn to be kind and soft with kids,it's the last time we will sit up there,we will seat near the chicken barbecue guy coz that side,they're kinder,they have never hurt our feelings.enjoy your upper area.we customers give birth so we won't interfere with your comfort up there,also stop asking us questions,let us enjoy our money when we come
