It’s a great place to relax and chill with an epic ambience of the golf course, the swimming pool is not crowded at all and the food 🍱 at the Silver City restaurant is awesome. This time round there were no the famous burger πŸ” promotion where u bought on and had the other free. They have a small kids play area incase you come with a child. Parking is secure and the toilets are fairly clean. Great place to try out.

The rooms are spacious, the food is delicious, the view on the golf course is relaxing. The staff of this hotel is very professional, each employee doing its very best to satisfy the requests of the guests. I have appreciated very much my stay in this hotel and look forward to a next stay there

It was OK, but too antique for my liking... I think it's typical of hotels in Kampala, I'm not used to that and it is my opinion that they should upgrade. The good side is the rooms are spacious, almost too spacious and if you're a golfer like me, you will get a voucher to play at the golf course, it was expensive! Over a hundred dollars a night.... They gym equipment need a lot of upgrade

It's a good hotel in the city with a good ambience. It seems to have also been affected by the slump in business due to covid 19 restrictions around the world. So it looks slightly weathered but still a good place to have an event. The parking place is sufficient though not very big. There's a clean looking swimming pool.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Golf Course Hotel in Kampala, and I must say it was an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment I stepped foot into the hotel, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional hospitality. Here are the reasons why I believe this hotel deserves five stars: Luxurious Accommodations: The rooms were spacious, elegantly decorated, and equipped with all the modern amenities one could wish for. The comfortable beds ensured a restful night's sleep, and the cleanliness was impeccable. Stunning Views: The hotel's location provided breathtaking views of the golf course and the surrounding city. Waking up to such beautiful scenery was a treat in itself. Exceptional Dining: The dining options were top-notch! Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the food was delicious and presented with great attention to detail. The diverse menu catered to various tastes, and the staff was always ready to accommodate any special dietary requests. World-Class Facilities: The hotel had a range of facilities to keep guests entertained and relaxed. The pool area was a perfect oasis to unwind, and the fitness center was well-equipped for those who wanted to stay active. Stellar Service: What truly sets Golf Course Hotel apart is its staff. Each member of the team was courteous, friendly, and incredibly attentive. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was nothing short of exceptional. Convenient Location: The hotel's proximity to the city center and major attractions made it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers. It was easy to access various places, and the hotel's shuttle service was an added convenience. Safe and Secure: The hotel takes security seriously, providing a safe and secure environment for guests. I felt completely at ease throughout my stay. Golf Course Hotel in Kampala exceeded all my expectations. It's a luxurious haven with a touch of elegance, offering outstanding service and comfort. Whether you're in Kampala for business or leisure, I highly recommend this hotel for an unforgettable experience. I can't wait to return for another visit!

This is one of the hotels in Kampala with the best facilities for meetings , conferences and actually do have a great menu of delicious food. When it comes to services I can't complain because their stuff is not only hospitable but also a response one. It's one of a kind. I recommend it for you and everyone else.

Been at the hotel a couple of times but mainly for conferences and AGMs... the venue is perfect for both small and large meetings, quiet and tranquil atmosphere for deliberations. the 3 course buffet is samptuous, service quite courteous though can be slow and the service staff need some coaching on how to talk to customers.... hence my 4 star rating...

It's fine for It's status, didn't get the chance to go past the lobby but it was just fine comfortable and conveniently quiet so good to relax especially after a long day other than your room, great place to hold meetings. Security is on point and I strategically located within the city making it easy to access from any direction. I would recommend it for a medium budget traveller.

My 4th stay, it's showing a little age but still a great hotel for central Kampala. Nice size room, quiet, good service, good Internet. Really nice breakfast, the chef cooked some chicken kabobs on request, very friendly.

Situated in the heart of Kampala, this place has a good bar and restaurant with good views. It is mostly convenient for hosting conferences and business events. Even a date can be awesome here.

I liked the place so good. We enjoyed the place was so awesome that's all I can say as per now

  • 3/5 muhwezi d. 1 year ago on Google
I was here for a conference. The chicken was awful. Just stay away from their lunch. Am not sure if they plan for the multitude of guests that they'll be receiving. The breakfast is good but served in very small doses. The conference hall was okay. The toilets had no soap, and seemed abandoned.

Awesome place! Especially the revolving Restaurant...the view was fantastic. The only disappointment was the WIFI... it is not strong enough. Management should look into this.

Quiet and comfortable. The food was lovely. Though they did take their time with the food but I think it wasn't peak hour and I asked for something complicated. You get a free mint with the bill though.

The breakfast options were amazing. Loved their beef and pineapples. The gym was dusty and wasn't cleaned our whole stay there. The equipment at the gym is pretty good quality. The WiFi in the room was unstable at times. Service was okay.

The only unsatisfying thing is the uncleaned swimming pool. Stanbic bank always hosts staff parties there so I love the second floor with it's greenery

Wasn't sure what to expect from a place called Golf Course Hotel, but was pleasantly surprised in a good way! Rooms were a little dated, but were large and comfortable. Shops and food are nearby within walking distance, and the vibe is good. Would not hesitate to stay here again when I revisit Uganda.

Hotel overall is good, but the biggest problem is wifi. I've never seen worse wifi ever. Breakfasts are great, variety of food and of course juicy fruits. If you are staying during business trip make sure to get better data plan from local mobile operators, since hotel wifi on its way to funeral. The lights are bit dim in rooms. Make sure to get golf field view if you want better sleep, because traffic sounds starting 6am can be disturbing in street view rooms. There is a small gym, very old and dusty, but has what's needed, couple treadmills and weights. Swimming pool is outdoors, couldn't bare to swim in it. Enjoyed the cleanliness and spacious rooms.

Very nice place to stay. Don't get confused with golf course hotel with gold course apartment. Kindly check well before booking. Golf course apartment is worst place to stay. Where as golf course Hotel in Garden City is best and worth the money. I booked this for my friend. The staffs are courteous and food is great and they have variety in breakfast. Their facilities are awesome.

Beautiful place, great break tea especially. Lunch too in their restaurant is great. For those who choose lunch, you will have a treat. Looking for great conference hall, ample parking space. It is on the main road with as all weather road. There is ample parking. It is almost in the city Centre it overlooks the golf course. There is a lot of green So the fresh air flows through. Free WiFi is available.

  • 3/5 Michelle K. 2 years ago on Google
The place lacks the childish glee and playfulness it once held, let alone any meaning to its name. The atmosphere is damp and slowly kills the 'fun for the whole family' narrative. Nowadays, the place is plain and no longer has the identity it did years back. It offers adequate space for large get togethers and parties. However, the steady stream of pop break up songs dampens the mood. But, I suppose, Ed Sheeran helps. Trampolines, a minuscule playroom and an occasional movie are available for children's entertainment. I must say though, one of the reasons I keep coming back is the food. From their steak to their ribs, their food is worth it, my compliments to the chef.

My boyfriend Michael and I stayed at the hotel for almost a fortnight and the service was exceptional. Everyone was friendly, helpful and kind to us. Ben at the bar is a good guy, he made us feel at home. Michael says Ben is his best buddy in Uganda. Generally everyone from house keeping to the guys at the reception were kind and helpful. Thanks guys!

Great ambiance, great food, clean toilets but needs some exterior touch ups due to peeling paint on the walls, cracks and dusty walla.

Don't fall for the airport transfer, you still have to pay $60 for a transportation that really costs $30. Towels are hard stiff as well as the twin beds. Only une universal electric plug in the room that damaged my trimmer. This is not a 5 star hotel as sold to me. So far this place don't exceed the 3 stars. The only good thing is the service, very attentive employees. Good hot water, air conditioning and breakfast are the only amenities are worth.

  • 3/5 Simon E. 2 years ago on Google
Loved the accommodation and friendly staff. It's a 3 star because the Silver City Grill was not up to the standard. We would wait nearly 2 hours for our orders to arrive on the table.

We had my wedding at the hotel and was really nice that they made everything workout on a last minute booking. They also have a beautiful honey moon sweet. They handed the food with a great Cheff that tailored the food to what we wanted. We booked the hall upstairs and was perfect and never had to worry about weather. They also have the outdoor pool area available.
